Great Review, Thank you, I also purchased the TripleTek Pro Tablet, I also have been very pleased With This Tablet. There Customers care service is 5 Star's, They stand behind there Product's. Sincerely your friend from MO Rick. God Bless you and your family and are Great Country
Thank you for this review sean. That certainly does look like a viable alternative to the Smart Controller. I wish Apple would make a ruggedized high brightness iPad.
A lot of people have been waiting for this review, as almost everyone is looking for a better screen to fly there drone with. And it seems like a great tablet, and good option for drone pilots to use as a monitor that will allow them view the screen in bright sunlight. Of course there are downsides, the weight and the cost. You can almost get the Mavic Air 2 for the cost of this tablet. And I do have concerns that the DJI Fly app won't run as well as it does on my IOS devices. But it is something I might consider getting at some point. Great review Sean.
Thx Sean. Have you tried screen recording with the tablet yet? I would be curious to see how it does while still flying the Drone.. lag, glitch etc etc. Thx bud Mikey
hello, nice video, thanks, can you please post a link where to buy that nice RC Adapter?, I have Skydio2, its RC is same as ther ANAFI one, and I can't find a suitable adapter to fit the Tripltek Pro... thanks for helping,,,,
It looks to be way too thick and heavy as you mention plus the price is really high. I have been using the iPad mini for several years now. You don't need to buy the newest one. The last generation works just perfectly for drone flying and an inexpensive sun shield works just fine. Thanks for all you do Sean.
Had one down here in OZ for six weeks now (8gb pro) i removed the anti-glare screen, its pretty heavy like you say but the 10,000mha batteries last all day. EDIT: The anti-glare screen is made of glass & breaks when you remove it, well it did for me.
@@Socal_Geo1 I sure did. I'm hoping to do a review on it very soon. This Is what every dji drone should come with.. lol.. I'm hoping it works out.. just got it today.. 💙💙👍btw thank you for the kind words👍👍 I'm grateful for your support.. Mikey
Does it have HDMI in? For a M300 we want to use RTK and an external monitor at the same time - we would have to plug this into the HDMI out port on the M300 controller
Ive been limping along using the crystal sky apk file loaded and there has not been a fix for google play not working that comes up in the most opportune time. I agree that this is a great alternative if you have a Evo II and dont want to purchase the 1200 version that came out.
Great video, does it have a micro sd slot to expand the memory? You may have said it but I may have missed it. I would really like to get one but saving for a new drone, maybe later. Currently I use my old Note 8 which is rated at 1200 nits so it's working great for now but would like something with a larger screen.
I purchased the triple Tech enjoyed very much problem is it doesn't work for any of my 3 drones It seems that the only people that make drones are DJ is a mcdrone's RDJI that sucks
IMO there are two downsides to that tablet, one is the 2lb weight, and the other the high price. NITS rating can be pretty subjective since the eye is logarithmic. Some NITS of different devices that can be used for drone application: Tripltex = 1200 NITS Galaxy Note 10 = 1308 NITS Galaxy Note 8 = 1200 NITS DJI Smart Controller = 1000 NITS iPad Mini 5 = 500 NITS Log(500)=2.7 Log(1200)=3.08 This suggests that there is little difference in the eye response to NITS over a wide range of device NITS. Don't buy the specs, buy the result. I usually use the light weight iPad Mini 5 with sunshield. The sunshield allows the iPad display to be easily seen in bright sunlight. The sunshield also help keep the iPad cool in hot bright sunlight.
@@jfizzle The resolution is more than enough for the size of the device, I can not see the difference between 720p and 1080p on displays sizes under 10 "
In addition to the other posts, don’t forget this is not a dedicated controller. You can use it as a regular Android tablet and even as a cell phone if you add a SIM card.... smart controller can’t do that. Also, this thing is ruggedized... it will survive normal drops and is dust proofed and water resistant....

Is there a screen recorder on there or do you have to download one on there in order to use screen recording ?!
Great review. Question: can the OS be updated or are you stuck with the current version?
For that price it better lol
Sadly, with Android devices-other than middle to top line phones-price is not always so.

You should do a comparison with the DJI Smart Controller. I would say the Smart Controller has a better screen but this one looks more durable.
you talk of a c-port on it can you run a c-port hdmi cable on that port to a larger screen? cheers from new zealand

Do you like it better without the anti glare screen or with?
I nee to know if there are any issues with the new 64bit system with the Mavic Air2S. Thanks
Where we could get the mount you use for this tablet?
Nice video
YaHOOOOOOOOOOO... Awesome REVIEW 👍

Could you please recommend a good usb c to micro usb for Mavic Mini to connect to the Tripltek Pro tablet? Thanks.

cool video, i have a question. the tripletek gives images in 4k?
Nice review. Thanks
you have a link for the mount

how is the waterproof rating? IP68?
Good information

Link for the mount, please!!?
I appreciate your reviews, very thorough. will this fit in Dji tablet mount?
Nice video 👍
Can you use it with the first gen mavic pro?
Yes
Any thoughts on the new Autel SC ?
Great video & info. But, your narrator voice was too soft to hear......

Thanks for the video! Question...Why would I purchase this vs. the Smart Controller at roughly the same price?
Because you can not the Smart Controller with the mini 2 or any other drone brand but DJI, the screen is much larger and the battery last forever
@@AerialImg What about the 720p resolution? Is that a negative?

Any thoughts on the Galaxy Active Tab3 vs. the Tripltek model?
It is 400 nits vs 1200 nits
I’m unable to purchase this in Australia 🇦🇺
It is on Amazon au
Can this be used with the DJI mini (1)?
Yes, It works with the mini 1
안녕하세요 반갑습니다 👍👍👍👍
And ultra expensive!
Oh, Android... you can use it for 2 years and than it's expensive waste... Unfortunately
Too expensive🙀
