  • In this video I go over how to replace your GE washer's pump. I siphon out all the water, a quick rundown on how to diagnose the problem and then show how to replace the pump. Took less than an hour to fix the problem. Only $40 for the pump and now it works fine.

    This totally helped me fix my machine for only the cost of the pump. I am not a handy person, and this was easy.

    READ ALL the reviews, i saw GE repair saying, unplug for a minute, then lift lid and shut 7 times, it resets the entire system. 3 yrs is what I got out of my same system, I have 5 yr warranty from Lowes, I'll wait and see

    This is the one I used and it's still working. There are other ones on amazon that may be cheaper. If you click on my link here the part number should pop up on the search bar on amazon. Search it and you may find a cheaper one. By clicking on my link and buying it amazon will pay me for making them a sale. Thanks to all that have done this!

    I took my machine apart and looked at the water pump nothing clogged. Put back together. Now it spins out better than ever. Before I took it apart it was full of water and I jiggled the hose and heard a gurgle and the machine spinned out the water. It happened again today when I washed some towels. It filled with water and shut off. Finally got it to turn on after no lights lighting up and I giggled the hose and it started spinning and finished the load. Does anyone know what the problem is?

    Just a question was your pump even trying to work but just made a humming/grinding noise? having that prob with mine but found nothing clogging the pump up.

      I really dont remember. I dont remember hearing a humming sound. I do remember it trying to work and sometimes it did but most of the time it wouldn't. Once I checked it and saw it wasnt clogged thats when I bought the pump.

    Hello I think I have the same problem but cant find for sure answers, my GE top loader will fill and agitate(wash) but when it come to drain and spin the lid locks and nothing happens, I end up having to manually drain the water out. If the drain pump were clogged the water would not drain out correct?

    • @codykingsworld
      @codykingsworld  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah it's either clogged or the drain pump is bad. This video will walk you thru all of that. If you do get a new pump if you use the link in my description I will get 5 percent of the sale.

      Mine was spinning sometimes and other times not so I did the lid lifting a few times and that worked but today it just wouldn't spin no matter what and just hummed. I was getting ready to start dumping water out of the tub and that I would just jiggle the hose and see if that would help and it started spinning ... I'm going to check the hose and water pump because I'm sure that's where the problem is. It's probably a clog. Hope that's it. 😅

      I like GE. There's problems with all of them at times I'm sure. Had a Maytag and it was the worst of them all. The cheaper ones seem to work the best for me. Of course they all cost too much these days.😊

    This washer sucks. I’ve had so many issues with it in the two years we’ve owned it
