This is helpful, I recently got a scout and always paddle out first. But I haven’t launch in rough condition. Do you have a video of how you mount a fish finder?

I do have a video of me mounting my fishfinder. Technically with it mounted all set up. I took a 2 x 4 and cut it to size for my stayby bar, Drilled in some holes to connect it to the bar, and then zip tied my mount for the fishfinder to the word it so I could remove it if needed, and then the fish binder clips on and off. I put my transducer down below on the bottom of the boat, I have tested it out and unfortunately the motor interferes with the transducer giving me false readings so I do need to change it up. I recently ordered a transducer arm that I can hang off the side of the boat. I will try to make a video of that when it comes in. instagram.com/p/CEqKf_GgAeQ/?igshid=bvit5jctywxf that link that I pasted above, that was my original set up

Best Of Magnet Fishing good to know about the interference. I’m going to try the side arm as well. So far the Scout is working out well.

How did you drag your boat into ocean? Do you just drag it?

Correct, just dragged it by the handles. It’s hard once it gets to wet sand as it acts as a suction cup. For times I’m not able to drag it to the sand, I have wheels that I bring with me. It’s essentially like a giant, dolly for the boat rather than the kayak.

New sub here. When did you get the stand up bar for the scout? What company makes them if you did link it sorry I'm new. I like this rig it's way less expensive than the solo Skiff but will be available and will work good on my home waters of Arizona bass lakes and mexicon trips and San Diego inn shore.. thanks for any info subbed your channel too

Also have you seen the Sea Eagle skiffs. Pretty similar to your rig, what's your take versus a comparable Sea Eagle with a Outboard.. thx

Hey there, no worries happy to help, Stevie bar is made by Scout Inflatable‘s, I used to music quite often but now with my newer set up/modification it doesn’t make sense to have one.

I just got back from a trip in Baja with my Scout, absolutely loved it it was a blast I’m currently working on editing that video right now as we speak and it should be up either later tonight or the next morning.
I personally have not used a sea eagle, I have been on a bris, and regarding outboards they handle the same amount of load equally. The bris did have bigger pontoons and wider seat flaps and five chambers total. I have no cons about either. Regarding Fishing home waters in Arizona on lakes or open ocean, they will both suit you well.

Definitely learning and weighing the pros and cons of each rig. Good news is I have plenty of time to figure it out, while I save up some skiff cash plus the outboard etc. Looking forward to the new videos 🙏

I'm thinking now, if the Sea eagle's we're any good you would see them every now and then at the launch in La Jolla..anyways all good I'll be looking into all them. Would just get the solo Skiff for if they were not on back order. Some guy I subbed in AZ drove all the way to Texas from AZ, to get his used solo skiff and traded his pro angler 14. So in not the only dude in Arizona that is looking at a skiff setup hahah.. Tight lines
