    You're doing the best reviews out there. One of the thing that kept me from buying one of these is that I already have a bunch of modded wltoys.
    I noticed thanks to your in depth review that new upgrades for the 1/14th and 1/12th wltoys may actually be from their development on these or maybe they just threw everything at them idk, are they really that much more solid? A 1/12th brushed wltoys (with a 550 mount) is half the price of this, you may be getting what you paid for in upgrades but for me the 2847 motor in this is not enough for me, I might only buy a body kit from them if I trash one of mine.

      I think that the rlaarlo stuff is a little bit better than the WL toys but it's not by a huge amount.

      It can’t be any worse than any other Chinese brand. WLToys has a big part of the market and everything has to come from China. The worst parts are from EBay. NONE of the dealers claiming to have parts in your country actually do. They’re processing your order through China just like you can do on your own.

    • @DoRC

      @@DoRC Parts I’ve gotten through Amazon for Chinese vehicles get to me faster than if I ordered them on my own, but I’ve never gotten them that fast. It seems that anything I order from Amazon that doesn’t show up quickly is coming from out of the country. Danger, Will Robinson, Danger! Amazon considers parts from China to be third party items. If there is a problem, at least that’s how it was for me, Amazon leaves it for you to battle with the dealer to straighten things out!! They take a hands - off attitude and do NOT stick up for you or try to refund your money. I don’t know if this was an isolated incidence, but I was none too happy about it and try not to buy parts through them.

      You do need to be really careful with a power driver on screws this small though. I've was a mechanic for 20 years so I've got a pretty good hand for it but if you're not careful you can very easily strip them out.

      Thx for your. It will be my first RC I want to do it properly. Normally I will also get the upgraded parts so I’ll do all at once. After lots of reading I went for marine grease for the diff, you concur ?

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +1

      @thedoomslayer14 Marine grease is fine but as long as you're not going to be running it underwater any grease will work. Since electronics aren't waterproof anyway I doubt you'll be doing that.
      I'm not sure about the battery. The best thing to do would be just to get it and then figure out the mounting from there. It might just work under the stock strap but you might need to get a longer strap. I would recommend as I said in the video getting rid of that little nub that's in the battery compartment as it can rub on the battery and cause problems in the long run.
