Honestly Eli, I feel a way more confident doing my own oil change after watching this video fairly simple. Thanks for the content folks. Appreciate you.
Hey Eli, I’m buying a B8.5 S5 in the very NEAR future so these DIY’s help so much treating this Audi much different than my a4 in the past so we’ll need all your DIY’s and skills 😭
Thank You just did my first oil change on the Audi, I like the oil change package I will order in the near future as it’s the best setup for the price!
Thanks for posting this. Just FYI the B8-8.5 Cabriolet were built in Neckarsulm, Germany. Their belly pans are two piece, the front is aluminum (at least mine is). The fasteners are triple box 8M (12 point) and there are some stiffening braces under the engine and transmission that the fasteners screw into.
Hello Eli, enjoyed the oil change. How reliable Eli is the stage 2 APR B8.5 S4. I recently in the UK went to have work done on my car only to find the local APR distributor had had engine problems with 2 previous S4 which they were looking into the software.
You failed to mention that there is the reset of the dash information The first reset is the time and mileage which can be done with no special tools via the MMI. The service due notification requires a special instrument that plugs into the OBD Port
Hi guys, I'm watching all your great B8 stuff cause I might go for an S5. Seems there is no hole in the undertray to access the drain plug, right? So why not bore one and save the hassle for frequent oil changes? Keep the content comin 💪
9 months ago I did my first oil change and had to hack one of my triple square bolts. I bought new bolts at the dealership and reapplied them with never seize. Went to do my next oil change and now I have 4 bolts frozen. You really ought to sell non-triple square replacements.
That's waaaaay easier than I expected. How hard is it to change the lower oil pan? I bought one because mine is cracked but my Audi dealer is saying like $330?!🤔 It's more expensive than installing my clutch slave cylinder.. 😑
Hi guys, could somebody tell me, should I change the oil in transmission on Audi SQ5 3.0 TDI 2014, tachometer is at 171 000km. The officials said that I don’t have to do it. The oil is still original in the transmission.
Hey Eli, I’m about to do my first oil change on my Sq5. I have an extractor. Do you know if it will work since there’s no dipstick? Nevermind.. I found the extractor tub.
By any chance will fpc euro carry another brand for oil? I'm using the liquid moly now, and it seems to burn more than the previous synthetic brand oil
@@thenels0n7 ok. Just going by my experience. Plus my manual 2015 s5 is low miles. 36k. Bought it with a little over 27k miles. On my mmi, the oil level was full til I did the second oil about 6I miles later. I get higher mileage car will burn more.
you're looking at this costing roughly $120-$150 at a dealership for this. So you're saving an easy $50-70 plus with our lifetime guarantee you have free oil changes for the life of vehicle essentially.
@@DJAugAceP you just buy the oil and filter the first time. At every next oil change, you pay for new oil and filter, when you return your old oil and filter fcpeuro refunds your money.

It is never confidence inspiring for a shop selling parts to have a representative say the number of fasteners going back on a car is less than what the factory put in!!! Unless you know more than the manufacturer, it is best not to 2nd guess them nor take shortcuts!!!
SQ5 thangs ftw

Happy to help Chev, glad this video gave you a bit more confidence to tackle the job. Its really straight forward once you get into it!
I am glad to see videos on the B8.5!
Many more to come!
The more cars I see that require removed of the entire belly pan the more I appreciate the access panel to the drain bolt on the F30 335i.
We are so tired of removing belly pans... the access panels are nice on BMW's but can lead to their own messes at times as well! Lose Lose
Could always make your own if you really want one
Haha 💯

Great notes, thank you!
The amount of screws decreasing is so true 😂😂
They just..... disappear.
Nice video! Personally, I never pulled out any plastics nor messed up with any screws/washers, just extract the oil and forget about all the mess!
That is definitely a convenient and clean option Ignacio!
I agree. Extractor good. If he change oil every 5000 miles.

Hey Eli, just wondering what your thoughts are on doing the oil change with the oil hot or cold??
Good video!
Can you tell me the torque spec for the drain plug? Thanks
22 ft lbs ... better late than never.

Big sadness on the way
Can you do a DSG transmission fluid change🤷🏾♂️
My 2013 S5 Cabriolet has "triple square" bolts which as really tight. I ruined one - totally stripped. Do you have replacement bolts?
If my Pcv valve code is on my mmi what do I exactly need to purchase for my sq5 ?

Audi just quoted me $400 to do this. Amazing.
Now you have the know-how to DIY this and keep a good chunk of change!
Anyone Know the toque settings for the Triple Square Aluminum undertray bolts on the S5 Convertible? Thanks

has nothing to do with the oil you're using...has everything to do with the vw/audi engine that cant stop burning it

Weird seeing Eli at work.
😂
Love the video but my man's you look like you need a nap
Wait a second that’s ignition tube
Sure is! Eli works in our Marketing Department!
Do the filter first so all the old crappy oil drains into the pan
Under trays, who needs those, mine fell off due to a lack of speed and bolts
a skid plate can certainly come in handy if you've ever seen the video about our mk7 oil pan 😅
Just use a torque wrench on that damn plug and don't chance it.
Need to check the oil on the screen
Just go to an oil change place that vacuum sucks the oil out of the dipstick tube. Then you never have to unscrew the oil pan plug.
Can just hear him saying: 'I've replaced the wheels a few times and lost a few bolts. It's okay because there's still some holding them on'
