I can't wait to hear new stories and new places that you could not even imagine going before! Looks like a great set up Jeff and way to use the cold days to get yourself ready for the summer and all those searches that God sends your way. Mike in sunny Florida

That is such a clean setup. Well done. I especially like that transducer mount. So now that you've had a year to put the gear through its paces how is the Scout holding up? And the Bixpy motor, do you recommend it? Can you tell me what fabric Scout uses on their boats? I have owned two inflatable dingies and a inflatable whitewater kayak, as well as a whitewater raft, all really high end, tough boats and am leary of cheap fabrics. I would recommend a hand pump like the rafters use as they are fast and just keep the foot pump for top offs.

Thanks for the kind words Carl. I fully endorse, not paid, the Scout Inflatable boat if it meets your use case. I have take it on a few adventures on the river, few mile on the lake with scuba and sonar gear and ponds. Its holding up very well. Adventures With Purpose drug the same boat all over the country dong sonar recovery work and proved the durability of the boat. All Scout Inflatable boats are made of the latest generation of PVC 1,100 denier (0.9mm) PVC fabric with polyester support which offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance.ruclips.net/video/WbbxsTUNrGQ/видео.html
As far as the Bixpy electric drive its really a nice unit and was bought before I went full scale with the Yamaha 6 HP out board. However having the electric allow me for operating in the smaller residential ponds and lake that prohibit gas powered propulsion.
The only thing that didn't last long was the basic nylon bag for storing the Scout boat. Not really a big issue after replacing it with the best solution on the market bing the NRS Boat Bag, look it up, its an amazing boat bag made of the same rugged PVC fabric as the boat with breathable mesh ventilation and super size zipper teeth for long time use. They were out of stock on the Large so I got an Extra Large NRS Boat bag and it works well. I think you could get by on the Large. I have zero issues rolling the boat up and getting it in to the NRS sack. I can easily one person place the boat on top of my Subaru flat roof rack and compression strap it down and fly hours down the freeway worry free! The boat stores in my garage so its not getting hammered by the sun all summer long tied up in a lake so it will have quite a life span. If you wind up purchasing a Scout Inflatable from them directly tell Graham I help you out or you can purchase from Jared of Adventures With Purpose.
      Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

@@SeattleRingHunter Thats quite an endorsement and great info. Thanks. I first saw these on the Adventures with Purpose channel. I am looking into all the gear because I would like to locate cars in my area if it can solve some cold cases. I'm wondering what a good bang for the buck sonar might be? I dont want to break the bank but that is the crucial piece of gear needed.

Thanks Allison for the kind words. Yes we are all having a good time watching Jared and Sam cracking some cold case files. I don't have the time to head out across country like these great guys but stay tuned as I have some exciting projects lined up for 2021 here in the Pacific North West! Thanks for the support.
