Do u have wifi in your truck for your iPad to run your eld or its not needed?
Great question! My iPad actually has a cellular connection. If you have a Wi-Fi only version you wouldn’t be able to use is unless you hooked it up to a hotspot.

How long did it take to come in the mail after you purchased it? Also if you don’t mind, because I’m in the market for a eld service, how much does it cost. (Start up and/or monthly charge)
If I recall correctly it took a normal amount of time to arrive, between 3-5 business days.
As far as price it varies. They have different offers where you can get the hardware (ELD, Forward Facing Camera, etc.) for free if you lock in for an extended time period.
I purchased my ELD out right for about $150 I believe, and I pay $44/mo for the service with a 1 yr agreement.

Unfortunately if they request it you have to give it to them. That’s the reason the devices have DOT Mode on them.
Most of the time they’ll just ask you to send them over via email, but occasionally you’ll get that officer that’s extra.
KT/Motive still isn't compliant with Split Sleeper regulations.. it continues to show false violations after the first rest period and does not give you hos clocks back in full after taking the Second rest period. Every time I try to tell their support staff in Pakistan about it it goes absolutely nowhere!! ... I highly recommend against buying the keep trucking system it is horrible and their customer service totally sucks!!
I’m sorry to hear you had that experience. I don’t split log often, but I did use it a few weeks back. Thankfully I didn’t have this same experience.
My only issue regarding the rules/exceptions is the 16 hr exception. I had to use it due to a major traffic jam. I was driving at night, it was just past 11 when I activated it so I had until around 1a until my drive time expired with the exception.
As soon as the clock struck 12 I saw 00:00 blinking red at me saying violation. It scared the hell outta me, so I immediately pulled over to see what was going on.
I had to select the 16 hr exception again and it cleared the violation. I just don’t like the fact that it didn’t automatically carry over to the next day.
