Well, when you expand to have many cities with not as many people living in them, you can get a nice look. Look up the apartment buildings empty in China. Some cities are overcrowded, for sure. But some apartments in some cities are undersold, and there’s no real buyers for them.

Hi there Alex The previous models have English option, but for those new generation models, you may need to wait for the OTA upgrade. You can choose to get more times of battery swap each month or get less battery swap each month but get the home charger. I am not sure how they mount the 5G SIM card. Chinesse cars have done a huge progress in last 10 years. 👍👍👍 This Nio looks like mix of Tesla S and Tesla 3, but it looks very well. And interior look better than that one in Tesla 3. I hope this EV will be also in European Union soon.
Looks awesome, the car absolutely excites me. It looks so fresh, so cool, while I'm usually a fan of Mercedes cars, they've become so boring and ugly in recent years. Regarding the trunk, I believe they will make a hatchback version in the future, to have a bigger trunk, sacrificing a bit of the space in the back row.

Yeah, if the USA allows China to distribute their EV's in America - it's over. NOBODY will be able to compete with their price point. More importantly, all Chinese EV brands and badges are well constructed, stylish, and dependable. So some heavy regulation or complete denial of imports could take effect. With our strained relationship with China these days - that would be an easy decision to stand behind. But it could be unstoppable. We shall see.
Do not let us jump into the same band wagon as the politicians. Top politicians uses open mail services etc to communicate and being wreckless. Actually if the infrastructure is mixed it is difficult for any to get the whole picture. That is the irony, it is your gov. wants backdoors. Now, probably NSA can access the whole stack due the control vendors of the supply chain. Your data is already out there even if you stop using Chinese consumer products.
Very nice car! I can't wait to see NIO cars in USA. 3 things I'd change on the ET7. 1. Change the steering wheel to a 3 spokes wheel. 2. Front seats to sporty seats, after all the EV cars have lots of power and they need sporty seats to keep the accupants in place. 3. I notice the rear seat trunk passthrough opens towards the trunk, which could be rendered unusable if there are stuff in the trunk blocking it. It should open as other cars inwards.
You should talk to NIO about getting the ET7 into the Diplomatic CORE. This car can easily replace Mercedes Benz as the DE-FACTO cars seen chauffeuring Diplomatic around.
This is an extremely interesting car. If it comes to the US it will absolutely dominate. It has the design, the tech, and if NIO brings their battery swap stations here, then it will completely get rid of the wait times for charging. This is a grand slam waiting to happen.
The back seat got a lot of tech. The rear seats gain air cushions and the massage, heating and cooling functions of the front. So make it foldable would probable risk of being wreckless.
Beautiful car. They should have created more boot space though. No one needs that much leg room. And I would prefer a hatchback opening of the boot. But that’s all the complaints I have ;-) The ET7 is too much for me. I hope they will launch the ET5 over here soon.
