My mum insists on singing “Tamari, tamari, I love ya, tamari,” to the tune of “Tomorrow” from Annie. I always laugh and say it should be Dave’s song. 😆
I’m getting your book for my birthday in July. For Mother’s Day I got a huge bottle of tamari, organic maple syrup and spices. Thank you guys for all your help.
I've made these three times already. I just love how quickly and easy this recipe is. Love the format of your videos. Please don't make too many changes.
Hey guys! Thanks for the lovely recipes that you make. One question though, I've been looking at your counter in the back and noticed that you have loads of jars behind you😝, so what do you guys recommend for every vegan to always have / should have in their food pantry? Thanks!
I just made these quesadillas and they are sooo delish! It was my first time making a cashew based sauce and it will not be my last! Used some leftover wholemeal tortillas and then swapped over to corn tortillas and both taste so good with the filling and sauce. Thanks for another great recipe The Happy Pear! Love from Germany XO
Looks very tasty I’ll have to try it one day,if i I have time. as I have so many delicious looking Vegan recipe vids like this saved. But I have to say I think it’s far better to use a small amount of Oil than a Teflon coated pan any day. I stopped using Teflon Pots & Pans 30 years ago. Also is not only bad for our health, but is poisoning the Earth from the factories that make it, to the disposal of broken, burned pots etc!.
Maybe you guys can answer this... I struggle to find a frying pan that can cope with no-oil cooking. After a while they're destroyed.... any recommendations or tips?
I'm back!! Just a note to say I made this again tonight, but didn't have tomato so I replaced it w/frozen red and green capsicum, and I also spread onto the tortilla the cheese sauce, topped w/creamed corn, then put the bean + capsicum mixture on top of that. It was amazing. SO fast, and delish!!
Ah -- my week is complete. Have my new Happy Pear creation. You guys are the best. :-) Making this TONIGHT!! (I bet if you heated up the cheese sauce for a few minutes, it would get thick like cheese.)
@@Melissa.Garrett thank you, melissa for the suggestion I do love vegan cheese and may still purchase for a special occasion but I'm trying to move towards a more plant based diet.
When cooking without oil you can add little salt on onions it causes the onions to loose the water naturally while on pan which doesn't cause it sticking on the bottom of pan.
I really enjoy your recipes but would prefer a bit more editing / less of a one shot video. Might just be me but I feel a bit stressed when watching haha looks super tasty tho!
I believe that soy sauce, “salsa de soya” is a very common ingredient in Mexican cooking, but not sure about Tamari. I would imagine there is a gluten free portion of the population there too? Hm?
i love you guys. however, this is a very high fat dish. a source of healthy fat is raw fats, like avocados and coconut meat or properly soaked nuts. the plant based doctors have determined your fat percentage should be 15% or less of your overall daily calories OR less than 30g per day. preferably raw, uncooked fats, because when you add heat to food it bonds the chemistry and is harder for your body to process.
You lads are changing lives 💐 Thanks 😊
Thanks a mill :)

Recommend any oil free tortillas??
This looks like a great recipe . Why do you guys use no oil in this recipe ad, would it be ok to use a bit of oil for this recipe?
Yum!!!!!! But where is your nooch in the cheesy sauce?
Interesting recipe! Is it important to drain and rinse the cashews?

The book is only available on digital format for preorder in Mexico, will we be able to get a physical copy later?
Sure thing sorry will find out ASAP 👍🏼😄💚
Love that you used your own cheese :) Keep it up boys!
Thanks a mill it’s so tasty
Looks delicious but allergic to cashews - would almonds or sunflower kernels work instead??
use sunflower seeds, soften in boiling water about 15min ors or overnight soak
Macadamia nuts might work well :)
@@thehappypear thank you!! I love your videos keep up the great work dudes!!
Mama J I’ve made the Quesadillas from the boys’ last book using a bought vegan cheese (I used Violife). You could try that if you don’t mind the fat?
@@Melissa.Garrett thank you, melissa for the suggestion I do love vegan cheese and may still purchase for a special occasion but I'm trying to move towards a more plant based diet.
looks great this to be fair!!
Thanks Greyory :)
Do you have an alternative to the cashew nuts for people that are allergic to tree nuts?
You can make chickpea cheese!
This one's for tomorrow...need some koreandre...😊. Thanks guys!

“Thing is with using no oil is, things might start sticking to the bottom of the pan, depending on your level of.. non stickiness..” 😍 😂 🤦♂️
Infinite Optimal when dry frying no oil cook slowly, then add splashes of homemade stock, slower method but a different level of taste 😛
When cooking without oil you can add little salt on onions it causes the onions to loose the water naturally while on pan which doesn't cause it sticking on the bottom of pan.
Oil-free and vegan. Yeah!
Are the recipes in the book all oil free?
oh yummy

oofff that looks so good
Day 100 and i cant still tell them apart
FIRST!. now im hungry
Thanks a mill :)
Isn’t water on a hot pan like that a bad idea. I thought it would mess up your pan.
No works fine 👍🏼😄
The Happy Pear ow yeah I am also an identical twin. Neways I just heard it warps the pan so that’s good to know that is doesn’t.
heating telfon to high temps without oil emits toxic fumes!
would it perhaps be out of the question of not using tamari on absolutely everything? lol
Haha sometime we leave it out for cakes!!
Hey dudes, where’s the salsa?
I really enjoy your recipes but would prefer a bit more editing / less of a one shot video. Might just be me but I feel a bit stressed when watching haha looks super tasty tho!
Sure thing thanks for the feedback
Some of us are poor I guess we get to settle for RUclips
I believe that soy sauce, “salsa de soya” is a very common ingredient in Mexican cooking, but not sure about Tamari. I would imagine there is a gluten free portion of the population there too? Hm?
Organic cashews are extremely expensive here on Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada. I cannot buy them.
Lynda Kirkness try sunflower seeds
This seems like a taco to me... 🤔
They talked over each other. That’s not good at all. It’s makes it look like both men were trying to be the star of the RUclips cooking video.
