      Nice! It is definitely a good car if the previous owner took care of it with proper and timely maintenance and repairs in addition to your activeness in maintaining it. I have owned mine for 80k miles already with no major issues. I've basically only had to perform maintenance on the Q5. I will upload videos on my Q5 for as long as I have it, and as when the Q5 requires maintenance or repairs that I have not made a video on it yet. You can also reach out anytime as well if you have any further questions and I'll try my best to help 👍

    Is there another way to reset the service without using a computer or a laptop and do I have to buy a computer and laptop and do that every single time?

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  Год назад +1

      The oil service light can be reset through the MMI controls however the "Next inspection" service light will need to be reset using and computer communicator interface (VCDS, Carista, OBDeleven, or dealership/repair shop)

    Hello, I have never owned an Audi. I'm considering a 2010 Q5 with 125K-130K miles but I'm a little skeptical about it due to the bad ruputation Audi has regarding high maintenance costs. I do like the styling! Does it have a timing chain or a timing belt? I heard it cost like $5-$6K to replace it because they have to pull the engine out as it sits in the rear of the engine. What do you think in terms of maintenance costs? Is it worth gettting into a 14 year old Audi and is this a good year of Q5 to get or are there specific years of Q5 to avoid? Thank you, I would appreciate any input you can provide so I can make up my mind whether to jump aboard on the Audi band wagon. LoL

      Hi, yes euro cars are high maintenance and if you can afford one then it's ok to get into one. It has a timing chains. Yes, the timing chains are located in the rear of the engine. The timing chains usually aren't an issue but there are some out there who had an issue with the timing chains but there are usually noticeable symptoms to inform you that you are going to have a timing chain issue. I have not had any timing chain issues yet and I'm at 209k miles currently. Honestly maintenance cost hasn't been a much as people think. I have just being doing regular simple maintenance and it's been running good. Also do consider that I do most work myself. It is worth it if it was well taken care of by previous owners with proof. I would avoid the Q5 in that generation with the 2.0 turbo engine cause those all have timing chains issues. I would recommend an Audi to anyone as long as they have the finances to keep up with it.

      @@cjscarcollection18 Hi, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated! The one I am looking at I believe is a 3.2 liter Quattro V6 Q5 with approx 130k miles. When it says Quattro, that is ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE, right?? I think it's a 2011 or a 2010. I wanted a manual transmission but I believe they only released that version in Europe. The seller claims he has all service records. I don't know if I should pull the trigger on this... like I said, I am a little skeptical about the brand being high-cost-maintenance but I do like the cross-over styling of the Q5. Since you have lots of experience with Audis, what do you think is a good price with the specs I mentioned (above)??? I do want to leave room for any potential maintenance that could potentially happen. Thank you!

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  8 месяцев назад

      @mikecruz9226 Correct, Quattro means ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE. Correct, we do not have a manual transmission here on the states. Make sure he provides you with all of the service records and look through it to see what maintenance have been done. Also of course conduct your own thorough inspection when going to see the car. I understand. What is he asking?

    • @mikecruz9226
      @mikecruz9226 8 месяцев назад

      @@cjscarcollection18 They are asking approximately $11K. They claim they have all service records. The mileage scares me (@ 130K miles) but they say it is mostly highway mileage. It is 2010, Q5 3.2 liter Quattro V6. I think it is a Premium Plus trim. From your Audi experience, what price do you think is appropriate for that year and mileage?? Again, thank you for your feedback.

      @mikecruz9226 Honestly, I feel like that is too much. The car market is slowing down. Just an FYI, I bought mine back in 2018 at 105k miles for $8600.

      @@cjscarcollection18 thanks yes it has good records I did purchase it. Very happy so far, smooth driving car. Things I have questions on.
      -heat/ac dosent blow. Assuming it’s the motor I ordered one.
      - parking brake made a loud noise it’s showing parking brake malfunction light. Not sure of this issue? Backup camera dosent display because of this.
      -what is the best tuner/programmer or w.e to get for this car?
      -some slight clunk type clatter noise when turning, assuming it’s a ball joint or something?
      -the sun visor for the panoramic is missing the cloth. Must’ve been damaged and then someone fully tore off the fabric so I will need to replace that?….
      Any suggestions on this?

      @fastlanetechnologies2512 I'm glad you are liking it. These are great cars.
      Is no air blowing out of the vents at all?
      What kind of loud noise? Does it still work?
      Is yours a 3.2 V6 as well?
      Could be ball joints, control arms or tie rods.
      Yes it's common for those Sunroof fabric to come loose and for people to pull them out. It's a hassle to replace then as you will have to remove the whole headliner. Most people just tinit the Sunroof glass very dark.

      @@cjscarcollection18 I had the car off and I engaged the parking brake made a really loud whining noise for like five seconds. It’s still functions properly. It doesn’t make the noise but shows the parking brake malfunction and the reverse camera does not work.
      When it comes to the heat in AC, no, no air at all.
      That’s super helpful idea about tinting the panoramic
      It’s the 3. 2 V6 what do you recommend for a computer tool?
      I just bought new rotors and pads. They’re coming in a couple days is there any surprises doing that job?

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  6 месяцев назад +1

      @fastlanetechnologies2512 I see. I'm not quite sure. Maybe needs an adjustment, motor cleaning or if it's super low on pad life.
      Ok yea most likely blower motor. Check fuses and relays first?
      Yea, it's a pricey job if you were to get it replaced and they are prone to just break again.
      I highly recommend VCDS its a great tool. But OBD11 isn't bad either however I don't have experience with that one.
      No surprise. Pretty simple to do. Just that for the rears you'll have to either use a diagnostic tool like VCDS to reverse the parking brake motor or remove the motor to replace the brakes.
