    This short video just saved my husband from buying a new washer! I have a GE GTW750 Top Load washer that we bought in 2018. My tube was blue, so that stumped me at first. But, as soon as I blew through it, it reset the washer back to the "Canceled" mode and it started the humming noise again. But after 4 minutes, it started back on the previous cycle. The problem was it was a full load of towels and when it went back to the original cycle, it filled up the water again and overflowed the washer. Unplugged it, pulled out all the water, and plugged it back in about 15 minutes later and it reset. I was able to start a new load/cycle of towels and it started right up with sensing. Thank you so much!

    I had this washer and it worked so well for me, my clothes came out clean every time and I loved the flexibility it gave me with the water and how I could add more. I sold it because I really wanted a front loader to begin with and because of the money factor I settled for this one but it really was a good machine. Hope your liking yours

    Great video.I blew down the tubing with a mouthful of water then another breath of air to make sure it was clear.I’m guessing the tubing is sensing inches of water in the tub so it would be important to make sure tub is empty when reattaching tubing to circuit board.Ran the Basket Clean after and looks good….Still showing 4,16,18 code after unplugging but I’ll get the full post maintenance testing report from the main operator at some point tomorrow. I rate this a 3 beer job.

      Same for me! Wish I'd known to empty the water from basket first. Went back 10 mins later and water was rushing out from the washer lol. Got all the water out and unplugged it for 15 mins and it reset. Now all is good in the world. Also, my tube was blue, not orange. Mine is a 2018 GE Top Load GTW750 model.

      @@villagehomeservices6019 Hi there - just came across this video - my washer just stopped spinning as well. Mine looks identical to yours. Were you able to fix your problem? Is there a video for a washer that has stopped spinning. I'm getting error codes of 16, 18 and 27 - but I don't know what they mean. I've done what you suggested in this video but with no luck. Any info is appreciated!

      @@rlthornton80 I’m sorry that this happened to you as well. Seems like this model was a wreck from the beginning. Unfortunately I got rid of it and don’t have the user guide any more. I found mine underneath on the left side attached to the side. I would check there first. Then try a search on GE website. My washer worked for a good 6 months then wouldn’t work at all. So I had to replace it. It was only 14 months old and I didn’t buy a warranty. 😩 learned that mistake the hard way. With the quality of units these days you have to budget for a warranty. Free service for 3 visits and after the 3rd visit they will usually replace the unit. I hope you find the j go and let me know what you end up doing.

      @@villagehomeservices6019 Thank you so much for your response! Still no luck on my end with trying to solve the problem myself. I did not purchase the warranty either - I guess that was a mistake. My machine is 3 years old now. • @villagehomeservices6019
      @villagehomeservices6019  2 года назад

      @@rlthornton80 In most cases I recommend start with the repairman to see if he could at least diagnose it for a small fee then go from there but I believe this unit has too many issues to keep paying repair fees every 6 months. Would be better to start new again with a good warranty. These days if it lasts past the 5 year warranty with no problems then you got a good deal. Here in Texas all of our friends are having issues with washers. It’s almost as if they are built not to last 🤔 Hope that helps with your decision. Is there any water remaining in the washer after cycles? I noticed after an odd smell coming from the washer that under the basket if you shake it a bit you can hear water sloshing around... Im not sure if this is normal since it seems to still work or if it's not draining entirely? I tried to run the drain and spin and basket clean several times but there is always water under the basket (you cannot see it over the basket...).

      Michael Taunton. Hi, I don’t have the washer anymore but for the most part the pump is under the washer. Should be right front. I tipped mine back against the wall and was able to take out the 2 screws holding it on. There are some hoses that are held on with clamps that need to be removed. Once that was done there was a lot of sand and debris that came out. Sorry I can’t help you any further and hope you find a video.

      I have experienced this "won't spin" issue also! I have also seen dozens of other users complaining about this on other forums. The reason for this problem is that you have put clothes into the the machine such that it is overloaded and/or the load is badly out-of-balance. I spent an entire day working with all the settings and washing about 7 loads of clothes...... the solution is to PUT FEWER CLOTHES INTO THE WASHER!

    • @villagehomeservices6019

      unplug the unit and let it sit for 10 minutes. Try to check and see what error codes you have and determine if they are related to the tube or not. Yours may be different. In the video I show you how to get to the error codes. Lastly I would try the tube again and if that doesn’t work you may need a professional. I’m sorry I could not be of more help.

    My new GE top loader washing machine is too noisy, what can I do?

    • @villagehomeservices6019
      @villagehomeservices6019  2 года назад

      Make Sure You Aren't Overloading the Washer.
      Assess the Machine's Condition.
      Prevent the Machine from Vibrating. purchase padded feet or a pad to set it on.... for example I am adding a link to check out. (I haven't used this product and cannot verify its quality)
      www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjOuI7gjdb1AhXDFdQBHdiiB6MYABAIGgJvYQ&ae=2&sig=AOD64_2oA_v8JLtpewwVyWg9x3IygXVYqA&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjo2IPgjdb1AhXonGoFHfR3BKgQ9aACegQIARBG&adurl=
      Cover the Machine With Blankets.
      Pad the Sides of the Machine.
      Soundproof the Laundry Room.
      Small loads would be easiest to start with. If you have the ability to return the Washer and replace it with a less noisy model then that might be your only option..
      Hope this helps.
      Mike
