A man after my own heart ❤😂. I think most of your art supplies I have collected. Rotting 600, water brush etc. u have some good Art supplies mate. Thanks for the video. 😊
The Rotring 600 is a very nice mechanical pencil, but I have found that at that price point I prefer the Pentel Orenz nero (I still carry both in my kit but reach for the Nero 9/10 times). The Orenz nero uses a 1 click, semi-automated lead feeding system which I really enjoy. Of course if you enjoy the act of clicking out more lead periodically it's probably not the choice for you.
aaaaa now i need to try it :) of the Rotring I really like the weight and feeling in the hand. I was previously using a Pentel Graph Gear 1000 and I wasn't that comfortable using it. It also helps that the Rotring kinda looks and feels like my favourite mechanical pencil, the Caran D'Ache Fixpencil. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see if I can try an Orenz :)
Lovely ideas, thanks! My kit is even smaller, but that's because I'm a beginner :) I bring a small pocket sketch book, a pencil case with a graphite pencil, rubber, a fineliner, a few watercolour pencils and a brush that has a water reservoir. That's enough for my bad sketches for now. :D
It's important to have a kit you are comfortable with so to bring it with you as often as possible. I like sketchbooks that are at the very least A5 because they help avoid drawing too much with the wrist. Also I don't carry with me an eraser, this helps you focus more on the drawing and speeds up your progress. Thanks for watching :)
I like the idea of being aware and noticing being as important as the actual creation of art. I’ve always said that the hardest part in painting is getting the color right (takes into account all the aspects of color, value etc… the stuff that bores people so I just say “color”), the rest is just technical execution, easy, for me anyway. Awareness does actually come first so good point. I take pics on my phone and have setup folders in the phone to categorize everything. I have sunset/rise, beach, trees, sky… there are many overlaps of course but I don’t worry too much. I’ve somewhere near 15,000 photos and the best ones get categorized. I’m just getting setup for a portable setup and it looks very similar so far. Watercolor and pencil.
Yeah saying color always sounds like the fun part :P It's a good thing to take some time to categorise, especially since it's so easy to take a million photos with the current technology, I struggle in convincing myself to take time to do that ahah, I just try to have a very small SD card on the camera so I can't take too many reference photos when going around. I'm curious to know what you end up adding to your portable kit ;)
Ah the Rotring 🤗 I have the same one and one in 0.7 😄 I only use these now, they are so good. I also have the Muji but use a Pilot 78G+ with Platinum Chou Kuro for ink lines.
They really are good, the feeling is just great and I find it perfectly balanced. Which leads do you use? I'm just starting with fountain pens :P I'll need to get more informed hehe . Thanks for watching.
@@robdomeart I use Faber Castell in the 0.5 and Pilot Color Eno in the 0.7 (red, I love sketching with red) 😄 Have fun on the Fountain Pen trail. After using many brands, I found I love the Japanese ones the best. Sailor for writing and Pilot for drawing.
It's called magnetic tape. It's usually sold in stationery and office supplies shops, it comes in a roll with adhesive on one side and it's soft enough to be cut into little squares. I then stick them under the palette wells. I added an amazon link to the supplies . Hope this helps.

Can you share what type of magnets you use for your palette and water container? Thank you 🎉

😂I was in Sydney when I filmed this video, I needed to swap the umbrella for sunscreen 😅
@@robdomeart Yeah, that sounds like Australia... 👌
do you have problems with the water cup leaking when in the bag at all?
No, it's very well sealed.
where is the little water cup from?
Thanks for watching! I'm actually currently preparing a video on that :P
Looks like the little ‘specimen’ pot you get given at the doctors surgery 😅
@@annepercival7814 ah you got me haha :P sharp eye.
