I wasn’t even remotely a drag racing fan 6 years ago. One day I randomly found this guy trying to break a stick shift record in what he called a “Leroy”, and the rest is history. Crazy how far this channel has come.
Same here but maybe a little bit earlier. Me and my then 4 year old daughter came across this crazy guy chopping up his corvette to see if he could make it go faster and we both became huge drag racing fans. I think she just liked how he named all his cars but their personalities got us hooked.

Absolutely love watching tys journey. Going on sick week is a dream of mine one day and it's awesome watching him get the truck to do what he wants and enjoying the experience.
This video has so many great moments. Soo many. Seeing James wearing glasses to tune, you have tye having a blast and doing well while learning. And rip my kids are older but man sometimes I miss seeing mine at that age. Laughed my butt off watching rip pull the tools out and chuck them haha😂

Fo' sho' with that statement but what is even more impressive is a freaking bone stick work truck runs 13.70s with ease!
In the old days our stock daily driver pickup trucks used to tow our "race cars" to the track on an open trailer and run open headers and blast mid 13s and think we were doing something! Mind you this was during a time in the late 70s early 80s when 170hp was considered the highest horsepower top dog of factory muscle back then.
By the time I was 19 and had my 442 running 12.60s while driving it to the track I thought I had a true missle. Frankly that was quick and fast back then around 1988, it was something to be proud of.
Now in 2024 Sam's new work truck runs 13.70s all freaking day long being dead stock.
Gotta love how far performance has come!
I mean, think about this: Even the S197 Mustang and the 2004 GTO were barely cracking into the 13s. This truck is literally running a quicker quarter mile than Car and Driver did for the review for the 2005 Mustang GT. You had to go to either the GT500 or the 2011 Mustang GT that finally had the 5.0 before you might be beating this truk
