Hey Graham. Are you going to make a video about how the savings app with the big Y screwed over and froze everyone's accounts? I'm one of the hundreds of thousands of people in that boat. I thought the company you are part owner of was FDIC ensured? But, now I can't get my savings back and I'm struggling, could you help me? 😢😭😢😭😢
I’ve seen a lot of these “look poor” videos, but I think many of them are missing a point. You can avoid excess spending and unnecessary luxury goods without “looking poor”. Well-fitting clothes, good grooming, and classic/timeless taste can go a long way. It’s not like we have to decide between Gucci or “look poor”. You can look very classy and upscale on a budget. The reason I say this is because I think some people are going too far in the opposite direction and risk coming across as unkempt or lazy. Even when my family was poor they taught me to look clean and presentable to the world. It had nothing to do with gaudy clothing or brand flexing. There is a middle ground where you don’t have to “look poor” but you also don’t have to spend excessively to achieve a nice look.
You completely missed the point. You’re not supposed to actually look poor. As in wearing ripped clothes, socks with holes, not showering, or not grooming. The point is to buy regular inexpensive clothes, drive inexpensive cars (a 2018 Honda civic), and not portray an image as if you’re rich. Live within your means. That’s the point.

It's deeply ironic that many who try to look rich, are in fact poor, and the harder they try the poorer they probably are. I'm glad that I now understand the game designer brands are playing, and that having a large garish logo on clothing, etc, communicates insecurity far more than success and wealth. It's like many things in life, when you stop faking it and make peace with yourself you actually end up making a better impression and will be a much happier person.

True to a point, But dressing appropriately is a kind of key to feeling comfortable and avoiding making others uncomfortable. So don't wear stuff that is really shabby if you're going somewhere it's expected to look presentable; that's not emotionally intelligent. That said, I do enjoy finding good quality items for the price, mending, upcycling and fixing things. If I have a brand nobody recognises and it's good quality that's a plus for me.
I’ve been doing this for a while and the people that give me good customer service thrive from it. I’ve gone to a car dealership in shorts and a tshirt and been ignored at some and then helped really well at others. The worst experience was at Subaru and the best was at a Genesis dealership. Two different kinds of things. I’ve done exactly what you have said in here. Overall, I feel better about myself and often enjoy doing things with others. The experiences are key!
Funny thing is I was just having a conversation with a co-worker last night about how I’m not into brand name and designer clothing, and how most people who wear that stuff are putting money into someone else’s pocket, making them rich, all to feel validation by others. On another note…. In regards to peoples personal information floating around, most people would be surprised to find out that their data is floating around in the least susceptible places. I was at a dental appointment a few weeks ago, and the screen they have attached to the chair that you sit / lay on, literally had a list of a few peoples names, birthdays and social security numbers right on the screen. On another note, I once did a clean up job for a college that closed down, and they literally threw away hundreds, if not thousands of profiles for students in the trash. Those profiles included a copy of those students CA ID, as well as copies of their social security cards. And the crazy thing is that all that info was in three ring binders.
I work in a school for rich kids in China.. and they even dress their kindergarten kids in 150$ shirts that they will spill food on and grow out of. My Chinese co-worker chided me for saying its a bit silly and said she would do it too. Its not a surprise since most of the money out here is "new money", as in accumulated in the last 20 years, so there is this perceived need to show everyone what your worth is based on your exterior
In the stillness of the morning light, I find my hope renewed, a whisper in my soul reminding me of grace so true. Every tear that falls, He holds them in His hands, transforming every struggle into strength, as only He can. With every step I take, I feel His presence near, guiding me through valleys, calming every fear. In the darkness, He’s my light, a beacon shining bright, lifting burdens from my heart, filling me with might. His love surrounds me like a gentle, flowing stream, a promise that sustains me, more than just a dream. I’ll sing of His mercy, I’ll shout of His praise, for in His arms I find rest, through all of my days. Every mountain moved, every chain that breaks, it’s all because of Him, for love’s eternal sake. I stand in His freedom, my spirit soaring high, anchored in His promise, no limit to the sky. As I write this, it feels surreal that Teresa janette brock entered my life at my lowest point. The past few years have been a nightmare, marked by tragedy that took a toll on my mental and physical health. Losing my daughter to a rare illness shattered my world; she was my light and my reason for living. Her death created a void I thought would never heal. Soon after, my husband abandoned us, leaving me to face this pain alone. I was on the brink of giving up when I met Kelvin. His positivity and vibrant energy were infectious, drawing me in immediately. she listened to my story and connected me with a business opportunity she believed would suit my skills. Initially, I was skeptical, unsure if I could take on anything new. However, he encouraged me to give it a try, and I approached it with no expectations. To my surprise, this opportunity turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The business not only provided financial stability but also instilled a sense of purpose in my life. Each morning, I woke up with renewed zeal, knowing I had something to look forward to. This venture allowed me to begin healing my broken heart, and I found joy in helping others facing similar struggles. Teresa empowered me to believe in myself and my abilities, which I will be forever grateful for. she came into my life as a business acquaintance, but she has become so much more. she restored my faith in humanity and illuminated my path during the darkest times. There’re a ton of this same title videos popping up on RUclips recently. I imagine many of them are copying from each other without having anyone in particular in mind.
I think it’s a balance, you can spend a few years building wealth, then once you are financially stable it’s okay to spend more on the nicer things especially when your net worth is 100k plus and you’re on a good track for retirement
it depends on personal goals and circumstances. Building wealth doesn’t have to mean depriving yourself of all enjoyment until you’ve hit major milestones like owning a home. If someone has built a solid foundation with an emergency fund, investments, and no significant debt, it's okay to reward yourself within reason. It’s all about finding a balance that works for your lifestyle while still saving and investing for the future.

Graham, you've nailed the topic with this video. My friends and I have done some desert racing in the last year, and sharing the experience, cost, and enjoying the the full process really solidifies those memories.
Lol!!! "Aspirational Brand" thank you Graham. I had no idea that was a thing. Makes so much sense, I just walked the strip in Vegas this past week and shook my head at these massive luxury brand stores. How is the world do clothes and bags cover the cost of that real-estate, I get it now.
It's easy for a man that don't want designer brand to tell others to let it go. Ok Graham give up coffee or what ever you drink then see how easy that is.
Well explained. Thanks for bringing up the videos financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject.
I think social media also plays such a big part in this. People see RUclipsrs, IG accounts, etc buying things and "styling" themselves or their homes or "hacks" or even "Amazon finds/must haves" and you get sucked into getting those items too. It is very easy to do. I have definitely bought something I didn't need just because it was "asthetic"
Totally agree, and brands mostly are a waste. Especially the "G" brand you brought up. Though, dressing well is incredibly important, and everyone should know this. Regardless of your wealth, everyone can dress well. How you look says alot.
Starting real estate, I’ve been told to “dress like the commission I feel I deserve.” Or at the very least, “dress one level higher than your client.” Ofcourse attire is situational, but for real estate I feel like it’s important to be more presentable.
Fancy labels and popular name brands attract attention from those I detest most: the shallow and materialistic. Appreciating nice things is fine. But if those shiny things impress someone or make you more valuable or attractive, that is where values become questionable.
I dressed like a bum the other day and thus was able to convince the salesman to give me 4k off a brand new Honda Pilot AWD v6. 42.7k OTD. Best suv on the planet
If you're caught somewhere in the middle, you can look "expensive" without costing a fortune. I notice a *MARKED* difference when I am out in public wearing normal shorts and a tee vs gray/black jeans and a button down w/ sleeves rolled up (not designer, just Express) One fit is about 50$, while the jeans and button down is maybe 130$. But I can wear it everyday (variants etc) and people seem nicer/more respectful. Way better experience. Look NICE/Professional, not wearing lame designer logos that look tacky. You'll see a big difference. Don't LOOK POOR. Look NICE but classy. For cheap :) That's the ultimate win.
I don’t care for designer brands because I find it silly that they have their logo all over them. However, I found a fake Channel purse at the thrift one day and I bought it as a joke for a friend. But instead, I got the biggest kick out of how people responded to me when I had it on me. The amount of people that gushed over it was hilarious! They treated me very differently because of their impression of what it meant. People are so silly

I actually am poor. Very poor. Living off of a meager SSI check and some food stamps. They actually took off my food stamps for this whole month and I barely have food in my fridge. I'm buying canned food at the dollar stores to get by 😮😢. I don't have to fake it I actually live it.
I couldn’t love this anymore 💕 💯 agree!! I love by this. I also found, the more I had to show, the more those around me became resentful and less giving towards me. It became an expectation I pay for things.
Loved and agree with most of what you said, except signing up for a new credit card to buy plane tickets. Get a part time job, or just save up, make the extra cash and buy the plane tickets. Don’t get a credit card. Love your channel.
The *experience* of signing up for, pre-ordering, and then getting the first iPad becoming probably the first person in Europe to have the very first tablet ever made. Yeah! 😁 But agree, just wanted to say that some buying experiences can be a full-on experience, too. 😉
I never spent on any name brand nor designer brand, I drive very old (but immaculately maintained) old cars without electronics. I live in a small ugly on the outside home (on purpose) but very very well appointed and comfortable inside. My clothes are basic, simple and comfortable. The food I eat is mostly usually veggies I grew in my little garden and fish i bred in my little pond. ..... but, theres nothing I see that I cant afford. Im old, worked hard all my life and made sure I would have this wonderful retired life I have now.
The best thing about my money is that it is mine. I can spend it how I want, regardless of how Graham feels. Do I wear big logos? No, because I don’t like them. That doesn’t mean my wardrobe is cheap or that I like looking poor.
I will spend my money on whatever makes me happy. I love buying name brands and love flying business classes on vacation. Only one life to live. Live it fully.
Hi Graham! I really appreciated your perspective on why “looking poor” can actually be a smart strategy in business. It’s a refreshing take that challenges conventional thinking about wealth and success. I agree that focusing on value and long-term goals rather than immediate appearances can lead to better financial decisions. I’d love to hear more about how you see this mindset impacting investment strategies or business growth. Looking forward to your thoughts!
I'm a car guy and will always spend money on cars (but within reason) My most recent purchase is a few year old Mercedes that looks very nice and somewhat expensive to an average person. I got it extremely cheap because the bumper was damaged and the guy was having to move it around street parking in West Hollywood. I fixed it, put some newer wheels on it, and I'm about $5000 all in on a car that doesn't look out of place valet parked. I also buy a few cars to resell each year to make money or offset my cost.
I 110% agree with this view on money. TIME is the MOST valuable asset in the world, and everyone gets the same 24 hours. How we choose to spend our time and money is (in my opinion) the most important decisions we make in life. Those who are secure and confident about their time and money are the richest people alive. There are too many people out there who are "fake rich" and losing the sense of THEIR human value. Our God given talents, gifts and love are what people truly remember. Not what car we drove or what we wore...which will all go in the landfill one day anyway. Enjoy each day and choose to spend that time with those you care most about -- that's true wealth.
I disagree - money is not best at providing you options. It’s best at allowing you to do good deeds. By doing many good deeds instead of consuming, you get the most value out of money.

I'm glad that I now understand the game designer brands are playing, and that having a large garish logo on clothing, etc, communicates insecurity far more than success and wealth. It's like many things in life, when you stop faking it and make peace with yourself you actually end up making a better impression and will be a much happier person.
During my last semester, I been going through some rough times on getting myself less distracted and I sometimes get jealous on the people that are smarter at my college but thanks to this video I finally wanted to improve on my knowledge and work ahead on my goals on being an environmental scientist. Thank you Prime consultant 001 for making this video because that will help improve my work-life balance in the future
“Why it’s important to look poor” - **Films video in front of his $500k+ Ford GT**
Although I do agree with mostly everything you said 😅
Just finished watching this, and now I’m gonna start carrying around a coffee cup full of ramen to really complete my 'I’m broke but secretly saving like a boss' look! 😂 Thanks for the financial fashion advice, Graham!
So many people need to hear this
This video literally popped up as I was window shopping for something I don’t actually NEED… lol thanks needed to hear this!
Haha incredible timing
Helping disaster victims is a good way to spend extra money.
I'm broke but not by choice, lmao.
Working towards financial independence tho... Thanks for the tips!
You got this!
lol same! 😂
@@GrahamStephanExcellent video. But you never mentioned the number one in wealth...HEALTH! Without, there's nothing..
Yep. As soon as you can afford things the desire is goes down
Funny thing is I was just having a conversation with a co-worker last night about how I’m not into brand name and designer clothing, and how most people who wear that stuff are putting money into someone else’s pocket, making them rich, all to feel validation by others.
Buy your time or experiences not things…
Buying time has been a relatively “new” revelation for me
Waking up every 14th of each month to *210,000 dollars* it's a blessing to I and my family... Big gratitude to *Janice Isaac*
You're a liar.
I hope this message serves as a testament to his kindness and generosity. Please help me reach Her at teresajanettebrock @🅖🅜🅐🅘🅛⚫c0M to express my heartfelt gratitude.

My car instructor told me 15 years ago: be a Plain Jane on the road. Don’t stand out. Less unwanted attention - less car bills and less danger from those wanting to get you. 🙂
Totally!
I heard the same thing. He also told me to avoid any red or yellow cars to avoid standing out.
Yea be a NPC, be boring, sure!

I "look poor" because I'm poor lol
You don't want to look poor. You want to blend in. The things that should stand out are your intellect and charisma. People forget what you are wearing as soon as you leave the room, but they will definitely remember a great joke or good insight.
This man spends hundreds of thousands of time just to help us. He helps those in need while also helping us. He always puts a smile on our faces and we should appreciate it. Hats off to Him! I love you dude. Crazy I've never payed attention to the Prime consultant 001 movement when I say ancestral your a gift to our people
What unit of measurement is “hundreds of thousands of time”?
"Looking Poor" is important. Has a super car in the background that is just for decoration..... uhhhhhhhhh mixed signals received.
My grandfather's best friend was wealthy, but he just dressed looked like my grandfather. And drove an old car. He did travel all over the world all the time. But he just took public transport everywhere.
You're beyond awesome for giving your time, free of charge, to these helpless folks that are so vulnerable. These scumbags are utterly bereft of conscience, honor, and scruples, to say the least. Investing in alternate income streams should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.
You are absolutely right 💯
Am looking for something to venture into on a short term basis, I really need to create an alternate source of income, what do you think I should be buying?
Cryptocurrency investment, but you will need a professional guide on that.

Hey Graham, you've really helped guide my life in the right direction over the years. I started watching your videos a couple of years ago, and you've been such an inspiration.
My bucket list: run into you in person just so I can say “but Graham…”
Buying designer stuff are the biggest trap. I'm glad you started with that one
I never drive my nice car to the office for my employees to see. But my employees drive their new cars to the office.
How nice is the car?
It’s my 2008 Saturn aura. ;)
Your employees probably don’t have multiple cars lol
thats just 20K car... and so poor gas mileage,... and normal prius will be far better... even accord.
We’re waiting.. 😁
If you're caught somewhere in the middle, you can look "expensive" without costing a fortune.
I notice a *MARKED* difference when I am out in public wearing normal shorts and a tee vs gray/black jeans and a button down w/ sleeves rolled up (not designer, just Express)
One fit is about 50$, while the jeans and button down is maybe 130$.
Love your vids man!
Thank you!
Should have been titled "why having options is important"
Looking poor is not a flex
I don’t care for designer brands because I find it silly that they have their logo all over them. However, I found a fake Channel purse at the thrift one day and I bought it as a joke for a friend. But instead, I got the biggest kick out of how people responded to me when I had it on me. The amount of people that gushed over it was hilarious! They treated me very differently because of their impression of what it meant. People are so silly
Am I the only one who thought the b-roll of the protein powder said "pizza dough" 🍕 😂.
Also, pro tip: If you're adding protein to your iced coffee, be sure to add it when the coffee is hot so it breaks down properly, then add your ice.
Thank you for another great video. ☕
I had a super wealthy boss who drive his yellow Bugatti to work once. He never did it again.
I’ve been watching you since 2020 and I just want to say thank you for everything
The best thing about my money is that it is mine. I can spend it how I want, regardless of how Graham feels. Do I wear big logos? No, because I don’t like them. That doesn’t mean my wardrobe is cheap or that I like looking poor.
Well good for you then.
I will spend my money on whatever makes me happy. I love buying name brands and love flying business classes on vacation. Only one life to live. Live it fully.
I agree. It is the option to buy anything I want that makes me happy. I don't buy it, but it's nice to know I can.
Walmart clothes for the win bro. Not all of them, but many. Crazy how some of them last and match brands like North Face in look and finish.
Agreed!!

Most of them!
0:04 good thing being upfront about this in the very beginning. i've seen plenty of these videos lately.
How was your Koi harvesting experience Graham ?

I disagree - money is not best at providing you options. It’s best at allowing you to do good deeds. By doing many good deeds instead of consuming, you get the most value out of money.
