One of the early clever nods that Tyr was never really Tyr, but Odin in disguise. Because Odin is so desperate to know and understand everything, it must have been eating away at him in that moment to not out himself and attack Kratos for what he knew and saw within the Light.

I think that the light might be manipulating people into entering it by using their past and memory and maybe getting them trapped inside of it, just like we saw in 2018 God of war Helheim with Zeus. You might ask if thats so then why did Tyr and Artreus not hear voices from the Light? I could ask the same about Mimir in Hel.
thats actually a great theory! It could be that light of Alfeim can make a person trapped in time, as we saw in gow4, seconds for Kratos in the light was a long time for artreus. Maybe the deeper person goes in the light chasing something from their memory, the more trapped they become. So, if thats true, Kratos might have really thought he was about to see Faye, which the Light used to manipulate him, but he got saved by Artreus from getting forever trapped in the Light.
I like these theories. It recontextualises the Light as this primeval predatory source. Something that 'feeds' off its victims; to what end, we cannot say. It would help with the recontextualisation in this universe too that the Dark Elves weren't the bad guys, but instead victims that escaped their own personal hell -- something the Light Elves are still trapped in.
3:02 the English lyrics to the song are “grant him space. Broken is his spirit. Soon you’ll see he’ll trust in you.” But one thing that I noticed was that in the actual scene itself the song is cut before Faye can say the line “he’ll trust in you” leaving us at “soon you’ll see” which could be the developers trying to get us to theorize on what or who was actually singing? Idk just a thought could just be me over examining the scene.
Brilliant video, Kuba! I'm even more fascinated by the Light of Alfheim now and how you recontextualise it as this primeval and hidden, predatory force.
8:12 I remember commenting on another video regarding a theory I had very similar to what you just said. That in the bvery beginning of the 2018 game, the cremation process had Faye's ashes inhaled by Atreus and Kratos, so you have parts of her that are with them from now on. Or her ashes on them (the same way Kratos is white from the ashes of his previous family)
Maybe a reason why Atreus isn't able to hear Faye in Ragnarök anymore is that spreading her ashes in the end of God of War (2018) did something, we did see some kind of magic happening there.
Great job, man, as always! Well done. More and more you do this - more and more you have a whole system of ideas which makes sense. At some point we won't need smstudio at all 😅😂
8:13 i think a part of Faye soul may be in the Leviathan axe (based on an older theory), it sounds stupid for me to think "a part of her soul went inside Kratos and Atreus"
Towards the end of the video when u started showing clips of psp god of war I forgot which one it was I think it was chains of Olympus but the temple of Helios puzzle had me so mad as a kid
I still think an argument is to be made that the Odin we see in Ragnarok is still the fierce tyrant Mimir describes in 2018. Don't forget, Odin is written to be basically a medieval mob-boss; the 'Godfather' of Asgard. He is this vicious person, but because he is a master manipulator and holds an iron fist over his subjects that demands loyalty, he is able to portray this image of a gentler figure to Atreus (and also to Kratos at first when he initially shows up). But because people like Kratos can see right through him in a way that Atreus initially can't at first, he isn't able to manipulate the former as easily as he did Kratos' son. All of this is evident in the way he immediately sicks Thor on Kratos like an attack dog without even batting an eye. That IS menace and intimidation, but it's a lot more subtle than the stark brute force of a character like Thor. It's actually quite brilliant writing for a character like Odin, that makes him similar to Zeus but also quite different.
The next game should carry the return of Athena in the higher plane of existence who has corrupted the daughter of the God of War. Artreus must journey with his ageing father across the pantheons in hope of saving his estranged sister.
My Theory is : Inside the light just like the Chaos realm this is the oppsite realm where the True God or the Good God who want defeat the demiurge are trying to communicate with Kratos to bring him to their side. Thats why mostly Pure characters go into this light or are attracted by it like the giants, like Atreas and even kratos.
Maybe some parts of Faye soul is in the Axe. Even in the God of war 2018 after baldur fight kratos is tired and crawling to the house and then said "Faye" at the same time he called for the Axe to return to his hand. It was like kratos calling Faye and the Axe came back to him.
Kratos also talks about the light and he states that he was stuck but Atreus faced great odds to save him. So I presume that the light is what we call a fake paradise. Or maybe it functions like Valhalla, because Brok said once in GOW 2018 that the light is good, but it wasn't for Kratos, so could it be that the light coresponds to the souls of people, it was good with Brok because he was a good guy and it was bad (probably fatal) with Kratos because he is bad?
Another comment I think that the light of elfhiem is trying to swallow Kratos maybe it reacted like that because Kratos still has some power of hope left in him and it's attracted to the power of hope and not kratos or could it have some relation to kratos previous family for all we know calliope is also part god what if it was her trying to guide Kratos to the right path and helping better his relationship with her younger brother Or it could also have connection to Pandora because she was from Greece but she wasn't human god Titan or anything she was just a life what if it was her guiding Kratos? Yet at the same time most theories about a new addition to any franchise. Usually ends up being wrong. Hi Kuba 1.Calliope is a wife of Apollo in actual mythology 2.There is famous Greek story about Calisto and his father King lycaon (the first werewolf) 3. The famous story performed in theaters from Greek tragedy THE CURSE OF (HOUSE OF ATREUS ) in in GOW 2018 trailer Kratos said the boy has been cursed but they changed the story do you want to investigate house of ATREUS curse
The fact that freya told kratos not to enter the light of alfheim in God of War 2018 indicates that she might have known the addictive properties of light and so she was stopping him from entering it.
But someone of giant lineage would have to recite the words to put parts of themselves inside the Kratos & Atreus, the way Fenrirs soul was put in the knive.
Hi i have a question 🤔 When Greek gods were killed the world started to lead towards destruction. But when Norse gods were killed nothing happened why ?
Mortals go to the Light of Alfheim after they die as well. In GOW 18 When Kratos and Atreas meet Freya for the first time, Atreas tells her that his mother "is in the Light of Alfheim now". But this was before he knew that his mother was a Jotnar. He as well as Kratos believed her to be human. So if that's so, why would he assume she is in the Light? Just saying.
Surely anything still having to do with Midgard will be finished up in the Atreus games, there's no point in drawing back the world of the next saga just to tie up loose ends they didnt think to answer before when people just want to see the next part of Kratos' journey

I mean... she does? That's what memories are. There's a saying I don't exactly remember but I think it's something like, "A person dies twice. Once when their body dies, and a final time when the last memory of them fades away completely."
i think changing the director wasnt as beneficial as in the previous games in my opinion i think cory started this new vision and he shouldve finished his vision throught the entire saga
Kuba, I had a question for you a few months ago. "Do you think Kratos' Godly Powers are still inside the Blade of Olympus?" Please make a video about this. Frankly; I think the powers are still within the blade. In GOW 3, Kratos fell into the River Styx and lost his powers. But the Blade of Olympus falls in a different place. Not to the River Styx. Which means maybe they're inside the Blade. We need Kratos' Powers. He must be stronger and have different abilities. It's not just his weapon skills and brute strength. Because the Egyptian gods are so many and so powerful. Kratos cannot fight them with his brute strength. Maybe SMS will use this in the next game. Kratos will use the Blade and get his powers back in the next main GOW. What are you thinking?
Kratos got the powers from the blade in GOW 2, the game just didn't do a good job a showing it. I might make a short explaining why. Thanks for the question!
what if the person who blew the horn was the Kratos from the past from god of war 2? current kratos basically saved a dying kratos from Zues' betrayal. it was never revealed or brought up again, a loose end.
Hey kaptain have you ever thought of doing a god of war meme reaction video because I think you should do one Also please react to god of war 3 no damage from zesty hey I purchased your subscription now you have to do me that favor ok react to ExtremeGameplays god of war 3 no damage I know you'll like it I'm sure Also if you watched the part 2 of the grave digger did you like how I found apollo statue in ghost of sparta and in case you didn't watch there is a statue of Apollo in god of war ghost of Sparta nobody was able to find that out except me I guess
Yes I have thought about doing a meme reaction. Now about Zesty's video, at the moment I'm not reacting to other RUclipsrs' content because of how heated this debate is. I'm sure Zesty would be ok with it but I'm trying to make it a habit not to do that anymore. I'll make an exception for your part 2 because you're literally asking me to do it lol
@@KaptainKubaI am not asking you to react to it the way you think. It's just like when a child brings his drawing to his father or uncle to see their reaction. That's what I'm kinda trying to do. I get why you're not reacting to God of War 3 "No Damage" because it's not a Kaptain Kuba thing in your eyes. It's something far from your regular content. But I think you should have a third channel where you react to other people's theories, funny videos, and stuff like that. It could help. But then again, managing three different channels would be hard, to be honest. I just like how you react to things. It's just your head in the corner, laughing sometimes. It's because you say your opinions, give tips, and stuff that makes your reactions good. Fun fact: When you first reacted to my video and all my friends saw that your reaction had 1.5k views, they told me, "Kaptain stole your views," to which I replied, "He improved my video. He made my video reach more people, and more people found out about the difference between the grave diggers because of him. He also inspired me to make a part 2." And they couldn't counter that. By the way, I will say something that will trigger you: my most favorite God of War game is God of War: Ascension.
why do you all it 6 isnt it going to be 4 i mean when betrayal came out after GOW 2 was it called 3 before 3 came out or was chains of alympost and ghost of sparta called 4 and 5 like 2018 and ragnarok is being called 4 and 5

I mean... she does? That's what memories are. There's a saying I don't exactly remember but I think it's something like, "A person dies twice. Once when their body dies, and a final time when the last memory of them fades away completely."
I still think they should’ve done a trilogy to end the series.
Can kratos save athena by time travelling in god of war 2 ?
i think changing the director wasnt as beneficial as in the previous games in my opinion i think cory started this new vision and he shouldve finished his vision throught the entire saga
I think so too but I understand directing a game can take a huge toll on someone
@@KaptainKuba yeah but i cant help to think ragnarok had too many writters now i feel god of war is having too many directors lol
ThAnks
why did Ares body not disintegrate after he died like the other gods ??
People keep typing his name wrong. *Ares* is the god's name. Aries is a constellation.
Well he blew up like an attomic bomb lol
@@KaptainKuba but Ares body is in mount olympus in the ice (Tomb)
i just want old combat system and better camera angles back
Kaptain!!!❤🔥🔥
Kuba, I had a question for you a few months ago. "Do you think Kratos' Godly Powers are still inside the Blade of Olympus?"
Please make a video about this.
Make videos about Doom lore I love your theories about GOD OF WAR , but cover DOOM ETERNAL lore, theories
I'm currently in the process of learning Doom's lore. I love that series
@@KaptainKuba Make video on Kratos vs Doom Slayer 😁😁 I hope people enjoy
That be dope
what if the person who blew the horn was the Kratos from the past from god of war 2? current kratos basically saved a dying kratos from Zues' betrayal. it was never revealed or brought up again, a loose end.
Hey kaptain have you ever thought of doing a god of war meme reaction video because I think you should do one
Also please react to god of war 3 no damage from zesty hey I purchased your subscription now you have to do me that favor ok react to ExtremeGameplays god of war 3 no damage I know you'll like it I'm sure
Also if you watched the part 2 of the grave digger did you like how I found apollo statue in ghost of sparta and in case you didn't watch there is a statue of Apollo in god of war ghost of Sparta nobody was able to find that out except me I guess
By the way, I will say something that will trigger you: my most favorite God of War game is God of War: Ascension.
kaptain kuba try not to mention the higher existence
IMPOSSIBLE
this is my theory:Faye is in the light and she will some way come back in gow 6
It’s because Faye is in the Ax. No need for Alfheim light.
yah.......we need another DLC to explain this story..........God of War Ragnarok : The Light of Alfheim 😜
Odin was just baiting kratos. Time passes differently. Just didn't work
why do you all it 6 isnt it going to be 4 i mean when betrayal came out after GOW 2 was it called 3 before 3 came out or was chains of alympost and ghost of sparta called 4 and 5 like 2018 and ragnarok is being called 4 and 5
no one counts betrayal lol
🔥
Hit that 👍
thank you my good sir!
We still don't know why kratos's new wife died... Nobody's talking about it 😂
Faught thor, fled, got damaged from the fight, slowly died from the illness
@@memorializershighly doubtful...
if that happens after loki was born then if kratos knows that thor killed his wife ... There wouldn't be any we must be better for our children and peace with thor
He would have yelled i will have my revenge nonstop and run to Asgard for tearing Thor's chicks
Hmmm…
Athena
i hope the light of alfheim has something with gow 6 but tbh i hate alfheim
Why do you hate it? I think its super interesting realm
so... the light is God Alcohol??
lol pretty much
maybe the light is a evil ,,higher God,,!?!
Maybe but I couldn't say because Ive exceeded my amount of allowed mentions of Higher Plane of Existence lol
@@KaptainKuba 😅
I mean maybe a lovecraft God
Nah u trippin
Light visual was way better and beautiful in 2018 and in the ragnarok light visual is just boring
Literally no proof at all. Her soul is in the light lol definitely not in them
Gow6? There wasn't a gow5 yet... you have played this game how long and still dont understand how the games are labeled
God of War Ragnnarok is technically GOW 5. I refer to the next mainline game as Gow 6 because we don't know the name yet. I'm not the only one who does this, if you disagree just read every comment here. Aside from you no one has commented anything like it
All your theories were completely incorrect
bruh.. the norse saga is used up and done for. Odin and Thor are dead, Ragnarok has happened.
