Im using the Dumbo X6GFG remote with gyro, and the the Larger tires, which are a flat profile from my MJX 14209. I find 2S at 75% is the perfect power/speed for controlled dirt racing, when I want to do speed runs, I use a 3S with the gyro turned up a notch. The MJX Wheelie bar will match up and mount perfectly if you desire one. I like the look of the rear mounted tire, so that stays. It also looks Awesome woth the roof removed and some black refrigerator plastic tubing sliced open on one side to slide over the top of the cage when the roof is removed for some slide protection.
Haha, you're welcome. $13 down the drain. By the time I got done upgrading the wing, then got to these. I was very disappointed. Still an awesome rig. Thanks for watching.
Don’t get the aluminum arms front and rear. They are the same size. The am-d12 has different size front and rear. Correct on the tie rods, they don’t work as you said. They do need to sell stuff for the 1/12 and not say they fit 1/12 and 1/14. Otherwise I love my am-d12. Did add the rear red LEDs, now I can see the car both directions.
@hyperc5249 That maybe is true, but I have my concerns about longevity. I received one yesterday and all the control arms seem to be held on with the wrong diameter hardware. I say that because the control arms have a bunch of play, and It's almost like they assemble it with the wrong size hardware. I was also surprised to see such small nuts holding the wheels to the axles. I most likely will return it because the build quality and my concern of durability.
I can walk you through the process. I have multiple projects on my work bench right now. To make an entire video would set me even further behind. When you get the parts reach out to me and I will guide you through the process. Thanks for watching.
I have the D12 and the x12, some parts are interchangeable, i use the swing arms on my d12. so far so good. Need help sourcing parts for my D-12 Rlaarlo dosnt seem to have alltherpart for the D-12
The AM-D12 is a great buggy, love running mine. Didn't like the spare wheel perched high on the rear, totally unbalanced this rig. With some mods using the existing spare wheel mount assembly I fitted a WLtoys rear wing from the WLtoys 1/14 dessert buggy. Now in the proccess of fitting a wheelie bar on the AM-D12, Im going with the wheelie bar off of the MJX 1/16 16208/16209. The stock buggy on 3s wheelies like crazy & then gets out of shape, I found the truck far more stable at full throttle on 3s using smaller diameter monster truck wheels, that widens the truck a bit + more supple tires. Corners better without rolling as easy, can just pin the throttle now on 3s without the crazy wheelies which a find a bit boring when it constantly wheelies when you want to go fast.
I mounted a rear spoiler/wing on mine and I thought it was more unstable when I hammered down on 3s.. I prefer wheelies to spinning out and rolling over. However, I do have an extra set of MJX Hyper Go 14210 wheels I'm going to try. I bought my AM D12 while they were selling for $159 with $54 of free upgrades. I really dig this rig!😎
I bought one through rrlaloo about 2 weeks ago and received it within 3 days from Amazon. It looks like they are linked up somehow. I also recieved a uograded package a couple of days later with a fan and a couple of metal/aluminum parts
Truck is great on flat dirt but is no basher soon as I start doing jumps with it I break something every time. Doing jumps is what I do. Trucks not for me not tough enough. I sent it back. Got this truck to mess around with in my yard when I got home from work. I go out with my 6s armada on the weekends. I need a basher this truck is not. Going to try out the the mini kraton rlaarlo has if that doesn't work out for me. I will give up on rlaarlo and send it back. Check out another company. I want the MJX Hyper Go 14210 not available here and I don't want to wait till the next year to receive it from China and not having parts Quickly asse able. Hopefully the rlaarlo mini kraton will work out all the WL toys parts work on the rlaarlo considering the rlaarlo trucks are nothing but a WL toys truck with a few upgrades. You got to be close to 300$ with all those upgrades. Oh hell no.
Yeah checked out your videos on the MJX 14210. They seem like the toughest little trucks on the market at the moment.. Which l need. But like I said I don't want to have to go through China for the truck and parts.

Would love to see a Pic of that. Sounds cool
I love mine it’s just the right size where I take it out every time I take my RC’s out. The quality make it so much fun.
Agreed. This is one of my favorite bashers. Fast and durable.
So like sick rig man. Just wish those upgraded parts were as good as you were hoping
Bummer with the rods! Have them in my parts bin as well but haven’t tried them yet and now you’ve saved me the trouble I suppose 😅

Agreed. I don't put aluminum arms on my rigs. I want them to flex a little. Maybe the diff cases next.
You got 54mph with a 3s battery, a wing, and a motor fan.... Thats crazy.
Yeah, dude, this thing is fast!!!!!!!

sounds like you're RC was a used one mine are fitted clean and solid, it RIPS in sand/dirt/grass like no other 1/12 ❤

Can you make a vid on the wing and how you modified it? I’d like to do this

💯 I think the wing is a much better option. I will eventually swap the tires out. This rig is definitely worth the $183.

Nice. That's good. You got the upgrade package. This thing rips. One of my favorite rigs.
How did you mount the wing? I'm trying to figure out how to mount mine but can't figure it out.
You have to drill out the body mount bracket and use longer screws. Make sure you drill out the correct ones. Line up the wing mount to the rear.
do you know what size wheel adapter(extenders) fits it?
I believe it's 12mm.
How did you get the wing mounted? Can you give me any recommendations to install same one?
You will need longer screws. You have to drill out the 2 holes in the body mount for clearance from the front side.
@@hyperc5249 what is the screw length needed and what is the screw thread needed for the wing? Thanks
@@dustinavila7107 I believe the kit came with the wing screws. Then an M3 X 25 to go through the rear shock tower.
what are the switches on the controller do?
The instruction manual goes over them all.
What wing did you use? I looked up amoril on Amazon and i see wings for there 1/14 buggy is that the same one?
Yes. Same wing.
@@hyperc5249 awesome thank you!

Right on. This is a desert buggy, not a stunt truck. MJX is awesome. I have videos on those rigs to. Thanks for watching.

I own the MJX Hyper Go 14210 it's amazing! I bought mine without a box from Ali Express for $144 with shipping. It was worth the 3 week wait 😎
Absolutely worth the wait.

@@hyperc5249 I'm thinking about getting one.
