"Welcome to the machine" and "Shine on you crazy diamond" and "On the turning away" are all great Pink Floyd songs to react to - just to name a few!!

The four albums starting with Dark Side and ending with The Wall should all be listen to in order start to finish. All are different themes; Birth to death experience, climbing musics cooperate latter, social-political conditions, and a personal statement about how the "good life" lifestyle affects a band member.

Their other best one is this one, wish you were here! But I guess you've already heard three of these songs! The other two are great too though.
This album, and this song is mostly them reminiscing about their lost friend Syd, after having 'made it' with the Dark Side of the moon, feeling kind of melancholy, and hating the music producers who they felt made money doing nothing.

Good stuff friend. The ending of this song, going quiet and moving into mono sound to one side is how they roll in the next song. Loving your Pink Floyd journey!

You've already listened to most of WYWH, so I would recommend moving on to Animals. I highly recommend that you read about it first so you know the story, and also follow along with the lyrics while you listen. It is too complex to try to figure out on a first listen, even for a great Reactor such as yourself. Keep up the great work!

This song was dang by ROY HARPER!!! ROY influenced the whole British Rock and Roll invasion!!! Roy is the finest acoustic guitar player, lyricist and vocalist. I found Roy in 1985 with his album :WHATEVER HAPPENED TO JUGULA. EVERYONE WHO WAS FAMOUS IN BRITAIN IN THE 60'S AND 70'S WANTED TO DO AN ALBUM WITH ROY!!! HIS BIGGEST COLLABORATIVE INDIVIDUAL IS JIMMY PAGE AND DAVID GILMOUR FROM PINK FLOYD. PAUL MCCARTHY PLEAD WITH ROY TO DO AN ALBUM WITH HIM AND EVENTUALLY COLLABED IN 1978. LED ZEPPELIN"S BIGGEST INFLUENCE EASY WAS ROY
KATE BUSH, IAN ANDERSON........... . BILL BRUFORD ON DRUMS OCCASIONALLY....
LISTEN TO THE ALBUM LED ZEPPELIN 3. BUT BEYOND THAT LISTEN TO ALL OF ROYS 40 ALBUMS. TRUTH ALWAYS SITS JUST BELOW THE CREST OF A WAVE AND THATS ROY!!! A PROFIT, A TRUBADOR, A ONE MAN ROCK AND ROLL MAN!!!! ***** ROY HARPER***** THE MAN THAT INFLUENCED MODERN ROCK FUSED WITH CLASSICAL AND GALACTIC ENERGY!!!

Either The Wall or Animals for your next full album. I would find the 2 hours needed to read the book Animal Farm by George Orwell before listening to Animals as they are closely tied together and it will add insight. Plus then the pig mask in some of Ren's videos will make sense when you get around to his ART. The Wall is more of a rock opera and was made into a movie a few years after the album release, the movie is only 8 or 9 min longer than the album which is a must see. Both albums are designed to be experienced as a whole rather than in bits n pieces. Peace/JT

First off, huge Floyd fan for many, many years. Doing a remake of a song can be really tricky and trying to pull off an album like dark side, almost crazy. BUT, Easy Star All-Stars version, Dub Side of the Moon, is definitely worth of listen. Dark side reggae version.

If you're gonna do whole album reactions, I HIGHLY recommend 'Hemispheres' by RUSH. It's as much of a life changing experience as Dark Side of the Moon 👍

This song is about the music producers. Its supposed to be mocking them making money off Pink Floyd while not even knowing anything about the band (btw, which ones Pink?)

Great reaction, but nope, that's a false hope unfortunately. This is from the perspective of a greedy record producer. He's blowing smoke up their tail. Pretending he knows all about them and actually cares. "The band is just fantastic. That is really what I think. Oh, by the way, which one is Pink?" There is no Pink. He's knows nothing about them. Then "We're just knocked out. We heard about the sellout. You gotta get an album out. We're so happy we can `hardly count`.." Yeah, the money.

This track just destroyed your sound card.
I know something about it, it also destroyed my hifi system the first time I listened to it.
At least, that was the feeling I got at the end of this song.

The Wish You Were Here album that Have a Cigar is off of really should be listening from beginning to end. It deals with the bands longing for their former member /founder Sid Barrett .
Animals would be another that must be listened from beginning to end as it is a musical version of Animal Farm by George Orwell.
And of course the Wall which covers the story of Pink as he builds the wall The Shield the harsh realities of life.
    🤠🏞️🐂

This one you listened to is the first track of the B-side of the album WYWH that in '75 followed TDSOTM of '73.
They are number 4 and number 1 in "50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time" of Rolling Stones magazine:
Listen to that entire album: *_Wish You Were Here_* from start to finish and you'll also understand why this track fades into mono, with low and precarious volume and background noises:
    Side A: ruclips.net/video/TAUdfj_fWFs/видео.html
    Side B: ruclips.net/video/MFrn16sXCFE/видео.html
Keep discovering Pink Floyd, it will only do you good, but also learn, maybe first, to inform yourself on Wikipedia:
    *_Wish You Were Here_* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wish_You_Were_Here_(Pink_Floyd_album)
*_The Dark Side of the Moon_* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Side_of_the_Moon
This too can only do you well because showing of completely misunderstand something is never useful to anyone … although for some reactors on RUclips it even seems like a valuable feature 🙄
