My gears in the diffs are really rough, especially the front. I thought something was broken so I pulled it apart to check it and added some grease but it didn't help anything. Contacting them to see what they say.

Nice video dude 👍🏼 thanks for the post. I've Just finished building the tarantula and put this brushless setup in it. I'm having the same problems with "brown-out". I thought it was the esc was on the blink. I did try toggling the switches with no luck, so I just parked it and haven't been back to it since. I'm very disappointed with this setup. I fitted the furitek in my trx-4m Landrover at the same time as I was building the tarantula and I'm really pleased with that setup, however, that came in at 3 times the cost. I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know if you find a fix for it, and thanks again for posting this video 👍🏼

Both my front and rear stock diffs went out 3 weeks into owning it :/ can’t wait to upgrade and get it running again

what servo horn did you use?

I have the H14bm,have 8 runs. On radar, 51mph! And the fine print on battery says lipo!!

What weight oil did you run in the shocks?

Will this setup work with the Typhon Grom?

I went with the 2845 motor.Iv broke to many motor shafts.And it runs so much cooler. I was able to fit a hobbywing 10bl120 under the hood.A bit big of an esc for the rig.but the heat stays at a great temp.

I've been playing with rc cars for over 20years and Like the stock diffs just for the fact that the plastic diffs don't have as much friction as the metal diffs because they will get worn out and cut grooves and wear the dog bone pins I have never had problems with the stock plastic diffs manly because I don't jump my cars thanks for your video 😮😅👍

Hi, in the position as you moved the receiver on the car, does the gyro work normally? I mounted it along the length of the car for fear that it won't work, thx

What did you do to run the 3S? Battery plug adapter or do you have a 3S battery with an EC/IC2 plug on it?

Good thing you did especially the links. The stockers are bend city. I went wrd kit bc of the tranny gears.

To not see sway bars hurts me so much on A master nice car like this.

Got one of these recently, its an upgraded v1, the servo doesn't center properly & the servo saver is way too soft for the stock wheels it's almost not drivable on 2s lipo. I do have the telescopic driveshafts on mine together with that 2s 3000 mah (I doubt it's 3000 mah & more like 2200 mah with how small the battery is.) Gonna tear it down & stretch the servo saver spring to see if it gets a bit more controllable before the servo upgrade comes in, running some larger but more balanced HBX 1:12th scale monster truck wheels like it's actually drivable on these. Motor barely got warm but it's so gutless it struggles to do a wheelie, might be a fault of the stock radio though. I might test how it behaves with the radio & receiver from my Traxxas stampede which is an old flysky gt2b.

Curious why you opted for the HW SE vs others motors? I was thing of getting the HW Pro

a $3 splitter will let you plug in a transponder, but yeah, its always nice to have an extra channel for anything (even lights)

You can absolutely charge those batteries with your normal charger without balancing them. The Ic2 connectors to make it work are a little pricey, but much easier than buying a new charger or using the kit charger. My plan is to use the kit charger to properly balance it after x amount of cycles. We have a full class of these at the local track already just running box stock rules.

I agree with the cons. But this is priced as a bottom feeder, but I love the look. My take is that when I take the grandkids out to the lot, this is a great cheap backup if something breaks on their favorite cars. I have 2 grandkids so I just may buy 2. Thanks for the fun review.
