Theres a reason most chevy silverado guys put away their LS projects and switched over to the coyote f150 platform. Its just so much easier to build and get results. That little Coyote 5.0 F150 is where its at these days.
Yet, everybody else still wants a LS swap, including the Ford guys

@@mobregonjrMaybe not a junkyard LS, but a simple google search will show you that multiple S550s have already been LS swapped. LS swaps is here to stay until the internal combustion engine is dead.
Plz elaborate on the cost of a coyote build vs an LS. The coyote may indeed be the current all out hp king, but there is no denying it’s much more expensive to do than an LS. Cost per hp it’s not even close.

I had same issues on my lowered 4wd silverado, I broke a few axles. You need longer axles on these trucks, get the factory trail boss axles since they are longer and won't pop the snap rings off

@@TheReaper42069 I'm a maintenance man for apartments so I'm always broke so my 2001 Chevy Silverado HD 6.0 has almost 280,000 Miles on it and my second gear is fixing to go out so it's going to get parked until I can come up with the money to rebuild the trans.

I can remember watching this crew when they first started with Leroy, and they were struggling with 9's
Mullet had all sorts of power delivery problems and struggled to get into the 8's.
These boys and their cars have come a long way.

Here in Texas, that 275 class is FAST! Most of your 275 shootouts have cars that do 3.80s in them on the right track. I would genuinely love to see Mullet rock a 275 more often and get into consistent DEEP 4s and 6s.

Not because it's weak, because the truck is lowered so much the factory axle isn't long enough and pulling it apart. If you modify your suspension that much, you gotta make sure stuff like the CV axles are the right length.

Hey fellas, check out the launch at the 27:22 mark on the video. Qhen you drop the trans break the wheel stutters one tooth rotation before it locks up and goes. May have a worn tooth in the diff. Or a lag somewhere between the trans and different. May be costing you a tenth on the launch.
Watching it zoomed in and in slow motion it appears to just be the delay from the tire wrinkling.
The AT4 GMC truck has larger inner joints on the front axle shafts. The Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss edition also has the larger front axle shafts....that would be a good upgrade for your giveaway truck.
