I like it, not bad l fancy one of your t-shirts from your online store without your cannnel we hobbyists wouldn't no want to consider in our collection's nice review Tom. 👍
One of my favorite RLAARLO's to date. It is very fast and well built out of the box and shares alot of parts with the AMX-12. The front input gear tends to come loose on this model though
Yeah love this buggy, had the yellow one for about a month or so. I removed the spare wheel as I didnt want it constantly doing wheelies every time you excellerated. I fitted a rear wing instead from a WLtoys 124016 & a wheelie bar from the MJX 16208 MT.
I have bashed mine pretty hard and have not broken anything. I have 2 videos on my channel on the AM D-12 now. One with upgrades. Unfortunately, RLAARLO has dropped the ball again. A lot of their upgrades don't actually fit this rig. The are new but they need to get the business side working properly because the RTR side is awesome.
I’d rather rc car companies be honest about their claimed “out of the Box” speed than them making them too uncontrollably fast. Rlaarlo has been very accurate lately, and I do commend them for it!
I used to have a Losi LXT when I was a kid in the 90's. It had a very similar suspension. The swing arms would never break. The pins would come out if you wrecked it, or the camber links would come off of the ball joint. It was always such an easy fix.
Sick content mate, just watched the lunch box vid from two years ago! so good! I have three girls all love bashing the rc cars. Thanks for the entertaining vids.
Great video as always! I've had the desert buggy for a few weeks, and yes it's great, but it kills the rear diff quickly. Mine self destructed after 10 runs on 2s and then nearly one run on 3s. My brother bought one and exactly the same thing happened. The diff housings are weak plastic and can't handle the power they have to deal with. The four crown wheel screws wriggle loose, rip the threaded holes in the diff housing out, and then trepan their way out through the side of the gearbox casing. It would be worth stripping the diff from new and putting longer screws in the crown wheel to diff casing with loctite from new. Also, wheel nuts constantly come undone, so, more loctite. Infact, loctite everything! The diff issue is a shame because otherwise it's well engineered. Seems strange that rlaarlo would put such a weak link in the drive train. 🤷🏻♂️ Massive oversight if you ask me, gonna end up with alot of unhappy customers. Just my 2 pence, thanks.
Dang! I’m looking for an upgrade from the MJX Hyper go 1/16th because I’m tired of changing differentials. It’s literally THE hardest part to get to, and the only part that breaks. That is anti-engineering. I guess the search continues…
have had mine for a few weeks ripping everyday and no problem with the diff's, from new you should always check diff's for grease, mine had loads on diff grease in it amazing! she's the new family member in my house always running and blows my mind how well she stays right side up!
I can't wait for my Pirates V3 Buggy roller to come from Ali Express. I already got a Surpass 150A ESC that I've put a XT90 on and a Rocket RC 4068 2650kv motor for it and I'll pair it to my DumboRC DDF-350. The Arrma Typhon Roller alone is more than twice what I've paid for the whole kit
Yes they really do need to be fast That's what makes them fun. Make some jump higher farther everything. Did you ever get a RC car and it went slow and you're like that sucks. Then it sits in the corner. Then you get a real fast one and that's the one you play with all the time.😊
Tomley's daughter "Don't break my car"; Tomley : 3s speedrun, full throttle in water, big air in skatepark 🤣 Nicely done. The one with the goldish wheels looks classy 🤑 Thanks for the video 🤝
Hello,Tomley, one question, I would like to buy the DF Models Hothammer 5 (good, cheap RC car) next. And I wanted to ask you if you were interested in testing the car? Keep it up, I like your videos LG.😀
Can I ask a question? Could you do a video on keeping storing charging and maintaining batteries? I would really really appreciate it!! Content is fire 🔥 btw keep it up .
I'd definitely order some merch from your store @TomleyRC if the EFTA flat rate shipping didn't equal or exceed the cost of the product. Living in Iceland sure has it's disadvantages.
I think I might finally forsake my beloved 124016 for one of these. I've loved that thing, as I loved the 124018, for smaller spaces where a 1/10 might not be ideal but I've yet to see one bad review on this thing.
The remote strikes me as a cross between the older X6 transmitter and the newer more compact X6PM-350 which doesn't have the bulky stand on the bottom. If this is made by DumboRC indeed that probably would explain the good range, no?
I want to buy a buggy. I'm new to this hobby. And this will be my first model. I settled on Rlaarlo AM D-12 and ZD Racing DBX-10. They will cost me the same price. Please tell me, in your opinion, which one is better to buy? Of course both are Brushless
I would like to see more options to make them slower for younger drivers. Could I take a decent quality 1/16th truck and make it super slow with a tiny pinion gear?
Bought one for my 10 year old along with the 3s batteries and heatsink but after driving it on the regular battery I think my son might be ok with the 2s.
Another good video i just want to ask when companies send you rc,s to review are you honest in the videos if there bad or do you have to play it down so not to upset the companies that send you the stuff
IMO, there's a sweet spot for speed. I've found that around 30-40MPH, high 40s to 50 tops, is plenty for most uses and scales. Smaller stuff (minis and micros) can get away with being slower since faster speeds negate their ability to be run in tight spaces. When you start going faster than that, unless you have a purpose-built car things start getting squirrely. And no, that's not because I'm a bad driver, I actually used to race and did quite well at a club level. It's because the physics just get insane at that point. I'd rather have a car that tops out at 45mph where I can use the entire throttle band and can be slingshot around corners than something that tops out at 70mph but is constantly on a surgical scalpel's edge between stability and total loss of control. And if I did want to go stupidly fast, I'd get a 1/8th scale GP car for that.
So you maybe bought something o I don’t know a year maybe a two years ago and then suddenly there is a free car on your doorstep hhmmmm 🤔🤔am I missing something. You sir go right ahead never mind the background noise. Love what how and when you do it. Cheers Phil 🤘🤘🤘

I see nothing wrong with that speed as long as you can back it down some on the controller till the kiddo gets the hang of it. That's what I did with my grand daughters arrma. After a week she was bashing at full speed like a pro!
Correct me if I’m wrong but I could’ve swore a while back ago you posted saying you were doing another RUclips RC build like you did for Matts off-road. I’m curious on when that will be?
Had mine for awhile now, great little buggy that’s very wheelie happy but as of Sunday I’m missing rear wheel drive 😬 where’s that manual for the exploded diagram now 😂🤦🏻♂️
I've had mine about 2 weeks and the rear diff has completely destroyed itself. Watch out for loose screws holding in the crown (?) gear, they tear out of the plastic part and it's game over!

Great budget basher, extremely fast and stable. These “other brands” are definitely listening and producing decent RC’s. Good video!
Good test for the plastics for the pin to pop and no breaks is bloody brilliant.

The V2 WLtoys 124016 really would like your advice on some of them. Thank you.
11:25 That is also something that happens easily on the WL Toys. but not on the LC Racing chassis... I guess the plastic is softer/more flexible.
