    So after over 2 months of using this with my Autel Evo 1, Mavic 2 and Mavic Air 2, this is now my go-to tablet device. And Tripltek is rolling out custom made tablet adaptors for DJI/Autel equipment as of this January.

      @@bobbyd59 Yes I do use it as a stand alone "phone". But mostly for the data plan. That way I'm not having to hook it up to my mobile hot spot on my regular phone. Allows me to keep up with the chats if I go live.

      So the issues with Autel is fixed? I have an Autel Evo 2 and really need this... I'd rather have a slightly smaller but much brighter screen... I miss too much in the washed out ipad screen....

    Great review Brian!, You can solve the issue with the Autel Explorer turning off the WIFi or Airplane mode ON

    • @OriginaldoBo
      @OriginaldoBo 4 года назад +1

      That doesnt resolve the lag, lag is still about 2-5 seconds which is enough to be dangerous. The delay should be in the milliseconds and it’s not. Anyone saying that the delay is ok at 2-5 seconds please throw your drones in the garbage

    • @Seated_Perspectives
      @Seated_Perspectives 4 года назад

      @@OriginaldoBo So I honestly do not have any more lag with this device when I turn on airplane mode than I do with my Samsung Galaxy S20 in airplane mode, both sure look the same to me, here's a video of them both running the Autel app and tilting the gimbal. With the WIFI on, yes, it lags so bad it crashes the app and I still do get the pico error no matter what. I do not have a sim or SD card in it if that matters at all.
      ruclips.net/video/XNUS9cWzk7g/видео.html
      I'm also using a full size USB cable on the Evo controller side to USB C into tripletek, same cable I use for my P4Pro.

      Very glad to hear that! I know that mine was one of the first 100 to ship. It had many serious flaws. But after a major update, all is well. Another YT'er friend of mine brought up a point to keep in mind: future device firmware updates. Very informative and detailed video. For the record, I enjoyed the show and tell-part. I liked the set up with the lifthor mount with the evo controller(same as evo 2 which I have) it’s unfortunate it doesn’t perform well with the evo-though...weird that it’s laggy because my CS controller is rock solid, when flying the evo 2...no lag... and the cs is way under powered devise then the tripletek. Whatever you do, hold off on buying this device. It is even buggy-er than I first reported. I've been working with the manufacturer on some firmware updates, but so far have yet to see any improvement on the functionality with the Autel line. Also, while using the DJI Fly app I'm getting whole device crashes now. I'll probably do a further update fairly soon if TRipltek can figure a way to get these firmware updates to me w/o infecting my PC. (!!!)

    The reason you can't see the drive or SD card to transfer files when you connect the tablet to a computer is because you have change the USB mode in the tablet from "charging only" to "transfer files" mode. To do this, once the tablet is recognized by the computer, go to the tablet screen and "pull down" from the top of the tablet screen like you would to change screen brightness. You will then see a white bar that says "Android System - Charge only". Click on it. The bar changes to read "Tap for more options". Tap the bar. A popup will appear with radio buttons. Click the "Transfer Files" option and the drives will instantly appear on your computer screen in the T7121 folder. You'll have to do this every time you connect the tablet to a computer. It is not automatic.

    So I fly this with an Evo 2 pro. If you disable wifi or put it in airplane mode the Autel app works fine, it still gives one Pico error at startup but flight is smooth. Also with my EVO 2 the full size USB port functions fine for me, that's what I'm using, full size USB port on evo 2 controller to USB C in tripletek, same cable I use for my phantom 4 pro without issues. I even just tried 2 other cables after watching this video from my Samsung phones charger, all worked fine on the full sized port of Evo 2 controller to the triplex. But after a firmware update and purchasing a new good connection cable all of the problems where solved. No more app crashes it works very well with a T mobile data connection. And I will say thy have one of the best costumer service that I’ve had to deal with in along time, the are out to please. I had no problems flying my Mavic2 with this tablet what so ever. And Tripltek is working hard to better this tablet. The good thing you can do with tablet it is a phone. Hello Sir, Thank you for a great Review, I'm a new pilot, my name is Rick. I am not the smartest tool in the tool box when it comes to electronics. I hope I can learn from you. I just ordered the Pro TripleTek Jan. 2 2021 I have a Autel Evo pro 6k and I have a Fimi2020 and I also have the new Mavic mini 2 un opened, I bought it Blackfriday, So with the 600 Dollar stimulus check I ask my Phillipno wife of 21 year's what she thought, she ask me was I sure, I said yes, because I was told that Autel and TripleTek had it working with the Drone, Your Review is third Review I've watched, Sir when my wife went to order the TripleTek she saw there was a pro version of the TripleTek, So she ordered the pro version, I was happy she saw the newer version, it says it's 30% faster and if I read it right it has the newer 8.22 I'm sure I'm not the exact number, but I think you know what I mean, I pray that I made the right Choice, I have So much to learn, I am glad I watch your video, I can see I need to order some cables, Could you please let me know where you ordered your anger cable, I have some different ug adapters and a cable from Drone Valley called the Hydro cable, from Rick the owner, it is kinda long, but it is a fast charging cable ,it just has three adapters ,the type -c-micro-iso I totally agree the shorter the better. I saw on Amazon C TO C Male cable 11.5 inches , my Hydro cable was the same type of cable as your anger, but it's alot longer, but it has a type A on one end, but I'm praying that will work with my Autel Remote, I also have the Lifthor system, I think it the same as yours, it's the second edition, so please forgive me for asking so much. I can use all the help I can get, So Thank you again. I did read that the TripleTek pro was released Nov 23 2020 I also pray they have fixed the issues you found, I am a Disabled Union Laborer, So money isn't coming in as much as it was when I could work, I am 61 years old, I had to start using my time, I hate not being able to work anymore, so I bought my Drone's for Hobby and to help my Freinds to check there fences, because they all have cattle and I like to check are property for my Deers habits , So I'm praying that I made the right choice with the TripleTek, my email address is rickieratt@gmail.com I hope you don't mind if I can learn from you, and if I can help you in anyway, just ask .I thought your review was excellent. Thank you. Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick and God bless you and your family and are Great Country

      I'm sorry Ricky it so long to get back to you. Your comment showed up in my "held For Review" tab which I only check occasionally. Wow! You sound like you have a bunch of learning to do on several different drones! I also have the Lifthor system for my Evo as well. The Tripltek will work with either port on the RC; although out of habit I generally use the USB-C to Micro USB cable (www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Double-Braided-Type-C-Micro-B/dp/B07CWFNSSN/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=USB-C+to+micro+usb+cable+1ft&qid=1610135338&sr=8-14). For USB-C to USB-C (1ft) I have a bunch of different ones (Anker is just one of them) but the one I've been using the most is (www.amazon.com/JXMOX-Charger-Charging-Compatible-2018-Grey/dp/B07TVMBZ75/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=USB-C+to+USB-C+cable+1ft&qid=1610135560&sr=8-3) and the USB-C to Lightning (iOS) can be found anywhere on Amazon as well. And yes, my Tripltek has now become my go-to device for all my drones (M2Zoom, MAir2, Evo 1). Now I can't speak personally about the Pro model as I didn't think I would need it, but it definitely looks to be a step up from what I have now. One thing I can tell you from a few years experience flying drones is the higher you go, the less detail you will see on your device as you are flying. I have been flying with a 10" iPad for years, but I have found even with that, I will not see all the detail I'm capturing until I get it back onto my PC for review. So counting deer and cows can be a little challenging. But one thing I have noticed, most "ground" animals are not to disturbed be the noise a drone will make. Which means you can probably get in a little closer and not have them bolt on you.
      I'll put your email in my Contacts folder so if you do need to contact me, it wont go to the Spam pile. And mine is b19mac60key55@gmail.com.
      Hope you have fun with the drone hobby. I had to retire as well 3 years ago and it is what has kept me generally sane ever since.
      Good luck!

      Maybe because it's not available where you are? Just a guess. There website shows them being back ordered til 11/13 anyway.

    Hi I Have recently purchased a Tripltek tablet from Triplteck.com , I'm not having much luck with it 2 problems so far, 1. The external SD card slot does not connect. Tripltek have told me to remove the the card refit and it will work I have tried 2 cards and 5 different people to install them[no connection ? ] must be a Dud. the big problem is the Video lag [up to 20 Seconds] I am using Eachine E520E, E511E, Bugs 7, and SG 906 Beast drones transmitters are not hard wired but are using WiFi , these drones all work fine with my Galaxy S5 and Samsung TAB A tablet only issue being sunlight glare, do you have any thoughts on the issue Regards Geoff.

      Sorry it took me so long to respond. It was in my "Held for review" column on YT. Well, just last week, the people at Tripltek got with me and fixed most of the issues that have been plaguing this device. You will need to ask them to send you the information to download and install the 1.25GB firmware upgrade it needs to work as it should. And it is no easy task. I had to video conference with them to get this installed. Let me know if they can help you or not; I can forward the email to you but the instructions are not the best. But after it's all said and done, the device works as good or better than advertised. I'll be doing a follow up video shortly.

      AZ Screen Recorder. It has a cousin that works just as well: UR Recorder.

      So I guess the 1.25 GB firmware update I got from Tripltek wasn't necessary?
