      good 1st look ! good title btw, totally agree and i wish i could get my hands on one. About the materials, do you think its easy to clean? especially the floor materials. Could you please let us know more about the practicality? door bin sizes, glovebox, overall storage, does it have a "frunk"?
      Also it would be really nice to know if they plan to ship it to the EU. If so...an updated price would be very welcomed :)
      Thanks m8

      @@Frosty3k there isn’t an abundance of interior storage and pockets. You have two in the console that are identical. A very small compartment under the Center console armrest. There is a fairly deep glove box. There is no frunk as far as I’m aware.

      TBH, BUZZ is not the right comparison but the ID4 or the Golf Sportsvan. From the short bonnet you would expect huge space in the inside for a third row, but there isn't.
      The Trunk is tiny. Somewhere the coud be space was completely wasted. The VW caddy or VW Touran is also only 4.6m has a longer bonnet and they have a third row. This is not a MPV but a taller Limousine with cool bus doors. Especially the cargo space, is a disappointment, that there aren't at least 2 small seats.

    toned down voice at the beginning tiny bit bother me until the doors opened in this car! nice touch!👍 Definitely a good MPV which has more utility. The large interior space allows for more movement or leg room if repurposing an EV as a room for anything like office/entertainment or even sleep?
    Speaking of sleep, I think the only negative for me is the automation of the seats and its added cost. I prefer manually moving the front seats including user removeable passenger seat completely.

    • @ChinaDriven
      @ChinaDriven  2 месяца назад

      the boot size figure is a little misleading. with kids in the back you could push the seats forwards more to gain more boot space but will still be less than 1100L
      this is a car really focused on enhancing what you do when you get to your destination. Family day camping has become super popular in China since Covid and has remained popular. This vehicle is aimed at that market

    The B pillar integrated into the doors is genius though and I like the concept. It’s almost like they started with a brilliant innovation, realised its possibilities and then ruined it by not knowing when to stop. 😊

      Auto doors are a pet peeve of mine. I've spoken about how you have to relearn how to open a door. You have to stand differently so you are not in the way of the sensors, but they still a bit slow.
      I think the servos and motors are a problem for the second or third owner lol
      As for only 5 seats, in China there are many 6 seat SUVs, and 6/7 seat MPVs. This forgoes a 6/7 seat layout in favour of something different. I like different, keeps things interesting!

    I think you mean the turning radius is 4.9m, not turning circle. As a comparison, that is exactly the same as the turning radius of my tiny 2012 Kia Picanto Mk2. That is bonkers. The standard LFP battery pack would be my choice. The chemistry is relatively safe, and is best (and safely) charged to 100%, whereas the NMC chemistry on the long range pack is the chemistry that can self ignite, and charging it beyond 80% isn't recommended (so its claimed capacity and range are instantly less). Moreover, LFP has a 'bounce back' charge. If you are in danger of running down to zero before you can reach a charger, pull over and switch it off for 30 minutes or so. When you switch it back on, the range will have gone up. That is due to balancing (the range of the battery pack is calculated based on the weakest cell. If you stop, the cells re-balance and bring the weakest cells up quite a way, by swapping power from the strongest cells. Do it before the range drops below 10% though.

I don't know if they ever are going to figure it out and survive. Chinese manufacturers bring 5 new models per year to production. Legacy makers bring one new car in 5 years.

    • @ChinaDriven
      @ChinaDriven  2 месяца назад +1

      The whole "China safety is poor or bad" is outdated. These vehicles are all developed with global sales in mind nowadays. So they are built to US and European safety standards. So even if the Chinese safety test is "easier" it doesn't matter becuase they aren't built to pass that test. They are built to pass ENCAP. And we can see the ENCAP ratings of Chinese EVs in Europe have a spectacular record.
      Tesla uses Chinese battery for their LFP packs in their European Model Ys...no one says anything about that. It's all a perception thing, based on history. Back in the day China could only really sell very cheap domestic products, because everyone wanted expensive foreign products. How do you make a car cheap or a TV? You use lower level of tech, so car safety was low because they weren't using the latest methods because it would make the products too expensive. Remember that if you take a car that got 5 stars in ENCAP 5 years ago, it probably wouldn't get 5 stars today, every year it moves on, and thats expensive for OEMs.
      Everyone applauds Volvo/polestar's safety and thats owned by Geely, and no one mentions concerns about Lotus safety even though again owned and developed by Geely. Or in London the black taxi cabs which are all owned, developed and produced by Geely.
