In reality lots of people don’t want to give up their sports cars that go vroom vroom. I think its a lot better if everyone used an EV most of the time for most of their travelling. for a lot of Chinese OEMs they have a battle first in China to try to make low cost EV brand and Premium EV brand. trying to shake their image of low cost Chinese OEMs. Then they will turn their attention internationally I think. The new companies like Xpeng, NIO, Li Auto etc can start from clean image and will target foreign markets faster and harder.

@@ChinaDriven But of course!!!!! And we are not talking about the 5g that it has 🇨🇳 being this more advanced than that of 🇺🇸 , for an autopilot it is fundamental
Yeah it’s using Brembo brakes, but so does the P7 performance but this claims a stopping range 100-0kph in 33.5m The P7 is claimed like 35m+ As for top speed I don’t think that info is out yet. And I’m not sure of the 1/4 mile. 3.8s 0-62mph with 644hp & 850nm so should be fairly rapid. It’s got more power than a model Y performance, but i guess it might be a bit heavier as well.
NIO’s cars (ES6, EC6, ES8, ET7 & ET5) all come standard with brembo brakes. I assume that means calipers & NIO may manufacture their own brake pads? I know fro the NIO EP9 they made their brakes in-house.
I'm looking at getting the P7 Performance Wing Door... But kind of interested in this car. Would you recommend it over the P7 given that this costs something like 50k yuan more?
Remember if you get a NIO ET7 with 75kWh BaaS the starting price is 366,660RMB and a monthly BaaS charge of 980rmb (in Changsha). With the 75kWh BaaS you can flex up to 100kWh pack for a month or however long and pay more. then flex down again. If you buy 100kWh you cannot swap for lower 75kWh.
Also this is much more luxury feeling than the P7 performance. The P7 performance is a cool car and i enjoyed driving it. We recorded a video but our mic broke and we didn’t realise! So we’ll have to do it again sometime. Really looking for a wing edition to review.
@@ChinaDriven Wait, it's ~370,000? I thought it was 450k, still a thousand a month adds up, over ten years that'd be 120,000. Thing is I doubt I'd use the battery swapping that often, just once a year when driving from Guangdong to Sichuan with my wife for Chinese new year. But if this car is just 370,000 that's very tempting. Nio doesn't do different models like Xpeng then, with standard, long range and performance?
if you get the home charger you get like i think 4 swaps a month free. if you don’t get the home charger then you can swap 6 times a month for free. It’s about 5/6 years until it would be cheaper to buy the battery outright. obviously you need to factor in the possibility you almost solely use swap then you can minus home charging costs i guess.
75 &100 kWh at the moment. 150kwh coming later. and that 1000km is CTLC so more like 600-700km I’ve just gotten my ET7 actually. I’m getting my head around it and I’ll put out a few videos including an in-depth review soon!
