I have a lot of theories on why this was put out the way it is. But seeing as how it is speculation, I'll keep it to myself for now. Still, though, it works great with the DJI Fly app. Which is more than I can say for the DJI Smart Controller I returned 2 weeks ago.

The reason you can't see the drive or SD card to transfer files when you connect the tablet to a computer is because you have change the USB mode in the tablet from "charging only" to "transfer files" mode. To do this, once the tablet is recognized by the computer, go to the tablet screen and "pull down" from the top of the tablet screen like you would to change screen brightness. You will then see a white bar that says "Android System - Charge only". Click on it. The bar changes to read "Tap for more options". Tap the bar. A popup will appear with radio buttons. Click the "Transfer Files" option and the drives will instantly appear on your computer screen in the T7121 folder. You'll have to do this every time you connect the tablet to a computer. So I fly this with an Evo 2 pro. If you disable wifi or put it in airplane mode the Autel app works fine, it still gives one Pico error at startup but flight is smooth. Also with my EVO 2 the full size USB port functions fine for me, that's what I'm using, full size USB port on evo 2 controller to USB C in tripletek, same cable I use for my phantom 4 pro without issues. Say, I want to say that the Tripletek 7” tablet works GREAT the Autel EVO2. I will say at first I had a few problems. But after a firmware update and purchasing a new good connection cable all of the problems where solved. No more app crashes it works very well with a T mobile data connection. And I will say thy have one of the best costumer service that I’ve had to deal with in along time, the are out to please. I had no problems flying my Mavic2 with this tablet what so ever. And Tripltek is working hard to better this tablet. The good thing you can do with tablet it is a phone. The only thing I did to this tablet was removed the screen protector cause I like to use a stylus when working on any tablet or phone but that is just me.
I've so far gotten two firmware updates from Tripltek. The first, a little over a week ago put a virus on my PC after it asked to allow me to lower my firewall. Not happy at all about that. The 2nd firmware update is still sitting in my email inbox. I'll give that a go probably today. Good to know about the screen protector; I've been thinking about removing it.
Eric F in the above comment has a spot on fix for the file transfer, but everything else still is the same as I mentioned. Might try some of the mentioned "fixes" for the Evo and see how that goes.
Just bought the tripltek 8gb PRO tablet. Fingers crossed no issues with compatibility with phantom 4 pro 2. I’m training out of DWS Droneschool with this setup. Keep me updated w/ tablet performance and I’ll do the same!
Unless you are going to use your drone commercially, I don't see the need for the 8GB (Pro) version of the Tripltek. And for commercial uses I'm not sure if I would recommend it at all, due to the fact that there is no HDMI port on the device.
Hello Sir, Thank you for a great Review, I'm a new pilot, my name is Rick. I am not the smartest tool in the tool box when it comes to electronics. I hope I can learn from you. I just ordered the Pro TripleTek Jan. 2 2021 I have a Autel Evo pro 6k and I have a Fimi2020 and I also have the new Mavic mini 2 un opened, I bought it Blackfriday, So with the 600 Dollar stimulus check I ask my Phillipno wife of 21 year's what she thought, she ask me was I sure, I said yes, because I was told that Autel and TripleTek had it working with the Drone, Your Review is third Review I've watched, Sir when my wife went to order the TripleTek she saw there was a pro version of the TripleTek, So she ordered the pro version, I was happy she saw the newer version, it says it's 30% faster and if I read it right it has the newer 8.22 I'm sure I'm not the exact number, but I think you know what I mean, I pray that I made the right Choice, I have So much to learn, I am glad I watch your video, I can see I need to order some cables, Could you please let me know where you ordered your anger cable, I have some different ug adapters and a cable from Drone Valley called the Hydro cable, from Rick the owner, it is kinda long, but it is a fast charging cable ,it just has three adapters ,the type -c-micro-iso I totally agree the shorter the better. I saw on Amazon C TO C Male cable 11.5 inches , my Hydro cable was the same type of cable as your anger, but it's alot longer, but it has a type A on one end, but I'm praying that will work with my Autel Remote, I also have the Lifthor system, I think it the same as yours, it's the second edition, so please forgive me for asking so much. I can use all the help I can get, So Thank you again. I did read that the TripleTek pro was released Nov 23 2020 I also pray they have fixed the issues you found, I am a Disabled Union Laborer, So money isn't coming in as much as it was when I could work, I am 61 years old, I had to start using my time, I hate not being able to work anymore, so I bought my Drone's for Hobby and to help my Freinds to check there fences, because they all have cattle and I like to check are property for my Deers habits , So I'm praying that I made the right choice with the TripleTek, my email address is rickieratt@gmail.com I hope you don't mind if I can learn from you, and if I can help you in anyway, just ask .I thought your review was excellent. Thank you. Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick and God bless you and your family and are Great Country
I'm sorry Ricky it so long to get back to you. Your comment showed up in my "held For Review" tab which I only check occasionally. Wow! You sound like you have a bunch of learning to do on several different drones! I also have the Lifthor system for my Evo as well. The Tripltek will work with either port on the RC; although out of habit I generally use the USB-C to Micro USB cable (www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Double-Braided-Type-C-Micro-B/dp/B07CWFNSSN/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=USB-C+to+micro+usb+cable+1ft&qid=1610135338&sr=8-14). For USB-C to USB-C (1ft) I have a bunch of different ones (Anker is just one of them) but the one I've been using the most is (www.amazon.com/JXMOX-Charger-Charging-Compatible-2018-Grey/dp/B07TVMBZ75/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=USB-C+to+USB-C+cable+1ft&qid=1610135560&sr=8-3) and the USB-C to Lightning (iOS) can be found anywhere on Amazon as well. And yes, my Tripltek has now become my go-to device for all my drones (M2Zoom, MAir2, Evo 1). Now I can't speak personally about the Pro model as I didn't think I would need it, but it definitely looks to be a step up from what I have now. One thing I can tell you from a few years experience flying drones is the higher you go, the less detail you will see on your device as you are flying. I have been flying with a 10" iPad for years, but I have found even with that, I will not see all the detail I'm capturing until I get it back onto my PC for review. So counting deer and cows can be a little challenging. But one thing I have noticed, most "ground" animals are not to disturbed be the noise a drone will make. Which means you can probably get in a little closer and not have them bolt on you. I'll put your email in my Contacts folder so if you do need to contact me, it wont go to the Spam pile. And mine is b19mac60key55@gmail.com. Hope you have fun with the drone hobby. I had to retire as well 3 years ago and it is what has kept me generally sane ever since. Good luck!

I even just tried 2 other cables after watching this video from my Samsung phones charger, all worked fine on the full sized port of Evo 2 controller to the triplex. You might want to try a different cable on the full size USB port, but if you try turning on airplane mode your autel flights will be smooth.
I'll give it a shot. But turning on Airplane mode would disable the map feature in the app. Not a safe way to fly.
@@BMacksAerialVisuals it does not disable the map feature for me. Shows my proper GPS coordinates and flight path in app and on my airuav flight records. The only thing no connection will disable that I have noticed is the apps voice commands. I fly exclusively with no internet connection because I often fly in areas with no cell or wifi service, map coordinates and map display have never been an issue for me, I just make sure the app has cached the map before flight.
@@BMacksAerialVisuals to fix the pico error just go into the app settings and disable voice over, no more pico error. Or you can just install Google text to speech from Google play and that will fix the error too.
@@BMacksAerialVisuals its Google maps causing the lagging out and crash and its voice overs causing the pico error. Change to airmaps instead of Google maps, disable voice over and it runs just fine with WIFI turned on.
Thanks for the information, Brian.
So, it was bright enough that no sun shield needed, and if I heard you correctly, it doesn't seem to be much heavier than a regular tablet. I can't decide wether to get it. I want something bright enough, I don't need my sun-visor
It's way better than my 9.7" iPad for using it in the sun. And yes, the weight "feels" about the same as my iPad, as well as it's balance.
well Brian like 1200 nit idea curious price i have 5.5 & 7.85 chrystalsky at 1000 nits each which is pretty nice and each has 2 micro sd slots hdmi usb micro usb and usb-c slots 5.5 bout 460usd and 7.85 699usd
Yeah, that is the one thing missing on this device is an HDMI port. And all in all, I was able to use a discount code from Captain Drone's channel to get this thing for $549.
Great test my friend ☺️ looking pretty nice 👍
Thanks for the visit
If Tripltek comes up with a fix for some of these issues please let me know. But like you I wanted to use I tablet for all my Drones.
Eric F in the above comment has a spot on fix for the file transfer, but everything else still is the same as I mentioned. Might try some of the mentioned "fixes" for the Evo and see how that goes.
Where’s a mount for this tablet for the phantom 4 pro v2 controller?
I know, right? Guess they didn't want to go that far back on the legacy application of this tablet.
Just bought the tripltek 8gb PRO tablet. Fingers crossed no issues with compatibility with phantom 4 pro 2.
I’m training out of DWS Droneschool with this setup. Keep me updated w/ tablet performance and I’ll do the same!
Good information. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
And I thank you for watching.
Wow.. Amazing👍 Many thanks for Sharing my friend. Enjoyed. Stay Connected 😊😊
Thank you, I will
is getting the 6 gig version ok, or is the 8 gig recommended?
Thanks for this review!
Unless you are going to use your drone commercially, I don't see the need for the 8GB (Pro) version of the Tripltek. And for commercial uses I'm not sure if I would recommend it at all, due to the fact that there is no HDMI port on the device.
Nice review
Thank you! Cheers!
Good luck!
Is this the pro version ?
No, this is the standard version.
Great information good to know all this 👍 just googled it and it’s showing me Pharmacy tablets 😂
Maybe because it's not available where you are? Just a guess. There website shows them being back ordered til 11/13 anyway.
Hi I Have recently purchased a Tripltek tablet from Triplteck.com , I'm not having much luck with it 2 problems so far, 1. The external SD card slot does not connect. Tripltek have told me to remove the the card refit and it will work I have tried 2 cards and 5 different people to install them[no connection ? ] must be a Dud. the big problem is the Video lag [up to 20 Seconds] I am using Eachine E520E, E511E, Bugs 7, and SG 906 Beast drones transmitters are not hard wired but are using WiFi , these drones all work fine with my Galaxy S5 and Samsung TAB A tablet only issue being sunlight glare, do you have any thoughts on the issue Regards Geoff.
Sorry it took me so long to respond. It was in my "Held for review" column on YT. Well, just last week, the people at Tripltek got with me and fixed most of the issues that have been plaguing this device. You will need to ask them to send you the information to download and install the 1.25GB firmware upgrade it needs to work as it should. And it is no easy task. I had to video conference with them to get this installed. Let me know if they can help you or not; I can forward the email to you but the instructions are not the best. But after it's all said and done, the device works as good or better than advertised. I'll be doing a follow up video shortly.
What is the APP you are using to do screen recorder?
AZ Screen Recorder. It has a cousin that works just as well: UR Recorder.
Sorry to inform you but it is not triplex problem it is software that was installed that is crashing EVO
So I guess the 1.25 GB firmware update I got from Tripltek wasn't necessary?
I was wrong
Very nice ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌
👍
Thanks 😊
