I've been playing with rc cars for over 20years and Like the stock diffs just for the fact that the plastic diffs don't have as much friction as the metal diffs because they will get worn out and cut grooves and wear the dog bone pins I have never had problems with the stock plastic diffs manly because I don't jump my cars thanks for your video 😮😅👍
I still have the stock diffs in my granite. I have bashed it pretty hard and jumped it. But I knew I was going to be rough on the Mojave and didn't want it to break during the review. They are easy to replace as well. Arrma groms are definitely awesome rigs.
If you find the diameter of your drive dog and get a bearing of the same size you can rip out the inner race and use it to prevent drive cup wear. Should be able to find a cheap bearing with the right diameter for cheap. Put a set screw in there and call it a day
I went with the 2845 motor.Iv broke to many motor shafts. And it runs so much cooler. I was able to fit a hobbywing 10bl120 under the hood.A bit big of an esc for the rig.but the heat stays at a great temp.
I had that Scopion setup for maybe a full hour before it nuked itself. I was running it on 2S, doing passes up and down the street. I wouldn't recommend it.
@@hyperc5249 I got Castle on all my speed run cars, so I’m very familiar with the app and the products, but this particular kit is very nice and complete. That makes it easier to install and finding parts, specially pinions. But if you want over 65mph Castle is the answer. 👍
Hi, in the position as you moved the receiver on the car, does the gyro work normally? I mounted it along the length of the car for fear that it won't work, thx
Be advised that Furitek is not sending the carbon fiber servo trays with the kit so it is useless for the Mohave Grom needs it to mount the servo. They are not even advertising the Grom Mojave so beware. They are now pushing this mod for the Losi NASCAR which doesn't use the tray.
I installed my scorpion last week, it's made the car exactly how it should be!
Epic👍👍

Nice video! Can’t wait to upgrade my Mojave Grom! It’s such a fun little basher.
@@QuinnsRC Yeah, it is definitely one of my favorite rigs. And now it's even better with these upgrades.
Awesome upgrades and a great video. Thanks for posting !
Thanks. I have more for the Typhon coming soon.
@@hyperc5249 Looking forward to your typhon grom upgrade video
Good stuff! I'm excited to see what Grom model is up next.
Same. I'm guessing Felony.
@@hyperc5249 I hope so. I’d love one of those!
Im hoping Kraton with oversized tires
Both my front and rear stock diffs went out 3 weeks into owning it :/ can’t wait to upgrade and get it running again
Yeah, the all metal diifs are awesome. But they are pricey. The V2 diffs are definitely better than the original all plastic diffs.

If you can fit it, rip it. These are awesome rigs.
@@hyperc5249 I totally agree iv had mine for a couple months now and still loving it
@silo1082 They are just a good size, arrma tough, and just plain fun.
The link labeled "Nexx Racing Grom Shocks" takes me to the same page as the link labeled "FlySky GT% with Gyro RX"
OK. Thanks.

Mine is still running just fine. It's not waterproof. I'm sure if it's a faulty unit, Furitek will warranty it.
Not bad at all, I went the Castle Creations route, cause I only do speed runs, but this system is nice 👍
Castle is hard to beat. I really like the Futitek Bluetooth app and tunability. These cars wake up with a brushless system.

Fun project.
Right. Super Grom.
Did you not run a servo saver on here?
No. But I did use the plastic servo horn. So if something breaks, it should be the arm and not the servo.
Did that upgrade cost could buy 2 Groms?
@@Harvz78 I already have all the Groms and the Losi Nascar. I like to upgrade my RCs. Especially to a brushless motor. It's not for everyone.
What did you do to run the 3S? Battery plug adapter or do you have a 3S battery with an EC/IC2 plug on it?
EC2 Gens Ace will work but I had to squeeze it in there.
Did you use the stock servo horn on the new servo?
I used the plastic servo horn that came with the servo.
Will this same setup drop into a Typhon Grom? 🤔
Yes, these will work in any grom and the Losi Nascar.
@@hyperc5249 I didn’t realize all the Grom platforms share mostly the same parts! Thank you for the response, love your channel!
@Peter-r1q5c Thanks. Yes motor, motor mount, esc, servo, servo mount are all the same.
@@hyperc5249 hell yea! I appreciate you and your wisdom 😎
What weight oil did you run in the shocks?
@jrmbtr They came prefilled. I'm gussingnit was 25 weight. I plan on going thicker in the rear.

Calibrate it and it should work just fine.
@@hyperc5249 thx, I calibrate at every start, but I didn't think it works from that position
@make4all2000 mine worked just fine. It might be a faulty one. Try turning it 180 I guess.
Will this setup work with the Typhon Grom?
Yes. All of these upgrades will work on the typhon.

@rudebuddha4895 You can get the tray from Arrma for $7. There are two kits, one with and one without. So this will work for any Grom.
@@hyperc5249 Thanks. I emailed Furitek and they are sending me one. They have been very quick to respond and supportive.👍
@@rudebuddha4895 Furitek has awesome customer service.
what servo horn did you use?
They plastic servo horn that comes with the servo. I believe they have a proper one coming out soon.
Aren’t the stock axles already metal?
The axles or dog bone are metal, but the stub axle and CVD are plastic. And the wheel hex is also platic.
Good stuff!
Thanks
