Honestly, my favorite video of the situation so far. Those are my exact thoughts, word for word. He may not have broken the law, but morally, he is guilty of doing wrong doings. I have no idea why a person like him in his position, would not cheat on his loving wife who had his own child, but also entertain the idea of making and sending inappropriate messages to this person. They may have no been sexual, but it’s still fucked up even so that. If a coach or a teacher says some weird inappropriate jokes or sayings to his students, that adult wouldn’t be breaking the law, but it’s still morally weird and wrong.
This man literally is doing the Drake method “Yeah Kendrick, I made my team leak you info that I was a pedo so you look stupid in your raps haha gotchu” “Yeah internet, I definitely included “inappropriate” and edited “minor” in and out of my statement so that the journalist can think I look like a pedo, run with it and look stupid haha gotchu”
The accuser has the burden to prove evidence (Cody). This is what is happening. Doc will be in the process of suing twitch for the damages caused by Cody/twitch. And from this twitch will sue Cody into the ground. Cody severely fucked himself over here and I kinda feel for him. (He will never work in tech again) from the case we know that there was no illegal wrong doing or sexual misconduct, this was established already by law. Therefore Doc will, whether you like him or not I’m saying this sheerly from a legal POV, he will end up on top. Doc will not release messages, for two reasons in law it’s not on him to do so, it’s the accuser (Cody) and secondly because he will be 100% going through legal avenues to either sue Cody or twitch (who will then sue Cody)
All i can think of is, is that his lawyer probably told him to keep silent and don't say anything on social media. Cause he probably did say something that can be too easily misread or taken the wrong way, but not enough to convict him of any wrong doing.
I was about to forgive him if he was more humble and real about it. This is exactly same type of response Rekietalaw pulled when he was caught with guns and cocaine while his kids was around. He blamed everyone else, internet, government, his friends, no remorse just pissed he was caught.
Im looking at it from docs perspective. If he were to show these logs and everything was clean would people believe it? No i dont think so. There is a saying "you're damned if you do and you're damned if you dont" I think what doc is doing now is probably from his perspective the smartest thing to do.

I don’t buy any of it. Playing off editing his response and trying to act like it was some big brain play is crazy mental gymnastics. Plus the midnight society post still doesn’t add up. They were pretty clear, I won’t be watching until I see some messages. But I also know he won’t miss my viewership.
I agree with everything said, although about the chat logs i believe they will become public when this goes to court (unless its under closed doors) and im saying "when" instead of "if" because if in the law's point of views there was no foul play and then this debacle happens saying it did, its grounds for defamation, and doc said this in his stream "why cody? didn't you know the repercussions of spewing lies?" so this will definitely go to court.
He used a lot of legal vague language. Saying that the person was of legal age of consent means they were 16-17. Saying that what he did wasn’t the “legal definition of sexting” means he was probably borderline flirting with them, which is where the “inappropriate” tweet comes from. He was probably talking to some 16 year old girl telling her how cute he thinks she is, which isn’t illegal, but weird creep inappropriate behavior. I see a lot of comments trying to say that “inappropriate” could be edgy jokes, but I think thats a lot of reaching to come to that conclusion.
@@bryancollier704 I literally put the quotes there for you to see where it comes from. Comes from when he said he sent “inappropriate” messages to a minor and in his statement on stream, he kept making sure to repeat that what he was saying wasn’t the “legal definition of sexting”. It’s saying it without saying it. What he was saying was flirting, but couldn’t constitute as legally sexting because it wasn’t explicit enough.
from what i understand, there was no specific receipts. twitch staff took little messages here and there that were normal conversations and turned them into like he sounded like he was a predator
That’s a bit of a stretch dude. Like Ghost said, there’s gotta be some fire if there’s some smoke. There’s only so much selective editing can do. There had to be something somewhere in the messages that was off. Criminal? Apparently not. Weird and clearly inappropriate for a 40yo to say to a minor? Most likely yes.
@@GhostofEightactually he did in his video, he said he engages with his community, he engaged with other streamers and through twitch whispers he engaged with twitch users, conversations that consisted of a variety of playing games, gaming politics, content creation, random stuff and that was the extent of his whispers with this twitch user, everyone has missed that it seems 🤷🏻♂️
To the creator of this video, he didn't show any messages because of what the court decided back then. He is in an NDA of some sort, he says that in his recent live stream
Why does someone have to provide more evidence to prove their innocence than the accuser provided as an accusation? If you don’t believe Doc because he didn’t provide the messages, why would you believe the accuser who ALSO didn’t provide the messages?
I agree with some points Eight Thoughts. But, I know you have kept up with a lot of this... Here is the thing. Doc and Twitch went to court. Doc was paid out. After the case both parties admitted to no wrong doing. Hypothetically, even if Doc is 100% telling the truth. He legally can't show anything with those messages. Because then it would look like Twitch was the wrongful ones. Doc got paid out. And it's possible Doc's legal team wanted more money. And Twitch agreed to certain terms. Or Twitch themselves gave him more money to settle things. Either way, they signed papers. And he can't show anything. In hindsight, Doc perhaps should have agreed to better terms. Maybe he didn't think all this would happen. He wanted to get paid out. Both parties hands are tied. They can't release the messages. They went to court. It's done.
I'm not sure if he thought "age of consent in the jurisdiction they were in" was suppose to make him look better but I don't think it worked. Brother was 38 years old..... I'm sure Twitch just ban their biggest streamer with no second thought because a partner manager was mad. Makes perfect sense
Problem is due to legal reasons he can't just release the messages, it's not that easy. Even everything he said today was most likely vetted by a lawyer due to still existing legal parameters
The video that you showed us yesterday only showed me that he's bragging about how much money he has and that he's better than us. Which also means that he can get away with more stuff than your average person.
Weird how people still on the fence or saying he’s guilty when there was no law broken and everyone misses that he said she was not a minor, “over” the age of consent. Just breeze by that part cause it don’t get clicks. All a game on both sides
The chat logs already got sifted through by the appropriate channels, and nothing came of it. Inappropriate can mean a lot of things. To many bad takes from everyone. Those or private messages, and its none of our fuckin business. People wanting to read those are sick in the head.
Let's give him the benefit of the doubt, just for the sake of argument and say she was 18. He's still a 40 something manbaby messaging teenagers online whilst having a wife and kids at home. And he's already cheated on her.
He’s guilty of being someone who CLEARLY was the opposite of what Twitch wanted. The part about out of context “whispers” sent to someone on vacation stuck out the most. After Twitch even did their OWN investigation they deemed nothing wrong. He’s innocent of what he’s been accused of! PERIOD! His response is based on lawyer guidance not social media! Cody Conners would be sued next if he had Twitch money! Like a chick crying rape, ruining a man’s life, and allegations are false!
he can't sue him. Doc would have to prove evil intent also that was the reason for Doc's ban even if it wasn't true, so that guy technically didn't lie.
@@sredz8702 Evil intent? lol Lying is lying. Defamation is evil! It destroys lives and in this case a company (Midnite Society)! No truth was told! Doc won’t sue him because Conners is worth nothing! Conners life is worthless too lol

If it was inappropriate, Twitch would have banned him the first time. This should be end of story right there. Let me be clear I am not a fan of his, I dont care one way or the other.
It looks like almost nobody is actually paying any attention whatsoever to what Doc actually said. He specifically said that the “inappropriate” conversations involved “jokes”, and that the NCMEC didn’t bother conducting an official investigation because there was nothing PDF related in those messages. How hard is that to understand? When people hear the word minor they immediately lose their minds and assume it was something sexual. Im not even defending Doc. Im simply stating what he actually said which makes sense. If he made horrible, offensive (inappropriate) jokes in those messages, he would suffer yet another scandal possibly being called all kinds of things, depending on what those jokes were. Everyone is getting all hung up with the word “minor”. That has absolutely nothing to do with what Doc does not want the world to see (the jokes he made when chatting with the minor). I don’t really care that much what anyone thinks. You’re free to believe whatever you want, but at least pay attention to what was actually said. Jokes. Not anything else. So Doc must have made some really, really bad jokes he doesn’t want shown to anyone. Anyway, much love to anyone reading this and have a good one to you and yours ♥️
We heard him contradict himself many times that's all I heard was a liar trying to cover up the truth. If it wasn't that bad reveal the messages. If it is defamation make free millions in court. He won't do either cuz he knows how bad it is for him to reveal the truth. He's gonna keep hiding like the manipulator he is
When u think about it people that accused doc never showed any evidence they simply said he did it. The sucky thing about being accused is now everything falls on you to clear your self
5m 56s you covered the ex manager but not that they had snipped a couple of out of context comments from the twitch whispers. The manager then sent them with no context to someone senior who was on vacation, who had no access to review the messages. The team then banned dr disrespect. As such, no due process was followed. We know zero about those messages that can currently be trusted. I agree that something was said, he mentioned some banter and jokes. Weighing up everything we just don’t know what occurred. He will have the messages and I expect if pushed he will release them. For now he is holding them. To be clear if there is anything that has really happened that is inappropriate I’ll be the first to call him out. Right now the truth is we don’t know.
Does he even have access to the chat log? He's banned on the site. Can he even log into his account? I'm sure Twitch has the chat logs, why aren't they showing the log?
Not everyone measures the success of one’s life by the number of people that watch a “resolve the drama” fueled stream. It might be hard to believe, but some people actually put their phones down every now and then and live life. Not everyone is terminally online.
@@chasp9369 point taken but I think you’re missing a flaw in your logic. Doc is already set for money for life. He could retire to some Midwest flyover town and never have to work a day in his life again. He’s just adding to the pile at this point, right? I think it’s pretty clear there was some other motive here on his part and, if you look at the tenor of the live chat at the time, I don’t think he achieved it. Of course there were a fair number of “W doc. Proven innocent!” type of comments but there was also plenty if not the majority of people who seemed really dissatisfied with his piss poor explanation and deflection and immediately left once they realized he was just going to talk out his ass with no proof shown.
Talking privately with minors shouldn't be a habit now I think about it. Private/direct messages are like taking someone behind a close door to talk to them. My thought is why not say what you're ok with everyone hearing when talking to kids?
I agree he should show the messages however he would need consent from the other person and he really doesn’t owe that to anyone no matter the situation. I really wish he would but I’m convinced he’s waiting until he’s done suing those clowns first.
I like how when the entire Internet is against Doc he ends up defending him yet when people actually side with him and uses the exact excuses Ghost uses he turns on him I don’t feel comfortable taking a side at the moment as there are valid claims against both parties, but you gotta admit this guy is 100% rage baiting lol

Does anyone want to cancel them for being creeper-weirdos? Not really, not as long as they're not breaking the law. If he even has access to them anymore.
The thing I’ve been saying since the start is how has no “victim” come forward to at the very least clout chase. Even if they’re NDA’d people break those casually lately
There is no victim lol. There is zero evidence of a victim.
It Takes A Big Man To Admit When He's Wrong, Instead Of Doubling Down. I didn't want to say anything to you about it because I thought he was morally guilty.
This ia why I sub and am a member. Because you keeps it real....
Also.. 16k+ on this vid. Noice....
This man literally is doing the Drake method
“Yeah Kendrick, I made my team leak you info that I was a pedo so you look stupid in your raps haha gotchu”
“Yeah internet, I definitely included “inappropriate” and edited “minor” in and out of my statement so that the journalist can think I look like a pedo, run with it and look stupid haha gotchu”
All we can do is speculate on what was said in those chat logs. What could be inappropriate conversations is EXTREMELY vague
If someone has to use “Age of consent” as an age qualifier kinda says the quiet part out loud
If shes 14 im 14...😂
hes the one accused of talking to a minor, how does he defend himself without using the word people are accusing him of?
thats like if i called you a poopface. and you said no im not a poopface. then i said if someone has to use the word poopface to defend them is bad
In fairness there’s no way to defend your self from allegations of sexting a minor without mentioning AoC. Especially one has murky as this.
Dude literally didn't do anything wrong and was defending himself against the claims made. What are you even talking about
wow, i did not expect a sober and sane take searching for this
The accuser has the burden to prove evidence (Cody).
This is what is happening.
Doc will be in the process of suing twitch for the damages caused by Cody/twitch.
And from this twitch will sue Cody into the ground.
Cody severely fucked himself over here and I kinda feel for him. (He will never work in tech again)
from the case we know that there was no illegal wrong doing or sexual misconduct, this was established already by law.
Dude doc is literally the real life kenshiro from fist of the northstar he just doesn't miss

@@MrStopAsking he's mentally ill and dying of of 30 diseases seeing shadow people. Also, you're confused. I'm not Eight thoughts.
Im looking at it from docs perspective. If he were to show these logs and everything was clean would people believe it? No i dont think so. There is a saying "you're damned if you do and you're damned if you dont" I think what doc is doing now is probably from his perspective the smartest thing to do.
Lets see if he is gonna do some lawsuits now in the future
that excuse don't work buddy, why all of a sudden he is claiming that the messages were not inappropiate but not showing them? How convenient. He is gaslighting y'all
@@Yuuki_Asuna for what? to bring heat on the other party? he will do that if there is a lawsuit. also twitch has it then why didnt they release it? he was banned remember? how can he retrieve it. ffs commin sense
@@Yuuki_Asunawhen did you become a lawyer that advises clients?
@@eirik874 i would imagine doc had some lawyers reach out to the clown who started all this and have them cease and desist or else prior. if the guy flaps his gums again i would expect a lawsuit from doc. i know i would if i were in his shoes. i suspect the nda with twitch is what complicates what he can say still some. if he talks too much then he'll have to deal with bs from twitch potentially.
I don’t buy any of it. Playing off editing his response and trying to act like it was some big brain play is crazy mental gymnastics. Plus the midnight society post still doesn’t add up. They were pretty clear, I won’t be watching until I see some messages. But I also know he won’t miss my viewership.
when did he say he may have broken the law? what stream did you watch?
I agree with everything said, although about the chat logs i believe they will become public when this goes to court (unless its under closed doors) and im saying "when" instead of "if" because if in the law's point of views there was no foul play and then this debacle happens saying it did, its grounds for defamation, and doc said this in his stream "why cody? didn't you know the repercussions of spewing lies?" so this will definitely go to court.
Guilty, not guilty, guilty....make up your mind.
Alot of assumptions in there.
@@bryancollier704 it’s using basic common sense
@@QueLoKevin where did the flirting come from? That's an assumption. You have made assumptions.
@@QueLoKevin again, an assumption. The legal definition is static. May have been nothing of the sort. Are you unfamiliar with the word assumption.
5:08 the ragdoll 🤣🤣
from what i understand, there was no specific receipts. twitch staff took little messages here and there that were normal conversations and turned them into like he sounded like he was a predator
With this guy logic we should not donate to him either because he lives in the richest country of the world. What a logic
Cancel Cancel Culture
Problem is due to legal reasons he can't just release the messages, it's not that easy. Even everything he said today was most likely vetted by a lawyer due to still existing legal parameters
BLAME TRUTH IS STILL A SHILL
Why do people want receipts if he was not charged with any crime?
Eights video tomorrow “Not Guilty!”
We are so back. Welcome back to the 2x
At the end of the day he's got over 2.2 million views . Like and subscribe!!!
Another reason not to post the messages is possible litigation which I would assume he would go after. Releasing stuff would harm his case
Keepin it real 💯

I appreciate the honest feedback
Let's give him the benefit of the doubt, just for the sake of argument and say she was 18. He's still a 40 something manbaby messaging teenagers online whilst having a wife and kids at home. And he's already cheated on her.
A lot of his Audience are Kids. They want to interact with him even in private messaging. I wouldn't not give it to him
How old do you have to be to start an OF? Lmfao.
Everyone loves Mike Tyson now and then even after he spent time in prison after actually raping someone

Okay so to be fair he is banned on twitch, there would be no way for him to access the messages unless he saved them before his ban. Twitch would have to release the messages but they haven’t even made a public statement yet.
Not trying to defend doc, I still don’t fully believe him and I am neutral on this until we can see the messages.
So something got to give, the logs need to be release by twitch, so we can get the story completely straight
@@alejandrogonzales7168 Yeah exactly, I’m just saying immediately after saying he’s gonna give an adults prospective he shows he doesn’t really have a full understanding of the situation. He says it’s sus doc didn’t release the messages when it’s pretty obvious to anyone that he isn’t capable of that. Again though I don’t think he’s innocent, I’m assuming whatever is on those messages people won’t like. I’m not a fan of his, I’m just pointing out a stupid point that was made.
He went through a multi million dollar multi year lawsuit with Twitch.....His lawyers have the messages
@@Steve_R418 Potentially. But I also imagine in that case he wouldn’t be able to release the messages still. And even if he could I’m sure his lawyers would try to convince him not too. @@fernandodingler372 if I could play devils advocate, Doc could’ve gave an example of what he said to the minor to help clear air more, but he kept vague by just calling it banter. It feels like we’re one step forward two steps back with this controversy.
Bro if he did something wrong or illegal twitch wouldn't have had to pay him out. He'd be in jail. Pretty simple stuff.
In the real world you have to prove someone is guilty. As much as you say he needs to prove he's innocent, where is the receipts for guilty? Just a guy who got forced out of his position at twitch is the only proof of guilt? Wow
He's gonna keep hiding like the manipulator he is
Did you watch the whole thing? He said he can't show the receipts. Or he could be sued
Didn't he said the user we thought was a minor was not a minor. Literally said it in the stream.
Ok so you literally spoke the words I was feeling about the whole doc sit,
When u think about it people that accused doc never showed any evidence they simply said he did it. The sucky thing about being accused is now everything falls on you to clear your self
He actually said he told a joke and it was taken out of context.
Crazy how RUclips “journalists” crawl over each other like rats over any and every controversy

@@walterehmann8799 ever heard of money?
I don’t think Doc understands how big of a celebrity he really is and that’s why his decision-making isn’t up to par.
Doctor Cocaine
I agree he should show the messages however he would need consent from the other person and he really doesn’t owe that to anyone no matter the situation. I really wish he would but I’m convinced he’s waiting until he’s done suing those clowns first.
I like how when the entire Internet is against Doc he ends up defending him yet when people actually side with him and uses the exact excuses Ghost uses he turns on him
I don’t feel comfortable taking a side at the moment as there are valid claims against both parties, but you gotta admit this guy is 100% rage baiting lol
Confused why you guys expect people to be honest.
Glad to see it. I had his back the whole time. Takes a man to admit unlike NickMercs and them. Even if we still end up wrong. All about context and i stand with doc till otherwise ya know.
SkizzleAXE has good decent opinions but you already know that
He's not guilty at all. You are insane to think anything he said makes him guilty. He clearly explains himself.
So much fence sitting.
Enough of this duplicitousness. He is a sinner, no matter the charge in the court of public opinion. So are you all. Confess, repent and forgive or be damned!
This is a bit of a he said-she said gong show, and I understand why Doc is taking his approach. He's obviously not a saint but as long as he didn't break the law, who f'n cares. Leonardo Dicaprio and countless other creepy Hollywood celebs have a cutoff of like 23 when they're in their 50s in terms of who date and we've seen people in their 40s dating 19 year olds. Does anyone want to cancel them for being creeper-weirdos? Not really, not as long as they're not breaking the law. The question isn't whether Doc is an amazing person or not, the question is "should Doc be canceled because of what he did 7-8 years ago that was already settled and deemed legal". I vote no, let's move on and the people that hate Doc and think he's reprehensible can chose to simply not watch him.
He needs permission
