The only issue with that is that the game already had to cover the whole of the events of Ragnarok as it was, along with developing the characters like Thor & Odin, and their whole family
@Mr. P.J As the other commenter mentioned they had many games to explore that mythology, whereas Norse has only had two. Plus the older games didn't explore them that much, the gods or heroes or monsters were usually just fights without so much explanation or development
What about Vidar, the Norse god of vengence? He is the god who is said to avenge his father, Odin. He is also said to be the second strongest Norse god after Thor. I would love for Vidar to be an imposing and constant presence in the next game, chasing kratos or perhaps even Atreus, since Atreus was the one who killed Odin.
SPOILER (to anyone who still didn't play the game but planning on it) Technically Sindri killed Odin, Atreus "only" trapped his soul. And even though the developers said that they finished with the Norse saga, that actually would be a good story. After Ragnarök, Vidar tries to hunt down and kill Atreus in an other realm (Chinese or Egyptian mythology perhaps), Kratos tries to find Atreus before that happens, and as they wreak havoc, the other gods are trying to stop them.
Vali is also the god of vengeance and he instead avenges Baldur's death (I can't remember all the details). He is a son of odin whereas vidar is a son of loki I believe. Usually the way this series deals with Loki's children (Jormungandr, Fenrir) is by having Loki giving something else a soul so maybe he gives Odin or someone else the soul of Vidar?
@F to have all those gods in one game to would've been to much. If they were to make this a trilogy then yeah. But all these gods weren't gonna fit in one game. There are like 6 games of the Greek saga
You know what I realized just now? Even though Forseti was the one who brought news of Heimdall's death, I still find it odd that we never seen him appear in the game, only mentioned by name and serves Odin, confined himself in his chambers when he learned Loki arrived, because of knowing Kratos for killing his father, Baldur? Maybe after finding out his death, fear gripped Forseti, and does THAT seem ALOT like Zeus after the death of his son, Ares? I'm hoping for some story content that could focus on Forseti and Thrud might show up with Mjolnir, and maybe a seed that could take the characters to Valhalla if it survived the destruction of Asgard.
Thrud survived ragnarok. Spoiler Alert for people but if you go to alfheim in a certain place you will see thrud pick up mjionir and fly after you beat the game
@@KaptainKuba and yeah Tyr too was killed by garm in myths but garm and fenrir are different in norse myths Here it is HROVITNIR/garm's body with fenrir's soul
@Aniruddh Naik If Fenrir had actually killed Odin, technically it would have satisfied the sequence of the death of Tyr by Garm in the mythos. Odin posed as Tyr for most of the game, so technically Fenrir (the body of Garm) would have killed that alias, even if real Tyr is still alive. They technically could’ve covered both of that within one confrontation along with Odin’s death by Fenrir. “2”alias deaths by the same individual who technically covers 2 aliases himself (Garm and Fenrir).
I can't imagine anybody knew Forsetti was Baldur's son. So imagine the emotional damage Freya and Kratos would feel if he just shook their hand and said.... "Nice to meet you both. Forsetti... *Shakes their hands* Baldurson."
I really love baldurs curse It’s like by removing all the pain and sorrow you then indirectly get rid of all the pleasure and happiness and all that is left after is anger Without pain and suffering you can’t have bliss and happiness and through freya and her attempt to save her son from death she took away what made life meaningful which explains baldurs personality and thoughts
He mentions that feasting, drinking and women had no effect on him. He was denied some of the greatest pleasures especially for a Norse God so ofc he's mad. It's not the absence of bad things that made him crazy, it's just a side effect that he can't do the things he loves like everyone else can.
Forseti, Vithar, Bragi, Ullr, Ithunn, Nanna, Gefjun, Njorth, Aegir, Ran, the Nine Waves, etc. Would have liked to see more characters out of that list, since we know they exist because some of those names were attached to items and collectibles in the game. I guess you can only do so much with two games, plus a lot of those gods were never as fleshed out compared to the well-known ones in the game. Thanks to the fragmentary nature of written sources on Norse mythology.
It literally makes zero sense for Kratos to kill/fight more gods than he did. GOW 2018 is literally Kratos trying to be better than he once was. But let’s just throw all that out because “We want more gods to kill waaaa”
Vitthar should be the next villain. The god of Vengeance? Destined to avenge his father’s death? Son of Odin? Yeah make him the villain for an Atreus DLC. No brainer.
Hodder & Bragi Along with Vali,Hermod and Vidar The others Childrens of Odin + The goddess Idunn,Nanna and Uller The Thor's stepson They have also already been mentioned and there is reference to them Just like Forseti himself son of Baldur and Nanna We already have many Gods from Asgard that could appear in the future of the next games Some as Enemies and Allies against Kratos wanting revenge for the destruction of Asgard and the death of the Gods We already have many possibilities that can be used We just have to wait... as well as Hela the Loki's daughter and Sigyn The other wife of Loki along with more Valkyries and the Heroes Siegfried/Sigurd and Beowulf 🤔😁👍 like and Bye!
Week ago I ask Santa Monica Studio through email if Forseti is son of Baldur just like he is in mythology or if they made some concept art of him if they had plans to show him in game, but if Forseti will have probably bigger role in future they probably won't even answer because of spoilers.
Man it would've been so cool if at least the other Norse mythological gods were boss battles that took place during the battle of Ragnarok, cause the final battle for me (I guess) is a big disappointment considering it should've been a huge battle with numerous armies engaging in one another but instead we got "The main characters and the army of Alfheim vs Thor, Odin and the Einherjar".
Because it's a game and not a movie you wanted a movie full of unimportant filler stuff. Look back at the old gow 3 with the war of titans vs gods we never saw them fighting right? Because it wasn't important it's a game
@@nnightkingj it was on PS3 so obviously we weren't gonna see that, but you still saw how the gods especially Poseidon was just way to powerful for them, you didn't see that shit in Ragnarok
@@nnightkingj pretty sure to there was a cutscene of the old titan/god war when they were all young, so what you just said was ignorance at its finest, don't speak on something you don't know about
@@marcoplaystation2314 ps3 was powerful enough to show fighting what logic is that it simply wasn't important to what the protagonists were doing and we saw posesidon because he was a literal boss battle from the protagonists pov
Forsetti’s mentions in the game make him seem like an overly dedicated detective so I doubt he will be a main bad guy but I do think he will make an appearance in the next game somehow. It would be cool to see him take on the trope of the “know it all detective” in this universe.
I could see Forseti going to say China or Egypt and being like "Yeah the Ghost of Sparta is trying to kill all the gods, I managed to escape his wrath in Scandanavia, we recommend you try and take him out before he hunts you down as well" out of spite for the murder of Father and All-Father. Making him appear in the start of GOW6 and being like "hehe your done for now". We also know that The Nordic gods are aware of the other gods in the world (like how Mimir recognises when Kratos refers to Zeus)
@KaptainKuba When Thor hits Jormi for a few seconds there is something "greenish" color on Jorm'head before he disappears, it looks like something repealed Thor's hammer. Pause at the moment Thor hits Jorm and watch that greenish color is similar to the shade of higher existence "tear" in Odin's cave. It could be someone from the future who had that access to the power of a higher realm that saved "Jormi" and pushed him back in time rather than killing him and Thor. Therefore changing destiny.
To add onto a small point, if you’re saying Forsetti’s capable of resurrecting (or let’s just say “bring back” to keep it less complicated ) Odin, wouldn’t you also think it’s possible for Thor to potentially make a return since so many people including myself want him back for more? Ryan Hurst did an amazing job in displaying GOW’s version of Thor and I wouldn’t mind the return/a small cameo from the big boi :) .
I don’t think they could resurrect both, that just feels too cheap and like they’re undoing the entire point of the Ragnarok game which is kinda why I don’t see them resurrecting Odin at all. But bringing back Thor instead of Odin I could see that, Thor was more likeable and not the main villain so resurrection feels less cheap. I’m just trying to think of an in game narrative reason to chose to resurrect Thor out of everyone else who has died and am blanking
@@thesilentsociety3252 no they weren't. In fact it was stated that Asgard currently had more gods than the vanir. There's alot of vanir gods alive but they were in hiding during the game as stated by Freya.
Vidar can definitely be the unofficial official military leader of an Asgardian remnant faction in the name of Odin, assuming that he has not been either destroyed in Ragnarok or has not grown comfortable with the Vanir after the destruction of Asgard
The only thing I know about Vidar in Norse Mythology is that is supposed to avenge Odin’s death by killing Fenrir during Ragnarok and he is one of the few Aesir gods that survived Ragnarok. They could definitely do DLC have Vidar "try" avenge Odin by "trying" to kill Kratos.
He is the Norse god of vengeance, he was also so powerful in Norse mythology that he was arguably stronger than even Odin although he was very inactive in his role as a gods given his role typically pertains to vengeance. He also killed Fenrir after Frenrir was wounded after killing Odin
Lets say the next game will take place in Egypt mythology, what Santa Monica could do is show Kratos leaving Midgard or the whole Norse place, and why while we're leaving, we encounter Forseti. It would be a nice way of showing how Kratos actually went to Egypt and to include this missing person.
Someone brought up that Forsetti could be what instigates the conflict between Kratos/Atreus and the gods in the new realm. Basically just show up and tell em “hey this Kratos guy has lived in two realms so far and manage to kill just about every god from both realms.. so heads up” out of spite for Kratos. That makes the most sense out of just about everything I’ve heard, instigating another conflict with a whole new set of gods will be tough
There is a potential of returning odin, forseti, ville and ve, and vidar (god of vengeance) and njord for possibly next god of war spinoff with loki which will have kratos but not as a primary protagonist, he would be secondary protagonist, this game's initial 4-5 hrs will serve as a bridge to move the plot from norse to Egypt The first major boss would be forseti for atreus and vidar for kratos Forseti will seek justice and vidar will seek vengeance Ville Ve would be awesome duo fight like magni and modi and hrist and mist And the first 5-6 hrs will have odin as the boss to end norse and to shift to Egypt The Secondary protagonist would be playable for the first 5-6 hrs with 1.5 hrs of it being atreus ,and other 13-14 hrs will have atreus sections only
It could’ve also added Idun (goddess of youth, with her golden apples of immortality) Bragi (god of poetry & song) and Nanna whos mentioned in the actual game once (goddess of joy and peace)
I think it would make more sense to have Forseti appear in an Atreus solo story, either as DLC or a small spinoff game. And he doesn't necessarily need to be a villain, he could either be an NPC or someone that gets in Atreus' way but not as the main antagonist. He may not even look like an old man, he could look just as youthful as Atreus or at least Heimdall.
The dilemma is that, while Kratos might not know anything of Forseti, others do. If they do continue, I imagine the conflict will be over Kratos's desire to become the God of Peace as envisioned in the last mural. But with so many characters with old grudges around him, it's unlikely the peace will remain. Honestly, I can imagine them making a game where the final boss is Freya. They spent a lot of time shipping the two of them in Ragnarok, and I can't imagine them doing that unless they intended for us to know what kind of fate the two had together.
I would like to have remake of Greek saga first rather than going to Egypt or continuing on the Norse. Cuz those games are bangers and still playable even today
This would be a good way to give the norse pantheon one last game. Your depiction of Forseti would make great villain. There are norse gods that should make an appearance or a larger appearance than they had, such as Ola; who could be some rogue deserter of the Asir when Odin was in charge and possible ally. Vidarr can be seen and "talked" to in gow ragnarok but doesn't really do anything so maybe he could bigger role in the next game; maybe Forseti would use Vidarr's title of "The God of Vengeance" against him and use him as a weapon against Kratos, Hodr might had been originally plotting to kill Balder before Kratos killed him first; so maybe he useful against Forseti, Hermodr and Njord. And at the end of the game Forseti could send some propaganda about Kratos to the Egyptian Gods which pisses them of and forces Kratos to go to Egypt in the next game to deal with the gods there.
i personally think that there might be a separate game for atreus and he might be a motivating villain at first but something else might take the spotlight, it would give reason for atreus and angroboda to use that time travel piece for talking with jormungandr as it could give them hints or other story relevant details
This is a bit of a divergence from this video's topic, but I've been curious about your thoughts, if you've considered it before, on how Santa Monica might handle the extensive syncretism in Egyptian religion? I ask because, at least on the surface, it seems far more overt than in Greek or Norse religions. Mimir did say that Egypt was a land of "many, _many_ gods," which is true, but many of these gods have historically been merged together. Not only were regional gods folded into major deities (such as Nemty and Mont, both falcon gods, being folded into Horus), but major deities were fused with each other surprisingly often, such as in the cases of Amun-Re (Amun + Re) and Re-Horakhty (Re + Horus), as well as the crocodile-headed Sobek being occasionally identified with Horus, among other instances. This is to make no mention of the identification of human pharaohs with Horus (and sometimes Set) in life and Osiris in death. Feels like an interesting way to explore new and unique ways the gods can interact with each other and mortals. I also want to take the opportunity to recommend Religion For Breakfast's Egyptian religion playlist, which is pretty informative, though looking into primary sources is also recommended whenever possible.
Just imagine the next villain is indeed forsetti but to fight him kratos needs the help of atreus. He finds him in egypt, helps him and all together they are fighting forsetti. But while kratos was in egypt he made someone mad there and so we have the next game ready 😅
I would love to see someone or something from kratos past to return. Either reminding kratos of his sins or letting atreus know how terrible his father really was. Specifically a greek God or goddess that we've either never seen or seen very little. Like what if Phobos (son of ares). Finally confronted kratos for not only killing his father but also killing their extended family. Also going along with the theme of "sons killing fathers". What if Phobos tried turning Atreus against Kratos.
I think we are most likely to see him revealed as the mastermind behind anti-Kratos/anti-Atreus troubles in another pantheon, Egypt probably being the next best locale for the GoW games. I can totally see him coming over and telling everyone how Kratos and Atreus slaughtered the Norse gods who opposed them, instilled an uprising, and found a way to escape even fate in the "pursuit of more power" or something Then, whaddya know, Atreus comes along to check out the lands of Egypt. Friends are made, shenanegans ensue, and Kratos finds out his son's in trouble. Buddy-cop-adventure, away!
I think remnant gods could appear in future games, but not explicitly in one pantheon. In Greek myth there is still Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite (assuming she survived the destruction of Olympus in GOW3), Dionysus and Hestia. There’s even heroes and minor gods and goddesses that never appeared in the greek games. Orthos is also an interesting monster (Cerberus’ sibling, a dog with two heads unlike three that Cerberus had). In Norse myth we have Hodr (Baldur’s blind twin), Vidar, Vali, Forsetti (Baldur’s son), Nana (Forsetti’s mom), Sigyn (Loki’s Aesir wife), and various others. We never even met Njord (one of the most important Vanir gods, assumed as dead). Hel (Loki’s daughter and ruler of Helheim also is a key figure to Norse myth). Both pantheons have plenty to offer, but just as Kratos become “Farbauti” in Norse myth, we could have Kratos and Atreus become other “gods” in other lands. What if Apollo is worshipped as a Mayan god of the sun? Or Atreus is worshipped as god of wolves in Japan? Or Kratos is worshipped/feared by Romans who spread the faith in Persian or Indian people/diplomats and adopted him as a symbol of godly strength? An Atreus lead game where you search for giants and eliminate Asgard remnants in Midgard, as well as any place or foreign pantheon they invaded would be cool. The mask could play a role too in Atreus’ new journey.
I have loved these videos but felt like there's no point anymore no one is looking deeper into the game it just came and went and they all brought up the same secrets and etc. This is probably the best place to part
I’d rather have forseti on the side if he does appear in a potential future Norse game. I feel like making another Norse game with a villain similar to Odin would just be redundant. I imagine that Freya doesn’t know about Forseti since she never mentions him, but maybe in the future she finds out they are related and tries to connect and form a relationship with him. And I would imagine Forseti being more avoidant towards her, partly because of the obvious tension between the Æsir and the Vanir after Ragnarök, but also maybe for another reason. That reason could be that he blames Freya for putting the spell on Baldur and making him go mad and be cruel towards Forseti, taking his anger out on him. I imagine Baldur was probably a shitty Dad because of what his own mother did to him. Also maybe to play into Forseti’s paranoia, he doesn’t want to get close to Freya because he thinks that if she grows to care about him too much, she’ll end up putting the same spell on him that she did on Baldur.
just imagine In the third game Forseti along with Sindri,Sinmara,Hermod,Vidar and Vali could be the next Villains Avenging the death of the Gods and the destruction of Asgard with a new Asgard building and they try to get revenge on Kratos and Atreus/Loki as well as Hela/Hell the Loki's daughter,Sigyn and the Loki/Atreus himself as a villain he is the final boss would be incredible to see and still bring the Dead Gods back Like an extra secret plan of Odin that maybe he could still be alive just like his Huggin raven Who Survived the final battle and this can be used in some way with the help of Forseti and also Thor could still be alive and bring back the Thor's sons and Baldur & Thor himself and they could also include the Norse heroes Siegfried/Sigurd and Beowulf They like Enemies for us to face and also the animals of Odin,Freyr and Thor That the wolves and the Horse from the all father Odin, the Boar of Freyr Gullinbursti and the Thor Goats did not appear as well like the good and peaceful Gods who were mentioned in 2018 but have not yet appeared such as: Bragi,Nana,Meili,Idunn,Hodr and Ullr and also explain who the mysterious wolf Hrodvitnir is the possible father of Skol and Hati and explain what's happened to him and where he is and it would also be amazing to fight Against the Kraken and explain what happened to the 3 dragons brothers What did we free and where are they Imagine all these characters/Gods,more stories of the giants who died for Thor but were not placed and told/used in the game,More Valkyries,Norse Heroes and Animals/Creatures appearing in the next game or in more dlcs would be incredible another game to close the Norse Saga and also an origin game Telling the stories and living them as they really happened Mainly showing Feye's story With the stories of Mimir/Freya and the Mural/Tales of the giants and seeing the news giants that were not placed and their stories were not told because in the original mythology some that were not placed and they were killed by Thor together It would be amazing to see the others Vanir and Aesir Gods and their War that These others Gods exist in this universe would be great I hope this happens in the future.. 🤔🥺😎👍🙏🙏 like and Bye!
I think it would be interesting to bring him on as a revenge sort of clone to young kratos. Especially knowing now that kratos is the new norse god of war. Would be like coming full circle with Zeus and Ares
From what I've heard, Kratos' Norse story is complete. I don't know why the studio rushed the story of Ragnarok because I really feel like they combined two games while removing content (a bit like we merge pirates of the caribbean 2 and 3 by removing pieces of the story). so frankly, if there is another game, I wonder what they have planned.
Damn you are the first person I’ve seen to have played ragnarok and say anything negative about the story. I do agree that it feels like they told the whole norse story and that perhaps it even feels a bit more like two games of story development. But rushed, no way, it just feels like the story was cut short artificially early. I guess we’ll have to wait and see until the next game comes out, it could be very obvious then that the story was far from done and all of that had to happen to set up the next/final norse game. If it’s not Norse set I’ll be a little upset they didn’t do a full trilogy
@@monhi64 in reality, I'm more disappointed that the story of 2018 and Ragnarok are an 80% complete story. Ragnarok is almost here, 60% of the impactful characters in Norse mythology are dead. no Heroes like we saw in Greece... just look at the final scene. there is Kratos, Atreus, the pig (sorry I can't write his name), 3-4 Valkyrie, Freya and her brother and the two elves. There are only ten important characters (yeah, there's ungurboda, the two wolves and Fen, that adds 4 characters). excuse me but there are really no people in this war. on top of that, the only Aesir gods we see are. Modi, Magni, Baldur, Heimdal, Thor, Odin (the ones we see fighting at least, otherwise there must be 2-3 more). I mean it's not much, especially compared to the original trilogy. just in the first two we see more. and yes I know, the Nordic passage is above all the redemption of Kratos. but when I see everything that could have been done...
There's the possibility of kratos to travel beyond the Norse realm since he has the flying boat which he received when rescuing Freyr perhaps in central America since there's mention of the southern lands since they find an artifact of Olmec or Mayan origin
Since the Norse saga was about self reflection, the next step would atonement. I believe he will eventually return to Greece to face the evils he left there and restore the realm, but another pantheon might get in his way.
I think Baldur is supposed to return after Ragnarok. Also I think Sindri could be an enemy, possibly allying with other gods in his own quest for vengeance. I totally forgot about this god, great vid!
I feel like Forsetti will appear in the next game as a side boss. He’d be a young adult trying to Hunt Down Kratos, Atreus and Freya for what happened to his dad, but learns about how the surviving Aesir turned against Odin because he threw their lives away and that Freya’s his grandmother.
@@quandaledingle9735maybe Vili or Ve? Odin's brothers from the original Norse myths. I don't remember them being mentioned in the game. They could maybe be hunting down Kratos and Pals as revenge for killing their brother
@@JimmyC1994 yeah, there’s a lot of unaddressed gods in the Norse world, it seems like they’re building up to have them come out in a future game maybe
I’ve been trying to say they still need to kill oden for a minute! They established earlier in the game that a god’s body dying without a soul in it will make it come back over and over. They established that with garm/fenrer. Plus as already pointed out if oden’s ravens were horcruxes he died without one or two horcruxes on him.
What if forsetti investigate Egypt and he founds atreus is kidnapped and he goes talking to kratos so they all (Mimir too) do a trip to Egypt and talks about all the things forsetti found in all the realms and maybe others mythologys❤
The conflict in GOW Ragnarok WAS more internal than external, with your deep dive analysis, I would presume you'd see that.. any more of an internal battle would make the whole game a fever dream
Forseti being the one son that survives would be interesting as Magni and Modi survive in the poems. We dont know what happens to Forseti, likely because he was the result of trade bringing concepts north and being adopted into culture. He is the god of reconciliation and justice (like tyr), but how that festers without odin and with Sif and Thrud wanting to work to create peace and Forseti possibly being around magni and modis age. Culled anger could lead to him leaving elsewhere and causing a ruckus. Or would tyr coming back around cause him to emulate tyr more.
I think the next game will be a mix between Norse and whatever next mythological land we go too. I don’t want another game that just skips to a new world with just background stories explaining how Kratos got there. Something that could be cool would be Kratos going up against a villain that he simply can’t defeat. And towards the end needs to flee to yet another land. The villain follows, Kratos is forced to go all out and kill again. And the gods of the new land witness kratos kill, and that scares them, setting up the new rivalry, as kratos killing causes the new gods to assume kratos is still the god of war that he used to be So like a 75% norse, 25% whatever
More than likely, the games will be based around Atreus now going to other pantheons looking for Giants, with bits and pieces of him returning to Midgard to visit Kratos. He’s a god of peace now, and I could see him becoming a sort of Obi-wan to him now when he’s needed
An "aftermath" DLC would be good for Kratos. As for the next main game, there are collectibles/clues in Ragnarok indicate Egypt being the next setting, maybe as part of Atreus/Loki's search for the "missing" jotun.
Concerns with the last part about resurecting odin is that athreus was one of the people who knew how to capture a soul and transfer it to a new body. But sindri smashed the shit out os the orb and thus his soul went away never to be retrieved again. We saw that brok was not complete because of the 4 parts of life his soul was missing so he could not fully bring him back. In the best case the same happens to odin but it would require his body to being him back as well. For me thus was the reason faye wanted to be burned, no physical manifestation being available as well as the soul gone so she could not be brought back to life. My guess is they destroyed his body by asgaard being destroyed by ragnarok. And thus no chance on odin being brought back as there is no carier voor the rest of the 3 parts of the life essence.
1:24 Another piece of dialogue that is not needed is when Kratos asks Sindri about Magni and Modi. Sindri starts talking about their family and just when he was about to mention the name of their sister Kratos said he wanted to know about their weapons
If they do make an additional Norse mythology game, most likely a side story much like CoO and GoS were, I'd personally would like it to where sindri is still vengeful against atreus even though it wasn't his fault, but then atreus finds a way to bring brok peace by finding his soul bit that was missing and reunite it with the rest so he can go to the afterlife by the end, and sindri forgives atreus
I genuinely thought Forseti was one of the Valkyrie. This makes so much sense. Yeah definitely if someone gets mentioned that much but not seen they have to be laying the seed. In modern writing, where sequels and hints to them are major parts of a story, its a main part in story writing
Forseti is an interesting God, but there are others Vidar, Hel.... The developers had a difficult task to put everything in one game, as you can see, it is not enough in Norse Mythology, there is still a lot of interesting stuff, especially in GOW 🌏.... I would in the next part he left Midgard and other worlds open like 🏡 Kratos some visit to Greece? some side mission .. a fight between Thor and Fey, Fey vs Kratos.. Playing as other Norse gods is not a bad idea, it's interesting to have playable companions semi open world is the ideal is just to use the potential of the PS5 to make a Gigantic game with multiple stories ... As for currently some DLC expansion .. Thor , Kratos, Vidar Loki hello saving the giants ?.. Freya and his allies against Other threats from Egypt ?.. That would be great..I just hope they don't change the appearance and characters from history, it has nothing to do with Equality anymore..Kratos as trangender 😂😂😂..Many good parts of GOW DLC can be done Fix loki's unfortunate story,Loki as it's so interesting, changing into 🐻, and 🐺 hi use the combat system as much as possible in battle .. That would be great .. Let's hope Santa Monica Studios Eric Wiliams and Cory Barlog come up with something .. It's a shame to rush such a big game. .But please, until the future from New Game ➕ ....we'll wait ..it's worth it ..
When you mentioned Odin telling Forseti the secret to bringing him back, the immediate thought was Forseti could use that as a tool to recruit Sindri to help him in whatever he plans. He tells Sindri that if they succeed, he knows the way to bring his brother back. It will either be a lie or the cost of bringing a lost soul back is immense and Sindri will discover that fact as the story reaches a climax. It could give Sindri the plot element to fully accept his brothers death, either through knowing his brother wouldn’t want to be brought back if it cost something immense or just coming to terms with the reality of his situation. He will be able to let go, forgive himself and move on.
@@ChargeQM he can try but its gonna be for nothing, brok died in a forging accident and sindri tried that and succeeded with only 3/4 of his soul parts, after odin kills brok is when mimir tells boy he simply doesn’t exist anymore
I find this an intriguing thought and that also begs the question of Odin's Raven's the destructible collectibles based off Huginn and Muninn. We are told Odin sees through these ravens or well communicates with them I guess. With the idea that Forseti being essentially the FBI to Odin used these destructable abstractions?
There was a rumor that the next God of War game would be one centered around Atreus and his journey to find all the remaining giants that's in the same size and scope of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. I could see that coming true and having Forseti (who is supposed to be the god of JUSTICE and reconciliation by the way) stand in his way, likely due to him realizing Atreus (and Kratos) killed his father Baludr, Heimdall (that was Kratos, but he'd probably think Atreus is guilty by association), and Odin and wanting his own form of justice against him.
Odin could change forms, he did it to look more vulnerable and less threatening, atreus looks at a painting one time in the story where he is depicted younger
there is a scene I think in Iron Wood when Atreus talks about the giants being gone "beyond the sea" or something like that. And it's doubtful the giants are anywhere in the the 9 realms. We know Atreus will be looking to find the giants in the next game, it has become his next goal. So we can expect that at least a great part of the next game action won't be in the 9 realms, and it will be somewhere "over the sea". which doesn't mean that surviving Aesir gods looking for revenge won't be involved.
What I hope they would do in the next game is Kratos would visit another mythology for whatever reason and Kratos is welcome there as they think he is tyr then forsetti comes out and exposes and manipulates all the gods into thinking Kratos is their enemy wether it be by telling them he killed and replaced tyr or showing them his past crimes in Greece so the whole game you are trying to escape this mythology or clear your name while forsetti and the gods from the other mythology hunt you down
I was thinking how cool it would be if the first appearance of Odin in this game was Forseti and/or Vidar, and if we had our first time meeting Odin only when Atreus went to Asgard. It would make the game cooler, i can imagine how cool it would be to see the confrontation between Forseti or Vidar and Kratos at the beginning of the game
I believe that the next norse game will be the Atreus spin off, like it takes place majority of the time in the norse realm but through Atreus's adventures finding more out about the Giants it moves to the next mythology (egypt) and the ending of the game makes Kratos have to go to Egypt
9:06 kinda makes sense to me since my theory is if they do get to egypt mythology / another pantheon they would secretly be working for forseti. and im curious is what if huggins is like a spy-drone for odin AND forseti?
It would be interesting if there were more Aesir gods that were missing like: Forseti Nana Idunn/Iduna Bragi Ullr Hodr Hermodr and the end Vali and Vidar + the Odin's brothers Vili & Vê and more Vanir gods like: Kvaesir Skirnir Mundilfari Vanlandi Odr Lytir Njord and Aegir and his wife Ran they are the Sea Gods of this mythology and the main leader of the Vanir Gods the end Mani and your sister Suna/Sun the gods of the sun and the moon along with Nott and his son Degr they are the gods of night and day finally there are the Valkyries, the goddess of the dead and some humans and Norse Heroes that would be amazing to see in this game such as: Hela/Hel the Loki's daughter Sinmara the Surtur's wife and she is a frost giant which was unfortunately cut from the game Sigyn the Loki's wife the Frigg's helpers who can be Valkyries in this universe as: Fulla Hlin Gefjon Var/Vor Sjofn Lofn Syn and Snotra and finally the Valkyrie Brynhildr one of the most beautiful and strongest Valkyries with a tragic and sad story along with her husband Siegfried/Sigurd and the others heroes like: Bewolf,Erik the Red,Frithiof,Hervor and Heidrek,Olaf the Saint/Olaf Tryggvesson,Nornagest,Volund the Smith and Harald Fairhair I hope that in the next story dlcs or in the next games they will be included like and Bye!
10 years later. Forsetti goes after Loki as he searches for the giants. How? Deception through other pantheon such as celtic and hindu not just Egyptian outright.
No cause Santa Monica studios said they are done with the norse Mythos and the next games gonna be a loki/Atreus spin-off Also they said in GOW 2018 that baulder couldn’t coom because of what Freyas did to him he couldn’t feel it
Man you should make a video explaining Odin’s brothers and what happened to them because they’re mentioned in the game briefly by Mimir but we don’t get much info from what I’ve gathered 🤔
If Forsetti does become the next antagonist, it might utilize the original God of War Ragnarok story that was scrapped. Despite the whole angle of vengeance being exhausted beyond measure at this point, these hypotheticals lead to interesting dialogue. Just a thought of how it could play out: Kratos would die by the hands of Forsetti (let’s not forget he’s also part Vanir, possibly with assistance from Sindri) and Atreus after 20 agonizing years manages to pull Kratos out of Hel. There are plenty of holes in this theory (Angrboda’s and the surviving cast’s role spanning the 2 decades, Atreus still too premature in tempering his anger, etc.) that makes the potential less plausible, but I’d like to hear everyone’s take/addition/removal from it
Forsetti was the son of Baldur.. It would have been very interesting to see Freya’s interaction with her grandson..
The only issue with that is that the game already had to cover the whole of the events of Ragnarok as it was, along with developing the characters like Thor & Odin, and their whole family
@@dantess2693 Yeah but we didn't see as many norse gods as the greek ones in the og games
@@justadude7598cuz we had like 6-7 greek games, whereas we had 2 norse games
@Mr. P.J As the other commenter mentioned they had many games to explore that mythology, whereas Norse has only had two.
Plus the older games didn't explore them that much, the gods or heroes or monsters were usually just fights without so much explanation or development
What if that was forsetti that blew that horn back in GOW 2018...
SPOILER (to anyone who still didn't play the game but planning on it)
Technically Sindri killed Odin, Atreus "only" trapped his soul.
Vidar does exist in God of War but only as an Armor set. Armor set of Vidar's Might, the armor that grants the most strength points in Ragnarok
@@ArmoredGyeah like heimdall was in 2018 gow as the shield slam thingy
Vali is also the god of vengeance and he instead avenges Baldur's death (I can't remember all the details). He is a son of odin whereas vidar is a son of loki I believe. Usually the way this series deals with Loki's children (Jormungandr, Fenrir) is by having Loki giving something else a soul so maybe he gives Odin or someone else the soul of Vidar?
Something to cause Atreus to go full rage and get so mad is probably if vidar killed Fenrir because he does that in Norse mythology
I think it's crazy how freya never talks about her grandson . Considering how much she loved her son she would acknowledge forseti
It was most likely She was never Aware.
@@astralchaos3441 or they just didn't add any other Asgardian gods other than the 4 we saw in Ragnarok lol.....
@F to have all those gods in one game to would've been to much. If they were to make this a trilogy then yeah. But all these gods weren't gonna fit in one game. There are like 6 games of the Greek saga
@YourWrld Forseti is literally mentioned in the game while Atreus is in Asgard
@@marcoplaystation2314 Honestly tho, they could've gotten rid of useless characters like Birgir to add two more Aesir gods as bosses

Here it is HROVITNIR/garm's body with fenrir's soul
@Aniruddh Naik If Fenrir had actually killed Odin, technically it would have satisfied the sequence of the death of Tyr by Garm in the mythos. Odin posed as Tyr for most of the game, so technically Fenrir (the body of Garm) would have killed that alias, even if real Tyr is still alive. They technically could’ve covered both of that within one confrontation along with Odin’s death by Fenrir. “2”alias deaths by the same individual who technically covers 2 aliases himself (Garm and Fenrir).

Without pain and suffering you can’t have bliss and happiness and through freya and her attempt to save her son from death she took away what made life meaningful which explains baldurs personality and thoughts
i took it as balder couldn't feel anything at all be it pleasurable or painful that's why he was batshit crazy

Forsetti’s mentions in the game make him seem like an overly dedicated detective so I doubt he will be a main bad guy but I do think he will make an appearance in the next game somehow. It would be cool to see him take on the trope of the “know it all detective” in this universe.
Maybe huginn saved forseti since huginn can teleport people throughout the realms EDIT: btw yessss finally he said my name at the end 😩
Honestly I think Sinmara has a good chance of being a villain
I thought about this, it would be neat.
Sinmara could be another Freya. Starts as antagonist and become ally.
"Forseti takes the charge of Hel."
Sounds more reasonable and doable.
It's awesome that you still find content in this game to talk about, Kuba! Love it!
You shifted from saying "Go forth in the name of ragnarok" to "Go forth in the name of olympus"😂

the lack of gods in this game is really suprising
Right, sure there was many enemies but the lack of Norse gods compared to Greeks is wild
Yeah like Sif and Thrud are the only goddesses in Asgard lmao
Most of them died during the Aesir & Vanir war
Well, to be fair how many games have the greek saga and the norse?
@@thesilentsociety3252 no they weren't. In fact it was stated that Asgard currently had more gods than the vanir. There's alot of vanir gods alive but they were in hiding during the game as stated by Freya.
Also, we never did get to see who blew the horn while Kratos was bringing Atreus to Freya.
the devs said that Ragnarok would be the last norse-themed Gow, right?
Pls do a theory about Vidar and why we didn't see him and maybe he could be one of the villains in the next game?
Vidar can definitely be the unofficial official military leader of an Asgardian remnant faction in the name of Odin, assuming that he has not been either destroyed in Ragnarok or has not grown comfortable with the Vanir after the destruction of Asgard
he probably got cut out of the game like odin 2 brothers.
@@LS-wy4bk oh yeah, Vili and Ve. They wasted those two as well as Forseti and Vidar
That makes the most sense out of just about everything I’ve heard, instigating another conflict with a whole new set of gods will be tough
that bit where Kuba tries to mimic kratos is just relatable and funny
There is a potential of returning odin, forseti, ville and ve, and vidar (god of vengeance) and njord for possibly next god of war spinoff with loki which will have kratos but not as a primary protagonist, he would be secondary protagonist, this game's initial 4-5 hrs will serve as a bridge to move the plot from norse to Egypt
The first major boss would be forseti for atreus and vidar for kratos
Forseti will seek justice and vidar will seek vengeance
Ville Ve would be awesome duo fight like magni and modi and hrist and mist
And the first 5-6 hrs will have odin as the boss to end norse and to shift to Egypt
The Secondary protagonist would be playable for the first 5-6 hrs with 1.5 hrs of it being atreus ,and other 13-14 hrs will have atreus sections only
Maybe Atreus (and Angroboda) will stay in Norse mythology and face him while Kratos, Freya and Mimir go to Egypt
Forsetti, Vidar and the god of the Seas was missing from God of War Ragnarok so we definitely need to see them
The god of the seas is Freya's father and he is dead apparently
It could’ve also added Idun (goddess of youth, with her golden apples of immortality) Bragi (god of poetry & song) and Nanna whos mentioned in the actual game once (goddess of joy and peace)
@@williac100 Ullr too and Forseti would still be incredible with Vidar,Hermodr and Vali Be the next villains
I doubt Freya is gonna be the final boss due to Valhalla as Kratos is joining her council
I would like to have remake of Greek saga first rather than going to Egypt or continuing on the Norse. Cuz those games are bangers and still playable even today
So why remake them if they are playable? Rather go forward than backwards.
@@bluetone-amv To make a perfect game even better. I want to replay those games with todays graphics

I hope the next gow game is about Egypt. When I heard that recently that Egypt was the og plan for gow4 I fell in LOVE with that idea.
Forsetti could be the future Atreus in disguise, planting the seeds of doubt.
Probably not because they’re all saying Kratos is going to Egypt but with news that tyr will be in the next game it doesn’t seem that far fetched.
If Forseti is in the next one, I have a great suggestion for who could voice and do motion capture: Bryan Cranston. What do you think?
I just want him to be any character 😂
We're not in danger odin, I am the danger. Atreus shows up and you think I won't have beef? No. I am the one who thinks it's a bunch of croc.
Why would the fans opinion hold any weight against what the creators and main writer have literally told us.....
Siegfried with the sword of Balmung, is my money
I can totally see him coming over and telling everyone how Kratos and Atreus slaughtered the Norse gods who opposed them, instilled an uprising, and found a way to escape even fate in the "pursuit of more power" or something
Then, whaddya know, Atreus comes along to check out the lands of Egypt. Friends are made, shenanegans ensue, and Kratos finds out his son's in trouble. Buddy-cop-adventure, away!
Didn’t they say ragnarok was the last game in the Nordic saga?
As far as Persia goes I don't think they would praise Kratos considering he killed their king in chains of Olympus lol
I have loved these videos but felt like there's no point anymore no one is looking deeper into the game it just came and went and they all brought up the same secrets and etc. This is probably the best place to part

Nanna is mentioned in the game?
Then.... 8:22
If I were drinking, I would have choked my self🤣
I like how Forsetti's name is a wordplay on Foresight and he investigates everything sure it isn't what foresight means but I like the implication.
This, all of this
just imagine In the third game Forseti along with Sindri,Sinmara,Hermod,Vidar and Vali could be the next Villains Avenging the death of the Gods and the destruction of Asgard with a new Asgard building and they try to get revenge on Kratos and Atreus/Loki as well as Hela/Hell the Loki's daughter,Sigyn and the Loki/Atreus himself as a villain he is the final boss
would be incredible to see and still bring the Dead Gods back Like an extra secret plan of Odin that maybe he could still be alive just like his Huggin raven Who Survived the final battle and this can be used in some way with the help of Forseti and also Thor could still be alive and bring back the Thor's sons and Baldur & Thor himself
and they could also include the Norse heroes Siegfried/Sigurd and Beowulf They like Enemies for us to face and also the animals of Odin,Freyr and Thor That the wolves and the Horse from the all father Odin, the Boar of Freyr Gullinbursti and the Thor Goats did not appear as well like the good and peaceful Gods who were mentioned in 2018 but have not yet appeared such as:
Bragi,Nana,Meili,Idunn,Hodr and Ullr
and also explain who the mysterious wolf Hrodvitnir is the possible father of Skol and Hati and explain what's happened to him and where he is and it would also be amazing to fight Against the Kraken and explain what happened to the 3 dragons brothers What did we free and where are they
Imagine all these characters/Gods,more stories of the giants who died for Thor but were not placed and told/used in the game,More Valkyries,Norse Heroes and Animals/Creatures appearing in the next game or in more dlcs would be incredible
another game to close the Norse Saga and also an origin game Telling the stories and living them as they really happened Mainly showing Feye's story With the stories of Mimir/Freya and the Mural/Tales of the giants and seeing the news giants that were not placed and their stories were not told because in the original mythology some that were not placed and they were killed by Thor together It would be amazing to see the others Vanir and Aesir Gods and their War that These others Gods exist in this universe would be great I hope this happens in the future.. 🤔🥺😎👍🙏🙏 like and Bye!
Asgard was destroyed by Ragnarok so Forseti shouldve died there.
Well they said it would be the end of the Norse saga so who knows
There's the possibility of kratos to travel beyond the Norse realm since he has the flying boat which he received when rescuing Freyr perhaps in central America since there's mention of the southern lands since they find an artifact of Olmec or Mayan origin
Since the Norse saga was about self reflection, the next step would atonement.
I believe he will eventually return to Greece to face the evils he left there and restore the realm, but another pantheon might get in his way.
Teoria interessante, Kuba!
But the question is who’d be the final boss?
@@quandaledingle9735maybe Vili or Ve? Odin's brothers from the original Norse myths. I don't remember them being mentioned in the game. They could maybe be hunting down Kratos and Pals as revenge for killing their brother
@@JimmyC1994 yeah, there’s a lot of unaddressed gods in the Norse world, it seems like they’re building up to have them come out in a future game maybe
Or what if Forseti was disguised as Odin the whole time & he died instead of Odin
That would be crazy as shit
I’ve been trying to say they still need to kill oden for a minute! They established earlier in the game that a god’s body dying without a soul in it will make it come back over and over. They established that with garm/fenrer. Plus as already pointed out if oden’s ravens were horcruxes he died without one or two horcruxes on him.
Imagine Forseti being the actual Odin and the Odin we killed being Odin's puppet
Tryr was the BIGGEST let down
Said no one
Clearly didn't play Valhalla
watching this guys GOW videos is such a joy
The other crow is dead killed by freya
What if forsetti investigate Egypt and he founds atreus is kidnapped and he goes talking to kratos so they all (Mimir too) do a trip to Egypt and talks about all the things forsetti found in all the realms and maybe others mythologys❤
Simple answer; no. They've made it very clear no more Norse mythology
The conflict in GOW Ragnarok WAS more internal than external, with your deep dive analysis, I would presume you'd see that.. any more of an internal battle would make the whole game a fever dream
Talking about Odin coming back, maybe he’ll take over Kratos’s body
And the gods of the new land witness kratos kill, and that scares them, setting up the new rivalry, as kratos killing causes the new gods to assume kratos is still the god of war that he used to be
So like a 75% norse, 25% whatever
I highly doubt this will happen as the norse saga has already been confirmed to have ended with ragnarök
You are all blind. It's clear as a blue sky that the villain of God of War 6 will be Ratatoskr...
Ironically you mentioned apollo because in norse myth hes the one who replaced helios as the god of the sun
1:24 Another piece of dialogue that is not needed is when Kratos asks Sindri about Magni and Modi. Sindri starts talking about their family and just when he was about to mention the name of their sister Kratos said he wanted to know about their weapons
No. They specifically said this would be a 2-game series.
He will be able to let go, forgive himself and move on.
sindri already knows brok is denied an afterlife, mimir even said “there’s nothing to bring back” to boy
@@SugarHillGoGetBackthat doesn't mean he wouldn't take a mad, desperate hope
What I hope they would do in the next game is Kratos would visit another mythology for whatever reason and Kratos is welcome there as they think he is tyr then forsetti comes out and exposes and manipulates all the gods into thinking Kratos is their enemy wether it be by telling them he killed and replaced tyr or showing them his past crimes in Greece so the whole game you are trying to escape this mythology or clear your name while forsetti and the gods from the other mythology hunt you down
This is a really cool theory!!
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
I was thinking how cool it would be if the first appearance of Odin in this game was Forseti and/or Vidar, and if we had our first time meeting Odin only when Atreus went to Asgard. It would make the game cooler, i can imagine how cool it would be to see the confrontation between Forseti or Vidar and Kratos at the beginning of the game
No, they made a great story already
I believe that the next norse game will be the Atreus spin off, like it takes place majority of the time in the norse realm but through Atreus's adventures finding more out about the Giants it moves to the next mythology (egypt) and the ending of the game makes Kratos have to go to Egypt
9:06 kinda makes sense to me since my theory is if they do get to egypt mythology / another pantheon they would secretly be working for forseti. and im curious is what if huggins is like a spy-drone for odin AND forseti?
It would be interesting if there were more Aesir gods that were missing like:
Forseti
Nana
Idunn/Iduna
Bragi
Ullr
Hodr
Hermodr
and the end Vali and Vidar + the Odin's brothers Vili & Vê
and more Vanir gods like:
Kvaesir
Skirnir
Mundilfari
Vanlandi
Odr
Lytir
Njord and Aegir and his wife Ran they are the Sea Gods of this mythology and the main leader of the Vanir Gods
the end Mani and your sister Suna/Sun the gods of the sun and the moon along with Nott and his son Degr they are the gods of night and day
finally there are the Valkyries, the goddess of the dead and some humans and Norse Heroes that would be amazing to see in this game such as:
Hela/Hel the Loki's daughter
Sinmara the Surtur's wife and she is a frost giant which was unfortunately cut from the game
Sigyn the Loki's wife
the Frigg's helpers who can be Valkyries in this universe as:
Fulla
Hlin
Gefjon
Var/Vor
Sjofn
Lofn
Syn and Snotra
and finally the Valkyrie Brynhildr one of the most beautiful and strongest Valkyries with a tragic and sad story along with her husband Siegfried/Sigurd and the others heroes like:
Bewolf,Erik the Red,Frithiof,Hervor and Heidrek,Olaf the Saint/Olaf Tryggvesson,Nornagest,Volund the Smith and Harald Fairhair
I hope that in the next story dlcs or in the next games they will be included like and Bye!
10 years later. Forsetti goes after Loki as he searches for the giants. How? Deception through other pantheon such as celtic and hindu not just Egyptian outright.
No cause Santa Monica studios said they are done with the norse Mythos and the next games gonna be a loki/Atreus spin-off
Also they said in GOW 2018 that baulder couldn’t coom because of what Freyas did to him he couldn’t feel it
The true question is WHO BLEW THE GOD DAMN HORN
Man you should make a video explaining Odin’s brothers and what happened to them because they’re mentioned in the game briefly by Mimir but we don’t get much info from what I’ve gathered 🤔
One of Odin's ravens survived makes sense if it goes to vidar explaining what happend!
