So freakin sad since I was 15 loved this guy I’m 70
Me too 1951 I came into the world 🌎….. keep the music ALIVE ❤
Tal and Jeff look particularly stylish there. I love seeing these two together. Jeff was a pretty snappy dresser. Tal's playing is so tasteful and mature. She's great.
I'm so thankful that Jeff Beck decided he wanted to play the guitar.
Rest in peace Jeff, you've earned your immortality.
He's dead
Safe. G9odnight

Jeff Beck and Croz in one week. Not enough tears,.......
....and Tal ( great talent , and his favourite)
They broke the mould after making Jeff, he found notes on his guitar that don’t exist on others
R.I.P. Jeff- one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
For sure 🌴🌴
for me Jeff was the greatest. & the last guitar hero. RIP
....the
Well, not really, but great nonetheless. Great is the enemy of the good.
We Will join him...
"The song never dies
Just the singer"

R.I.P.
Lizzie Ball - OMG!
Music's a poorer place without this genius.
A beautiful irish tune from the mind of Sean Ó Riada.
I was fortunate to have seen Mr. Hendrix live in the 60s, as well as Duane Allman---but I never saw a guitarist such as Jeff Beck.
SAME HERE.
Jeff Beck + Celtic Music, wow!
Jesus, I am really gonna miss Jeff.
Heart-breakingly wonderful. Bless you Jeff RIP.
Tà na deoraí ag teacht - the tears are coming ,so beautiful
RIP Jeff. Genius on women off ireland 🇮🇪 Mna na hEireann as anything he played will always be remembered .
I honestly think Jeff Beck is the best guitarist that ever lived
Not only was he a brilliant guitarist, he also knew what makes a song great. He didn't create music just to show off his incredible chops on guitar, he played great songs.
Indeed. Finesse, subtlety, taste.
Tunes.
I like Jeff beck
YES! And he was not so full of himself that he couldn't take a backseat to others. He was simply the BEST and appreciated the best in others. God, I miss him.
Tears in my ears. LOVE IT. Simply.
One of the all-time greats on guitar. Jeff Beck may be gone, but his music will live forever!!
I still can’t believe he’s gone.
Jeff Beck was the true wizard of the guitar!
Radio na Gaeltachta in Ireland just played this on this dark, windy morning. RIP Jeff from your friends in Ireland 🇮🇪
hello from an Irish woman in Christchurch NZ
@@mariahblythen2310 Hello Irish woman, from a wet ,cold, miserable windy Sunday Morning in Ireland..Slainte Eire.
I know we all have our time, but it's still hard to believe he's gone. Rest In Peace, Jeff Beck
Agreed. Thought he'd be around for a quite a while longer. In fact, somehow felt he'd always be here.
Well, maybe he will, through his recordings.
The best guitar player of his generation
I don't know why but I feel the loss of Mr Beck more than any other musician I grew up listening to. He had that quality that I just can't explain.
But we are lucky that we live in this time: We can see all the great, deceased artists again and again in videos. From the great guitarists of the past centuries we only have notation of pieces they composed: Fernando Sor, Mauro Giuliani, Matteo Carcassi, Ferdinando Carulli, Niccolo Paganini and many others.
Yep. R.I.P Jeff .... your music lives on
Jeff Beck is the only guitar player whose instrumental ballads I cannot get through without bawling my eyes out.
Goose bumps listening to this . RIP Jeff
I still can't believe that he's gone ....... Simply Irreplaceable !!!!
He has created something new out of something that was already brilliant.
Claro x lo brillante " debe ser nitido" pienso puede ser una obra maestra " the charly" que diseño"??? EL"??? Y my aumento ho yo" creo"???
Beautiful. Lizzie Ball's violin solo cut through to my very soul. Superb emotional playing. Thanks Lizzie.

She can play, yes she can.
She really killed it here for sure.....
Those smoky eyes Lizzie has certainly don't hurt either. Quite a voice she has as well. Very talented musician!
I like the way she looks at Jeff at the end of his solo.
The women certainly earned the title of "Women of New York" that night, along with the Fender King! Wonderful
One of my favorite songs by my favorite guitarist. Rest In Peace Jeff. You were loved.
I listen to this at least once a day! Beck is not only a master guitarist but also a master at finding talent, aka Tal Wikenfeld
She was known but vinnie colaiuta brought her to becks attention.
Yes 1,000 % and many more well deserved talent out there we will always miss you
Dit nummer kun je alleen mooi vinden.
It was actually Vinnie that introduced Tal to Jeff😂 just saying
Jeff Beck guitar genius but humble man never needed to hog the limelight true sign of a confident person at ease with their gift, this rendition of Women of Ireland is haunting, RIP Jeff from Ireland 🇮🇪
Damn, what a beautiful work of musical artistry. Mr. Jeff 'guitar deity' Beck one of our Planet's finest musicians. Ever!
As a woman of Ireland I appreciate this . May God hold you in the palms of his hand Jeff Beck
Still reeling after this loss, Jeff will remain forever unique and impossible to impersonate. His playing style was all his own, a real pioneer and ground breaker, nobody can use a trem like Jeff did. RIP Jeff, we will all miss you.
Still can’t believe he’s gone… RIP, Jeff Beck🎸💔
The most original and creative guitar player “ever”
Sorely missed…!!
Gotta heart full of soul for this guy. RIP.
Rest in peace my guitar hero and play with the angels ...many thanks for the great music !!
For a rock star to play this melody,
I am in awe of your choice.
He's a musician.
I’m not so sure Jeff has ever been a rock star… maybe with the Yardbirds. After that… it’s debatable.
@@johnbennett3714 To the general public that might be somewhat true. However one thing that became obvious in recent days is that he was a rock star of the 'rock stars', and to legions of other serious musicians and music lovers everywhere. Its been a long time since I've read so much admiration and praise from the musical 'elite'.

Love that wee smile on Jeff's face at the end. He was a GrandMaster of Taste. He turned
"guitar tricks" and practice into his signature style. Missed
Brings tears to my eyes.
I always loved this melody when the Chieftains version was used in Stanley Kubrick’s film Barry Lyndon back in the seventies. But Jeff put a whole new gloss on it. Absolutely wonderful, especially the way the guitar and the fiddle blended together. Rest in peace Jeff, you will be badly missed. ☘️🇮🇪☘️
aha! Barry Lyndon! I knew I'd heard this haunting melody before...
The chieftains and the Bothy Band , Ireland's finest , Jeff Beck England's finest.... nuff said !
Oh snap, I haven't seen Barry Lyndon in, what, 45 years? Totally do NOT remember this song, now I gotta watch it again. Thanks for the memory jog

Ohhh Jefff where are my dreams without you..
My so dear ..lost in heaven guitar🛩️🪂🍀
He was such a compassionate accompanist, always leaving space for other players. It must have been mind blowing to play with him.
Hard to believe he's finally gone.
I listened to him for decades because of his guitar.
I have no shame admitting that I watched him more for the bass those last few years....
He and Jan Hammer.............phew Rest in Peace Jeff
Tne number one guitar player of the R&R history.RIP dear Jeff.🙏❤️
Jeff is brilliant and humble allowing all the stars to shine he plays with. His heart and soul runs through every fiber of his being while performing.
Its about Geoffrey (Jeff) Beck, our sorrow and prayers for his loved ones. What a heavenly music, and a heavenly soul. R.I.P
RIP Jeff . The haunting sound of Ireland played by an Englishman in New York , but he sure hits the spot . He treats is beautifully . Lizzie has a lovely feeling for the piece . Lovely .
So true it’s haunting
King of the Strat and the Queen of the Bass what a talent! 🇨🇦🎼🎸
Well, you’re half right.
Perfectly stated. Thank you.
Bless You and your family Jeff Beck - your lyrical flights of profundity will not soon be forgotten
Brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful.
Who`d a thought Keith would`ve out lived Jeff?? Keith Richard`s doctor is on another level.
I've probably watched this video 25 times over the past couple of years. Never get over Lizzie's mischievous look of satisfaction at the end. More poignant now, than ever.
Hi good day claro creo que si" jua.jua.jua" demas que lan ganas de llorar piensa " the charly"??? Claro su mirada"???
nice to see the Violin gettin its props after all these years...
I love this song. I listen to it a lot and this is so close to perfect it is just amazing.
Hearing that Jeff is no longer with us is a sad thing for everyone who loves to see Jeff play.
There is no one that does what Jeff does on the guitar and so it's a terrible loss to everyone that he will never play his unique style again. I am really sad that he died and I hope his next gig in the sky goes on and he is in a really good place....
RIP Jeff Beck, we really did love you and your huge talent of playing music the way you wanted to.... Bye bye Jeff...
Absolutely love this rendition
❤ So much heart and soul put into each note. Beautiful.
Music originally composed by Sean O Riada , a Corkman from Ireland. This and Mise Eire - sublime!
Up Cork.
Truly beautiful! Jeff had such heart and soul to be able to share his sound with other sounds. Brilliant.
Just awesome Jeff Beck, now playing guitar with the gods in heaven, we are blessed to have had your talents to enjoy!
i admire incredible musicianship.
JEFF BECK is not dead , it 'S guitarist immortaly for me and alls others fans .r.i.p.forever. one french fan with tears in eyes. jackyfan ➕🔥
What I loved about Jeff Beck was that his playing was so fearless; it seemed as if he was right on the edge of going off the rails, but then he'd pull out amazing riffs and melodies.
Exactly. His playing had such great attack.
This song has never had as much significance as it does now!
May your memory be a blessing
Really gorgeous melody. The violin & guitar fit so well together. And I never tire of watching Tal playing with Jeff.
AGREED
When I saw Jeff in Chicago last October I was sure he had had the lady pictured on bass. Someone texted her name is Ronda Smith. She played an excellent bass solo. Who was on the bass that night?
Not sure what you’re referring to. The bass player in this video is the incomparable Tal Wilkenfeld.
So much emotion & so beautiful Jeff Beck 🎸 will always be talked about and will never be Forgotten.
His Music will live on for us & for future generations to enjoy.
He is know playing Somewhere over the Rainbow 🙏
So lucky to have seen him perform this classic at Jones Beach!!! One of my ALL time guitarist! God Bless you JB!
RIP Maestro.
I’d only ever heard Bob James rendition of this - this is another level! Lizzie Ball - amazing.
I felt the same way.
RIP Jeff - your music stays forever!
Great!!!!!!! Love this!!
The last few seconds show what a master he is.
Just so gorgeous. RIP Jeff. 🌹
The riff is very similar to King Crimson's Starless. It's exquisite no matter who is playing it. RIP Jeff Beck.
Wonderful take on sean O Riadas song - he would approve
Achingly beautiful.
just incredible. Tears in my eyes each time I hear this interpretation
Oh, that people who only now are coming to realize who he was could have known it during his life. He deserved more recognition and appreciation among the general public than he got, even though many people, especially fellow guitarists, saw it. But at least it's good to see the massive outpouring of love that's now happening in the wake of his passing. There will be a lot of epiphanies for more folks as they belatedly discover what he left us.
Unfortunately, that's often the way it goes. Chance or luck plays a huge role in how each of us encounters different talents during our lives. Sometimes it's because we have someone in our lives who gives us the lead: an older sibling, a friend, or a parent. Now with social media it's "easier" to encounter something worth our while, but it's also harder, because there's so much of it.
As with success in the job market: it often boils down to who you know.
Even if you are lucky enough to encounter a great talent early on, it still doesn't guarantee that you are able to appreciate that talent immediately. Life is full of so many variables.
Bill, very true. As far as Jeff’s career, he chose to avoid the commercial popularity and play the music he wanted to play. He wasn’t giving in to the record companies to put out an album every year. He did his own thing his own way. He carefully chose the musicians to put out the kind of evolving progressive music he wanted. Not new wave, grunge. He did it his way. And if they didn’t like it he would go home and work on his cars. He chose his own Path. He wasn’t victimized. He did it his way. That’s why Jeff Beck didn’t care about cranking out albums. Just making music with players and singers his way.
Exquisite. Transports me.
When everyone is leader in the band.
Planets in line , cosmic odds.
What a beauty.
Damn
Amazing live performance, xtreme professionalism.
I'm gonna have to try practicing guitar using my thumb and fingers to pick while using whammy for select bends, looks fun. No one does it like Jeff, though. RIP
No one will ever be quite like him
Such a nice number,playing!RIP Mr.Beck
Three words; sublime sublime sublime.
This was incredible. Booking flight to Ireland as we speak
This is one of the best I've ever heard.
They put out a flawless performance that just makes me so happy to experience it
It's one of those works that you have to hear it as words just don't seem good enough to describe just how good this is... Just amazing..
We are lucky to have access to these great live performances seeing great musos in the moment.
