The mags on the pack is a good thing. Esp if your buddies run out of ammo they can grab one from you without you taking your eye off the target. Cool video. Ty for your service as well
Kyser well if you and your buddy are in a firefight and he runs out of ammo, then it’s probably a good idea to let him use your ammo. The reason for this is 2 fold the more people you have shooting on your side the better and why let your buddy have an empty gun during a firefight? That’s like saying “sorry no ammo for you, go die”.
I too have military service from the guard, I actually just got back from a deployment as a scout and went to a certain location I want to keep OPSEC. But it always frustrates me when guys say "being in a militia is so stupid, you need to grow up". Okay well yes the national guard USED to be the militia, but not anymore. I guess technically they are but nonetheless you need citizens to be in a militia. The people are the last line of defense man. If military and law enforcement fail, then we rely on patriots to hold the final line. So yes, train brothers!
PreparedAirman, Did you know that the militia statutes actually detail what equipment a member of the constitutional Militia is required to possess and maintain? Unfortunately, about 99.9% of the population don't want to know the truth of the law in this matter. I have actually read some of the militia statutes, which are incredibly hard to find since neither the pro-2nd groups, nor the State want the People to know the truth. However, the original statutes read something along these lines; a rifle, 1 lb of powder, 20 ball, and accoutrements. Accoutrements would consist of patches, cleaning gear. Some units might have to have a tomahawk, sword, or pistol depending on what your unit was assigned. Of course, those requirements were changed in accordance with what the army would use. Heavy equipment such as cannon would be kept at the militia armory. That's where General Gage's troops were headed on April 19, 1775 when they were faced with Captain John Parker and his 70 militia men. Militia was not voluntary. The statutes were made uniform, after the Constitution was ratified, by the Militia Act of 1792 in accordance with Article I, § 8, Cl. 16. One more point, the National Guard is not Militia, nor can it be. The Constitution forbids this, and if you read U.S. v Miller carefully, Justice McReynolds points out that fact. National Guard are "Troops of War" that the States may keep "in time of Peace", by the consent of congress. However, like I said, no one wants the truth of the matter because it would actually require that the people of the community get up off their butts, and learn skills under the County Commander.
So my kit is way more basic... My “end of the world as we know it”, “red dawn” set-up/plan simply involves surviving long enough to run into someone that knows how to use “ranger beads and a peq15”, while having enough gear and skill to hopefully be an asset and hoping they will know what the hell to do based on the current threat be it the bad aliens or zombies! lol 😂!
Thank you for being in support of us civilians being Minutemen. I think there are significant undertones in the training industry that all a civilian should have is a carry gun, maybe a home defense AR, and a couple magazines for both. I think this comes from proud military guys that think civilians shouldn't have the things they have. We need to support each other. Minutemen are not SEAL's, Marines, or Delta, and we know that.
Great video. I would recommend gloves. I was issued the Wiley-X CAG fire resistant hard knuckle gloves but I prefer the Mechanix Tempest soft knuckled gloves which are leather/nomex and are also fire resistant. I have done everything with those gloves from clearing brush, maintenance on the ship, wrenching on my vehicle and standing security detail. If you mess up your hands it’s not a great time.
I used to run mechanics gloves until i found SKD Pig Alpha gloves. I have been running them for about 5 years now. The Pig Deltas are pretty good aswell.
Thanks for the video! Imma need to make a faraday cage myself, just keep forgetting lol 2 questions. When doubling up the ear protection, can you still hear the "communication" with the Peltors, when people talk? And which radio/PTT do you use with the Peltors as well?
Operationally i use 152s but for training on my own i use a uv5r. They make converters and adapters for it to work. For the first set of ear pro i use Surefire EP4s and i leave the small ear canal caps open it limits noise but still allows me to hear comms and most ambient noise. I only dubble up on ear pro if i know i will be shooting indoors, not when im just at an outdoor range. but thats just me. For the PTT the one i use is no longer made but if your look around and use peltor to uv5r PTT you can find some ranging for 20 to 150 dollars.
I reccommend the TYT TH-UV88 handheld radio instead of the Baofeng. It produces a cleaner signal, and it's priced the same at $30. These have actually gone out of stock several places, but you can still find them on eBay. (Here's an info page: www.buytwowayradios.com/tyt-th-uv88.html) search "TH-UV88" on eBay. Also note that you need your HAM radio license to transmit (and stay out of trouble with the FCC for the time being). It's a $15, 35-question test that local amateur radio clubs administer, so get a group of buddies and go get licensed together: www.arrl.org/find-an-amateur-radio-license-exam-session I would suggest buying a handful of them (3-4) and keeping them around for emergencies. 2-10 miles range, but if you get a repeater set up it'll be even more (a LOT further). Also if you want a higher capacity battery for extended run time, here is the link: www.buytwowayradios.com/tyt-tyt-batt-uv88-hc.html I've been trying to decide which radio to get for a month now, but I've decided and got one of these coming in the mail shortly. They're small (smaller than a new smartphone), capable (5 watts output power and good receiver), and light (under 4 oz). This makes them perfect for putting in any sort of personal carry kit (get home kit, Bug-out-bag, minuteman kit). They also use the popular Kenwood 2-pin connector so you can find any number of adapters and accessories like push-to-talk and headsets if you're into that sort of thing. I highly recommend this radio!
Can I ask why you would put the acog that has ballistics for a 14.5 barrel on a 11.5 and put the red dot on your 16 barrel ? I would swap those optics personally
The 11.5 pistol is pretty much my do everything AR and my Bug out gun. Magnification is vastly superior to non magnification. And I need to transition states loaded legally. Plus a 11.5 has pretty similar ballistics, it's not that far off from 14.5. I still am easily able to make hits on a man sized target at 500m. As for the 14.5 I have, it's a clone of my duty rifle which I had an aimpoint on for a long time so that's where I left it.

Honestly that seems like a tad to much gear to me, mind you I'm looking at this from a militia oriented perspective. A minute mans kit must not only be exceptionally light, but should contain only the bare minimum of kit. Minutemen are the first to respond to a given threat, their job is to get there as soon as possible and then hold the line until backup and supplies can arrive. That being said, a minuteman can expect to be carrying less ammunition than they normally would, less basic kit, fewer rations, if any depending on the distance. Your pack needs to be small and light, and other than a bed roll should contain only the essentials. Minutemen can be said to be the elite within the militia because they are not only the first on scene but almost always outmanned, outgunned, and short on supply.
Ballistic helmets are too heavy while running NVGs. And they honestly only give you protection from shrapnel or lower velocity rounds. Depending on what scenario, task/mission i have the helmet might change but normally I prefer the bump.
I’m nearly right there with you brother. Though I should get a good ballistics helmet and a decent LPVO for my 16” pinned middy instead of the ACSS I currently use.
Have you found a reason use the ar carbine over the pistol in practical application or is the size reduction advantageous enough to leave the carbine behind?
Personally i will probably always choose the ar Pistol due to size and weight and my environment. The only reason i keep the carbine around is because its an exact copy of my active duty rifle so i train with it all the time off duty to be proficient. In my opinion barrel length depends on your environment around you. I live in a neighborhood so i dont really have a need to run a 16+ inch barrel with 77gr rds to touch someone at 650yrds. but you may need that depending on your local atmosphere.
What is the brand of the OCP rain gear? Is it the same as our issued stuff? It appears to be a lighter material. Thanks for the content great to see another SF member into tactical gear!
@Mark 18 Mod O he has vids he will post from time to time, that are archived already, all's he has to do is release one every couple of weeks when he has time, they do have internet service there thru the mil network.
Weight honestly. I run Pvs14 night vision alot. adding the weight of that plus a 2.5 lb ballistic helmet adds up and strains your neck over time. So im opting for a light weight setup. A Ballistic helmet is mainly designed to protect against shrapnel anyways.
I looked at The ops core base jump and the Team wendy exfil. Pretty sure im going with the Team wendy. Due to the replaceable NVG mount and internal pads. www.teamwendy.com/products/helmets-accessories/helmets/exfil-ltp
I don't know about you, but the optic setup on those rifles seems backwards... The ar15 pistol should have the aimpoint and the carbine should have the acog, but to each their own. It is a really nice setup though.
Technically yes they should be swapped but my carbine is a Exact clone of my duty rifle. i do not have an acog on my carbine in the military anymore, just a red dot so i can train off duty more effectively.
I honestly depends on your location and overall what you plan to do with it. If I was back east I would consider a reddot due to the lack of long distance visuals you get and more trees and shrubs. But here in the north west/plains I prefer a magnified optic. It also depends on Night vision set up are you doing house to house stuff or traversing alot of land... normally I would recommend a reddot because they just are awesome but I. The end do what you think is best 😁
PreparedAirman i was looking for my of a general purpose rifle. It wouldn’t really be used indoor as I normally have my shotgun for that. My area has a fairly even split of wide open farm land and somewhat dense forests
@@PreparedAirman Well I think probably all of us who like one of those things probably like the other two, so I wouldn't say that's the coincidence. Its in the works. Im currently deployed out of the country but when i return i have a lot of Shelters, tents, sleeping bags, sleep systems, food, cooking kits, and other things like "sustainment gear" to go over.

Budget and planning, took me a few years lol. But in reality you don't absolutely need them. You can put together a good kit under $1000, rifle and all.
That's a lot of money sitting there. I see fund raisers being carried out by churches an other organizations that are buying body armor for cops. Why not do the same for citizens who can't afford this stuff?
Why would I want to leave my country? Who will take roughly 4.5 million whites? Who else will draw a line in the sand and say so far and no further? Didn't Kennedy say Do not pray for easier times. No lol. The key is training. regardless I go to classes and train myself outside the military. SF is a good start but alot needs to be learned and refined.
5.56 only holds its maximum lethality up to 180M with a 16” barrel. 5.56 does not work to its maximum effort below 2500fps. With a 62 grain shot from an 11.5 you are ballistically putting yourself at a disadvantage right from the start because it can not even shoot 2500fps out of the muzzle. That’s why I roll with 14.5 or 16 inch barrels because I’m in a more heavily wooded area and if I am taking a shot it is within 200M
m855 leaves the barrel of a 11.5 faster then 2500 lol add 250 fps to that #. 10.3 with M855 is 2556 fps avg 11.5 with m855 leaves the barrel at 2773 fps average. 14.5 is 2886 fps average with m855. but DOD says 14.5 with m855 is 2970 fps..
Nice. Really makes me think if a man in the military has this for home we should too.

I will have to check actually i dont know the brand off hand.
Security Forces right?
Strong setup brother...looks good...
this video is one big /gq/ meme.
Security Forces I assume?
Dude I like your style, what is your AFSC, or MOS ?
he's (SF) Bro Security Forces! He's shot, moved, and communicated!!
@@RangersOutdoorAdventures yeah he already got a hold of me
@Mark 18 Mod O , Ah he's deployed overseas right now as we post back an forth, so how is he a poser ?
@Mark 18 Mod O he has vids he will post from time to time, that are archived already, all's he has to do is release one every couple of weeks when he has time, they do have internet service there thru the mil network.
@Mark 18 Mod O , like what , what is setting your sensors off ?
Nice setup bro!
Gunny...did you say these were… Extra?
great videos !!
Can I ask you why you would rather have a bump helmet??? Thanks!!!
Weight honestly. I run Pvs14 night vision alot. adding the weight of that plus a 2.5 lb ballistic helmet adds up and strains your neck over time. So im opting for a light weight setup. A Ballistic helmet is mainly designed to protect against shrapnel anyways.
Thanks for the info and for getting back to me, subscribed!!!
Are you talking about an airsoft type bump helmet?
I looked at The ops core base jump and the Team wendy exfil. Pretty sure im going with the Team wendy. Due to the replaceable NVG mount and internal pads.
www.teamwendy.com/products/helmets-accessories/helmets/exfil-ltp
PROTEC sells bump helmets pretty cheaply. Just search "Protec military helmet"
I suggest the Spiritus systems Micro fight chest rig.
So would you still go with an acog over a red dot. Im kind of torn on wha to run.
My gear bag still has quarters taped together for using payphones.
You do a decent Garand Thumb impression, if that's what this video is meant to be.
I've got that alot lol. It wasn't intended to be the same just coincidence. Both like plad, in the military and have expensive hobbies.
@@PreparedAirman Well I think probably all of us who like one of those things probably like the other two, so I wouldn't say that's the coincidence. Rather, just how the video topics follow a similar trend. Again, I'm not saying y'all are the only two dudes on youtube making videos about "1st, 2nd, 3rd line gear" and so forth, but with everything else taken into account, it's like this: Imagine Travis Haley and Christian Bale made a baby, and the result would be Garand Thumb. Now, imagine Garand Thumb and Lucas combined their loads with a Japanese woman, and the result there would be that Liku kid that TRex brought to the USA. I'm sure you've seen the videos. Now then. Imagine Garand Thumb's videos and Security Forces made a baby.... Don't take this the wrong way dude, because I was Security Forces too ('10-'16, OEF), but that's you. :D ha!
Anyway hoped you laughed because, despite how I'm afraid this sounds, I'm not trolling man, I can't. I was Security Forces too, so these other dawgs may not know what it's like to live in that world of derpitude. Don't worry man, I was as bored as it appears you have been ;D
Lol its always good fun to see travis haley, grandthumb or lucas collab. especially if all three came together! O btw "Stay warm" lol
By SF you mean you are in the Air Force Security Forces right?
didnt u need a shelter, sleeping bag or an insulation mat ?
It's in a different kit that I didn't show here. Snugpak stasha, snugpak special forces bivy, recon 4 sleeping bag and a thermarest mat is what I run.
PreparedAirman so u are a tarp guy :)
i like tents and the Eureka TCOP is my tent.
My isomat is an Exped Downmat 7 and my sleepingbag is a carinthia defence 6
becouse i live in europe and we have cold winters.
thank u 😊
Pig gloves are good. Need night vision but i spend money on ammo instead.
What mag pouches are those for the ar mags?
On my belt they are HSGI tacos and for my plate carrier it is a HSP D3 chest rig with Kydex inserts.
What is the model # of the ACOG?
4x32 TA01NSN

@@PreparedAirman Thanks! Great content. Subbed.
Nice vid brother. Subd. Keep em comin 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Holly molly man sweet gear you got like 20 thousand in gear lol
"Be Prepared" really stuck with me after I became an Eagle Scout lol
Kinda sucks it only takes a 25 cent round to make that irrelevant :/
LoL somebody jealous
Maybe a little lol. I think it's a fair point tho.
There is risk in everything we do. No point in living in fear of that day.
I think the 11.5 is perfect for everything really except 4 out past 250 but to 250 I mean fuck yea perfect gun 0-250
Why do you keep calling the sunflower seed pouch a "dump pouch"?
Its also my tactical snack pouch 😉
Great vid man, just subbed!
Whats was the name of the boots again?
lowa gtx
Pause the video at 15:56, yo is your back ok?
They still make the combat XII pack
They Renamed the company but are still producing the same pack.
You should put some of that tactical thought into your audio also.
Yeah.. priorities lol
I went to school with this fella!!!!!
Great video brother!! Very informative.
How would you put a free float rail on a m4a1?
To free float you would need to take the A2 front sight off by punching the roll pins out (normally 3 of them) and replace it with a low profile gas block. Remove delta right and add your new handguard. I prefer BCM or midwest indistries.
Are you related to garand thumb? You look similar. Yall could be brothers.
lol are hobbies, careers and looks seem to be the roughly the same.
Roses are red violets are blue another settlement needs your help I will mark it on your map
Good killing kit now let's talk everything outside of weapons survival........tent,cold weather clothes food tents tents lol.
Its in the works. Im currently deployed out of the country but when i return i have a lot of Shelters, tents, sleeping bags, sleep systems, food, cooking kits, and other things like "sustainment gear" to go over.
the only night vision i need is my eyes
Where do you keep your steak and champagne? 😂
it’s “manipulate the light”
You held that ar15 pistol incorrectly lol🤷🏻♂️
How are you going to carry all that shit, Batman? Love G-Code. Take a look at the First Spear Strandhogg.
Same way all Soldiers, Airman, Sailors and Marines have been doing for years, on their backs lol. but if you are wanting to know the details of how i do im working on a video about Eberlestock, kelty, soc, rucks and other packs that im using currently and in past deployments.
Cool. I an former Navy -> DSS -> FSO at State. Looking forward to it.
Knife?
ESEE 4 is normally what I run.
@@PreparedAirman thx..great choice
Bayonet
IFAK (individual first aid kit) i got you brother no need to make another video .
Lol, I don't have the money for the higher end optics and lasers you got.
I like they way you think!
21 NWO globalists didn’t like the video ;)
Stay safe
Just a tip, if you want to get as low as possible in a gun fight then try to keep the front of your plate carrier pretty slick.
I agree with you. I am often a team lead/fire team lead in my job so i carry more admin stuff then a normal rifleman would.
I think you may need glasses. That’s a lot of squinting lol
And a wheel barrow to haul it all
I do have to admit that this is one of the nicest setups I've seen
Or two strong boys
says hes good with the M9 lol, pics or it didnt happen..

Any Minutemen in the US want to help a few White guys out in South Africa?
I'm a brownie in Los Angeles. Got an email address? Myself and a few peeps wanna help out the farmers, etc.
On deck brother, you need plane tickets
Why would I want to leave my country? Who will take roughly 4.5 million whites? Who else will draw a line in the sand and say so far and no further? Didn't Kennedy say Do not pray for easier times. Pray to be stronger men? Many cant leave. Who helps them? This is just as much as my Country as the now far left anti white ANC and its hangers on like the EFF say it isnt. None of us wish for a crashed economy and likely a looming war over land taken. But, our Government has set us on this path when they said land taken from whites is just. Many many years ago before my time. We sung Ons Vir Jou Suid Afrika. Which is We for you South Africa. I will die here. We will die here. ruclips.net/video/ZLgjTKf_ZfI/видео.html@@americanwarrior7253
We don't care about Race. We care about people losing their homes and land over the fact they now "White". Our constitution adopted in 94 was made up to stop people having their property taken. Now they want to change the constitution. We shifted from Aparthied-white versus black to now a growing back versus white. People are prepping in secret to pull out of the big cities if it goes tits up. Again none of us pray for War. But imagine if after everything that has happened in the US all of a sudden Native Americans say all your land and assets will soon be taken away if you not native American. Do you think people will accept that? graemetgd@gmail.com @@Carlos-Dangerous

Well what is made in the USA ? Not a lot.black hawk,Eagle last i checked was made in china.
implying security forces are prepared to be minuteman?
No lol. The key is training. regardless I go to classes and train myself outside the military. SF is a good start but alot needs to be learned and refined.
Not Living in a population dense Suburban area ? Walking the dog or picking up kids or shopping you will not attract attention.
Nice Gucci.
Everyone has a different environment and a different opinion.
m855 leaves the barrel of a 11.5 faster then 2500 lol add 250 fps to that #.
10.3 with M855 is 2556 fps avg
11.5 with m855 leaves the barrel
at 2773 fps average.
14.5 is 2886 fps average with m855. but DOD says 14.5 with m855 is 2970 fps..
