- This video shows the safest way to remove oxidation from clear coat or even single stage. Oxidation is a chemical process that causes vehicle paint to break down over time from exposure to heat and oxygen. It is essentially a form of corrosion in which paint loses its oil content, and as a result, dries out. This process is gradual, but the effects can be severe.

If you like the HOW TO videos....what more would you like to see.
Any "How To" videos concerning paint correction are always appreciated.
How do you know when the IPA has done its job video sir!
I know you love Gel Coat but a small boat every once and while would be cool. What coating company would be best? Yours? How many layers can be used if possible? How long would it be good for?
I need to do mine again.

I wished Gel was as easy as paint. Thanks
You must not like the Hercules if you’re using this one already or waiting for a good paint correction?
How to keep rotary polishers from skipping!!!
Have you tried Lukat Fix It?
Looks amazing Brian got a lovely shine to it nice colour motor as well to bring out the best of your work
At least the shop manager was eating weed NOT smoking weed.
Weeds, you dolt
😂😂👍🏻
😂
Eating and smoking works well...lol
Perfect timing, grwat video! My BC1 is on rhe way!!
Enjoy. I look forward to the feedback.
❤
I cringe everytime you use so much spray polish, oh my , lol
1 spray please!!!! For the love of GOD!
I do not use pad primers… the polish can handle it on its own… if enough is applied. What are you saving it for?! Lol
@@apexdetail85 haha not saving it! Just doing what’s recommended by Yvan and Nick! Less is sometimes more!
I appreciate you tho! You da man!!!! Right after Yvan, lol
@@Zcamm I appreciate you as well. Shine on!😁👍🏻
I'm interested. If this really works, it's like having a paint correction
would have been nice to list the products that you used and flashed in front of the camera
Can u plz tell what grit u use plz im Albanian
I see you used a polishing compound. Is there a reason why not use a rubbing compound instead?
Great work.. looks fab.. now need to apply that to my '94 MX6...but it has a 'aftermarket' clear coat on it. (ie..X-Coat Vancouver) I suppose this will work in my situation....!
Thanks for the video. I had some stubborn oxidation in the clear coat that I tried to polish out but it kept coming back. Used some 3000 grit trizac and that did the trick.
Very good, was looking for how this was done.
Is Lowe’s still selling the 24 volt batteries with free polisher. How much total cost? Thanks
were you using 2000 grit or 3000 grit for that wet sand?
Is that water or something else? It looks like something other than water! 😊
What kinda of soap are you using when sanding?
Where can I get the materials you use for clear coat cleaning or do sell materials?
Thanks
Dean

For oxidation, sometimes you start at 2000 grit, sometimes 3000 as in this case. How do you choose? Thanks for another nice tutorial.
Exactly , I’m just gonna hire a professional and not diy this along with running new electrical outlets when I’m no electrician lol
With the oxidation confined to the small area above the headlight and the headlight showing no damage from sun/uv rays makes me think a liquid of some sort damaged that area
A series on PPF starting with the easier stuff like pillars and head lights, also instrument clusters and touch screens.
Anything you want to share. You probably forgot more then I remember
You’re still not applying the DIY Gold Standard polish properly to your pad 🤦♀️. Spin the pad and as it slows do ONE spray. ruclips.net/user/shorts_sgTEXmjy5c?feature=share
I’ve not writting down since a while but I can tell you Brian I’m watching all your videos. I really like the fact that your using « cheap» tools to make thing possible. Yes it can take more time but you prove it can be done. Thanks for your videos ! I’ve learn a lot from you.
I appreciate that!
Great timing for this video. Thank you for the great example and readings
I’m excited to try the BC2
A video ive been hoping to see anywhere is more of an analysis of different rotary polishers. Unless the only difference between a cheap one and a name brand are parts quality and longevity. But all i can ever find in a search is comparisons of da vs rotary. Fwiw Im using a Bauer 7" rotary, and it works great aside from being a tank.
The Bauer...or even the Drill Master from HF works perfectly fine.
I always enjoy your sanding and polishing videos. I am totally borrowing the two blob technique on the applicator pad. The hood was super glossy when finished and I bet the gloss meter flirted with 100 after topping it. Thank you for an excellent video.
Would like to hear your opinions on different spray ceramics. I know you mentioned BC2 here. How does it compare to others like Griots 3in1 and TW Hybrid Cermaic spray? Great video!
I have 2. BC2 & BC3 here is the playlist for details.....ruclips.net/p/PLaKlp9sktcgE0GtZy3nR3oS903lNAKBZH
Did you wet sand the entire car?
Just affected area on hood.
I’ve seen majorly oxidized vehicles come back to life is there a point when it’s just not possible?
Yes...of oxidation reaches the color layer.
Hey B, I haven't seen you with the kobalt yet, you didn't do a review right? quick impressions? I've heard it lacks power or is that just the nature of a da? nvm! I see you just got it on a deal a few days ago!
Sir, you did the hole car using the hand sand pad? Or later used also any sanding machine?
Thanks a lot , great video again sir
My kind regards
Just the oxidized area on the hood.
@@apexdetail85 thanks sir
Nice!!
Another video for the how to library 👊🏼
More to come!
Nice
Amazing results brother. Awesome choice for protection.....b well good friend
Thanks 👍
That was awesome!! Very fun to watch 🤓👍🏻
Great video. Straight forward and to the point. Alway like “how to” videos
Awesome demonstration! Great video as always! I learn so much from your channel. Thank you 🙏
Nicely done demo, let the polisher spin along doing the work without extra pressure and then the polish will give the results of the two to improve that oxidation.
Another inspirational video for us still learning. Thanks Brian 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Absolutely LOVE the BC line of products !!!
Thanks! We do too!
I love the way you make this straight forward without 30 min of rambling on about the procedure and that you just cut to the chase. One question please: can you provide a link to the polisher and polish that you use in this video? Thanks for what you do for the detailing community!!Love your channel!
He already showed to get the polisher in this video: ruclips.net/video/8UfEqPBdDlY/видео.html
The Polisher is from Lowes. Its Kobalt brand and if you have a battery and charger then its a good buy for you
another great video will come handy for lots of people !! thank you !!
Great 👍🏻 video
Is it really necessary to sand it?
Absolutely… to keep temperatures down on an already stressed clear. Repeatedly running a polisher back and forth will spike temps exceeding 130 degrees
@@apexdetail85 never got a paint so hot while using the polisher
Under the watchful eye of the shop manager the job came out amazing!!
Sweet! Im going to put the pads away for couple days and go fishing....
Unfortunately the roof and hood of my truck is beyond repair, new paint time, thanks Brian 👍😁
That diy detail polish is expensive, but lasts.
6:39 that’s not rushing? Maybe I’m so used to using the same coatings I’ve gotten accustomed to the same speed.
You ever get any of those expensive waxes from PolishAngel you store at 45 degrees?
You familiar with that Color changing ppf?
I have some PA products to review.. stay tuned. We install cosmetic PPF here.👍🏻
Top with BC3?
No doubt.😁👍🏻
Excellent video and great demonstration Brian .
Looks great!! 👍 Bc 2 is a great product
You make it look too easy in 8 minutes.
