You have such a sensitivity to you Natasha, and it shines so bright and warm in all your videos. I am so happy to have been following you for years now and like so many of your YT followers, I am very proud of your success and achievements. You are so inspiring! Wishing you peace filled days and more laughter and fun trips with Dominic. (You deserve them.) Also, I really want one of those Sendak rolls now! xx
The mini Sendak roll is so aesthetically pleasing & I’m really impressed at how much you can fit in it! An excellent art grab bag for days out! I’m sure that Winston Churchill would have approved! 💼 I loved the art materials that you picked & your colour choices 🎨 Your artwork was beautiful as always 🙌 I’m glad that the footage was useful too! It was fun to briefly be your cameraman, & if anyone goes to Chartwell, I can recommend the iced coffee & the cake from the gardener’s cottage, a perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. Give our best to Jock the cat too! 🐈 xxx
I have the regular size Sendak roll and I absolutely love it. I’d love to get the mini too, it was great to see what you have in yours. I’m eager to see how you set up the regular one. I love the places you have been filming for us lately, it is such a treat to see these gorgeous old houses and the gardens. I never get tired of it. I love the palette you set up for the mini, I screenshot it so I can study it at greater length. Thanks so much for the video Natasha!
The video of the larger Sendak will be coming soon! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this one. I love filming these beautiful National Trust properties and gardens - it's nice to share a glimpse of our days out!
Excellent idea, a "No Excuses" small art kit. Everything you need, nothing that you don't. Great color choices, also! Loved the footage of Winston Churchill's home, especially his art studio. Thanks for sharing with us. ♥
This is a wondeful example of how artist's in the youtube community can inspire and support each-other. I did wonder if Kriksis's video on the mini sendak roll from Peg & Awl would inspire you to purchase one, but along with the art tool kit palettes they are perfect thing to create a grab and go art kit to paint outside. I love how much you can actually fit into the roll even though it's small. Chartwell house is a favourite of mine as well,I could never tire of seeing Churchil's art studio ( a little bit of studio envy for sure!) he found great solace in painting. The gardens/grounds are stunning too. I love that jock the marmalade cat is the feline guardian of the house.Dominic was a great camera man as well. Surosed that the makers of the art toolkit palettes and Peg & Awl havn't collaborated or thought about working together as the two items are so made for eachother, the sendak roll is made to house the art toolkit palettes I wonder if Peg & Awl were aware of this wghen they designed the sendak roll?.Great to see you painting en plein air as well. (matt) P.s can vouch for how yummy the cake is from the gardner's cottage at Chartwell is!
Thanks Matt. It's surprising how much you can fit in a mini Sendak! Chartwell is one of my favourite National Trust properties and it's quite close to us, so we've visited a few times. We always find something new to discover or explore each time! Peg & Awl + Art Toolkit are a match made in art heaven! And yes, that Victoria sponge cake was delicious! ;)
What a lovely video. You and Dominic are getting really good at making these little films. I've never been to Chartwell but definitely now need a trip to include it. I love this little Peg and Awl kit you've put together. Perfect. Thank you for sharing Natasha x
Hi Natasha, I loved this video, what a beautiful place you visited with Dominic. Winston Churchill’s art studio was amazing. Love your set up in the mini Sendak just perfect for days out so I get why you purchased that size. I use my large one to store my favourite items that I use a lot at home but I have taken it on holiday but paired down a bit as I have quite a lot of art materials in there. Loved how much you can get in the mini. Thankyou for sharing Natasha. Lots of love xxx 🥰
I wish I could share more of his studio! It's full of his paintings. They're not keen on you filming them (which I totally understand) so I just focused on the painting area and his art supplies. So glad that you're using and enjoying your Sendak! I'm going to film how I'm setting that one up permanently as a larger travel kit too. :) xxx
I adore the pace of this video Natasha! I hope to visit Chartwell - what a stunning place - Jock, and the old paints and that gorgeous English sky. I am so pleased to see your Mini Sendak traveling about, enjoyed. Than you for sharing!
Everything in this video is lovely💕 Your color palettes are always beautifully curated and pleasing to the eye. I love the black leather trim of the Sendak roll matching the sketchbook and palette. Visiting Churchill’s studio must have been amazing. You are so lucky to have it close to you. Have you read his book, Painting as a Pastime? It is a short and inspiring treatise that you can read over and over as inspiration. Thanks for sharing your trip (and art) with us😘
I didn't even think about the black leather matching the palette and sketchbook! That was purely coincidental - but I love it now you've brought it to my attention! I have Churchill's Painting as a Pastime book; Dominic bought it for me years ago. So good. :)
Hello Natasha! I was in complete awe with Winston Churchill's art studio. I hope to see it in person someday. Thank you for including it as it was very special to watch. ♥
I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. It's a fascinating place! They have so much of his art there too (but you're not really allowed to film that, and rightly so). :)
I love this little kit, I was thinking of putting a little kit together. When my son starts a 14-16 year olds course at college in September I’m going to go swimming and then to the library and go sketching while he’s there then pick him up. The swimming will be good non weight bearing exercise for my spine and then being out and about practicing drawing in my sketch book and learning from art books in the library. Something exciting, I managed to find a copy of Mary Fedden’s bird book. It’s smaller than I expected but full of lovely pictures xx
I love the Sendak and just got a mini for the exact same reason, because i can take forever deciding what to take with me. I wanted something minimalist. I shall also make a small sketch book for one of the back pockets. I love seeing your colour choices, especially as I'm a bright colours person, it helps me imagine more muted palettes.
I purchased my first Sendak back in March and I loved it. Saved up and just got another one. An investment but something I can use from now on! Don’t you love how they get softer with time ? love love…thank you for sharing this beautiful video.
I love pieces that are built to last and are made from quality materials - it's an antidote to the throwaway culture that seems to almost be the norm these days. I'm so glad that you love them too!
Lovely video! Thank you for sharing!! I have a couple of Sendak rolls, they’re excellent art tools. My large one keeps all my colored pencils from different brands and a couple of other art supplies. My mini Sendak setup is very similar to yours, I carry my gouache art tool kit palette, colored pencils, rosemary travel brushes, water brushes, sharpeners, erasers, a fountain pen, washcloth and a ruler. It’s really a versatile tool. I love carrying it everywhere with a sketchbook and a mini water container. ❤
@@txspacemom765 Hello, Dominic here👋😊 Churchill’s studio is a gorgeous space, and I love seeing his art setup, particularly his chair, the palette and the cigar cabinet with all of his paints! 🎨 My camera bag is the ‘Canon Shoulder Bag SB10’ in dark olive green. It is a few years old now, and I’m not sure if they still make it. It is an excellent bag with loads of useful pockets, and a vintage feel about. I would highly recommend it if you can track one down! All the best, Dominic
I love it all the items, the pretty colours they have chosen in their material at Sendak, your little drawing, the wonderful house and walled garden are just dreamy perfection but most of all the calmness and beauty of the way you make your videos Natasha! Thank you for a lovely zoom session yesterday. With a chronic illness I am quite isolated so the peaceful chatty drawing sessions really do mean a lot to me. Greetings from Germany!
I love my large Sendak roll as it also fits two small sketchbooks in the back. Good idea to set it up permanently - I keep taking things out it but I should just get duplicates 😊
It's great to have the extra space in the large one - I really love mine too! I recently ordered a small sketchbook that I hope will fit in one of the pockets.
I love seeing you out on location! It was interesting seeing Winston Churchill’s paint tubes all lined up. I’d love to store my paints like that although they’d take up quite a lot of space. I loved seeing your art roll too.💖
I’m so sorry to hear that someone would make such a snarky comment about your materials. I have two Sendak rolls and I don’t care what people think. They are just jealous. What makes you happy is all that is important.
Such an enjoyable video, happy my Peg and awl purchase inspired you. The Fog colour is so beautiful! :) The resident cat Jock is so cute. Enjoyed seeing you sketch outside and Dominic did excellent job with filming. Great idea of using mini pouch from arttoolkit palette for sharpening, was wondering what to do with that mini cute pouch.(I might give it a go as well. :) ) So inspiring to see how you arranged the roll. Thank you for another beautiful and calming video.
Jock was absolutely adorable and very interested in everything that was going on around him! I was going to use a plastic bag for the sharpenings, but I'm trying to cut back on my use of plastics, so I needed to find an alternative and this little pouch seemed perfect!
Great review of the Sendak mini. I love seeing your choices of materials and why. Chartwell looks so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. What fun to visit Winston Churchill’s art studio. I got a chuckle out of seeing all those tubes of paint. Apparently he suffered from the same affliction as the rest of us! Will Dominic be putting up some videos on his channel? Thanks again for another great video.
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Dominic is currently working behind-the-scenes on his channel. We don't have a launch date yet but it's coming (I can't wait!).
A lovely, relaxing video. I really enjoyed it. Would you please remind me the name of the little watercolor palette you have? I know it would be so useful to have.
Well dont i feel like a dumb nit wit! For all the history ive learned of Winston Churchill im just now learning of his artistic side? Guess i was too focused on other histories. I got the cigar and wiskey menu down to the last nub & sip though ✌️😋 ( thank you sharing the vistas proper....very relaxing! ) 🤘😔🎸
I have both a larger and mini Sendak…it’s always so interesting to see how everyone uses them, the supplies they pack etc. I’m curious…as you are leaving the mini ready to go, do you have some of the same supplies in your studio for use? (Mainly thinking about the pencils.)
I have some duplicates for the pencils I use most often (mainly the Payne's Greys!), but most of them I don't. If I need a particular colour that's in the Sendak while I'm in the studio, I'll just use that one and remember to put it back afterwards!
I love your content so I am giving this feedback as someone who truly enjoys your videos -the music was kind of odd for the type of video this is and distracted from the video. I would much prefer a chatty video, but if you don't want to do that, perhaps no music or something more neutral like a low-key classical piece or even nature sounds? I kept fast forwarding to get past the odd sound effects which is a shame since I really do look forward to your content.

Can you buy the poch by itself ? Or do you have to buy all of it in that box ?
