      I don't know if I would call it that tretinoin is always more and really powerful it can easily damage your eyelids oil gland apply it far away from the eye don't play with this my eyes are dry, cells have cell to cell interactions this is a marathon not a sprint kick the bad habits

    I don’t know if you’re open to product recommendations but one thing that really helped my skin since using retin-a is Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisturizing Lotion. I learned about it from penny smith here on RUclips she’s an esthetician and gives amazing advice on at home treatments and finding cheaper products for popular expensive skincare products. She always uses this, I guess urea is way better than hydrolonic acid, for me It's a DEEPLY hydrating waterweight toner. I absolutely love it and it gives my skin a glass skin look. So much better than the sticky Hada Labo lotions and some other Korean lotions. I use it in the day time and have noticed a huge improvement in the hydration of my skin even with using retin-a

    I started my Tretinoin journey a couple months ago (I’m 26 & my skin decided to go haywire with rosacea & acne out of nowhere & nothing else worked- I seriously tried everything OTC before I finally broke down & went to the Dermatologist!) & I’m just getting past the purging stage. I’m AMAZED at the changes I’m already seeing in my skin.. I should’ve started Tretinoin years ago simply for the fact that it helps so much with texture alone. Thank you for sharing your tips! I’m gonna hit the top of my lips with it tonight- that was something I’ve been curious about! I’m also gonna try microfiber cloths instead... regular towels have been like sandpaper on my face lately lmao. Thanks for linking everything & more than anything thank you for giving me hope and motivation to stay on track… you are absolutely beautiful!❤️

      Thanks so much, Nix - my skin also randomly decided to go haywire when I was 28 - so crazy, isn’t it? Ugh, whatever! So glad you are finding success with tretinoin - it is literally a game changer! Keep it up 💗

    • @SL-og7oz

      Update to anyone reading: I bought the microfiber towels she uses (linked in her bio). They are AWESOME! So gentle yet dries your face a million times quicker than a regular towel & they have a loop to hang them up which I take advantage of. I washed them in a delicates bag on the “hand wash” setting on my washer & let them air dry before using. 10/10

I am aiming for that pill, flake skin, my spots, sun spots, age spots went away in less than 2 months.. I probably do it all wrong from day one lol ,but the results is mind blowing.. i am 45 and 20 year old skin.. )))) I do not get red at all, just dry, and in 2 days my skin looks like i just had a chemical peel done. I thought thats the way )))) Oh well, i was wrong! BUT! The results ))))

    Just use a gentle hydrating cleanser like Cerave, a moisturiser and Tretinoin. And SPF during the day. Keep it basic. Use a paper towel to dry the face after cleansing instead of a cloth which can carry bacteria. None of the extra stuff she's doing, unless you want irritated skin. 😤

    I would just be careful. I used cold cream for years to take off my makeup. I would use it before I got into the shower. I would use a buff-puff to clean and exfoliate everyday in the shower. I started to have eye issues and my eye Dr said I had an oily film on my eyes. It was from the cold cream. I then started to get hyperpigmentation on my face from the buff puff. So, I would worry that that little silicon tool could do the same thing.

      Yes. You don't want peeling as this is an undesirable side effect, not a sign that the tret is working

      Hey Rakhi! I have used it on my stretch marks on my breasts from pregnancy and unfortunately haven’t seen any improvement :/ Something like a CO2 laser would be much more effective, although it’s expensive.

      Do you have stretch marks on your face?

      Yes, hydrating serums like hylaruonic acid is okay to use along with tretinoin, other example: niacinamide

    Will the flaking stop at a point?

    • @jennarubis1
      @jennarubis1  3 года назад +2

      It should, yes. But there are some people who experience flaking after years and years. If that is the case I would decrease the strength or how often it is applied.

      It just takes time. Start on a low strength and maybe try to apply moisturizer beforehand - wait for it to dry for 10 minutes and then do the tretinoin on top.

      @@jennarubis1 or try retin-a micro, it’s less irritating but gives you the same results(they actually say it’s stays in the skin longer as well) I’ve used tretinion/retin-a micro different for 15 years off and on.
