That's a good thing when a man can admit when he's nervous or scared about something instead of the "macho" syndrome and totally messing up😊🤗👍🏾👍🏾. You both did a great job.
Ted is one of the most humble people I know. Not afraid to show emotions, admit when he’s wrong or nervous about something! I agree it’s a great quality and something I deeply admire about him!
i love saving old things like those cabinets, they are probably older than both of you and look at how well they have held up, the press board stuff of today will last maybe 20 years before it falls apart, repurposing stuff like this is very cool, the place we got in Idaho the door knobs are glass that looks like a crystal they look cool, all brass mechanisms with the glass knobs, if i could guess they are from around 1890 to about 1910 for their manufacture date year
Heck yes! They're almost double our age! And they are definitely not perfect. They still have some rust spots, dings and dents, but for how old they are, they have definitely held up great! Love those glass door knobs! So so cool!
Great job on priming the cabinets. But! the puppies were the best. We've got a female toy Austrian Shepard that we're going to breed in the near future, can't wait. Looking forward to seeing the color of the cabinets and there install. Blessings!
Thank you, Ron! Haha yes the pups were so much fun! Breeding her will be so rewarding! We loved it, but it was A LOT of work by the time the pups got to be 4-5 weeks! Let us know wha you think of the color we picked for the cabinets!
awesome looks great yaal. I shouldve invested in a sprayer when did my parents kitchen cabinets last month.... weeks of slow pain lol. If you havent, please get some fanned ventilation going out the windows in that basement! And even the second person, the helper should have a respirator, for your health and safety. Great job and excited to see more!
The sprayer was a big investment but one million percent worth it for the time we’ve saved by using it! We have many more projects in mind for it! None of the windows open up in the basement unfortunately, but we both definitely had respirators on! ☺️
I really like the metal cabinets because my grandma had these in her home and now aunt and uncle have her house after she pass and we redid the cabinets and they awesome
Cabinets look great. Thanks for including the link to the paint sprayer 😊 Great idea with the PVC seed planting hootis!! Will definitely be using that contraption next year!! Mike
Thanks so much, Mike! And no problem at all! The sprayer has been great for us and a HUGE time saver for the jobs we’ve used it on. Lol and yesss! The seed planting hootis 🤣 time and back saver!
Haha Ted has a way of making everything look easy! I say that to him all the time! And thank you! The pups are adorable but we're about to be VERY busy once they start running around!!
Yes the floating dock turned out great and the best part: it was all recycled materials and didn't cost us a dime! We just learned that planting hack this year, and it worked great!
I was about to holler at ya'll for making me wait to see the cabinet color... _but thennnn_ ... PUPPIES!!!! Oh my goodness!!!! 🥰😍🥰 Did ya'll know she was expecting? Do you breed? You had that brood box ready for her pretty quickly! 19 hours later? That's crazy! Imagine going to the doctors and being told you're going to have a baby in about a week, and less than 24 hours later you have a baby! 🤯
We knew she was pregnant and expecting because we did breed her with a friends male golden because we both wanted puppies from our own dogs. We definitely were NOT expecting the pups until the following week (as the vet suspected, too!) but it was a welcome surprise! We set up the whelping box to get Wilho used to it and comfortable with it! Luckily we did it so early!! As for my human babies- CJ was 3 weeks early and Finley was 2 weeks early! CJ’s story is quite funny/crazy/scary!
great job on scoring these then cleaning and refurbing in great colour prep and set up takes time then having your worked out system both does a great job and also ensuring confidence. as for your kids and dogs what a massive blessing indeed. dont forget giving the doggy dad love to.
Yes! Thank you… we’re excited to see how the cabinets turn out! Mama and pups are still doing well! We don’t have the puppies dad, but our other boy, Huck, is still getting lots of love and attention!
This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. What a great score on the additional cabinets. I plan to try out the pvc pipe seeder next year. The Almelund Pinecone
Awe! Thank you, Katie (one of our favorite pinecones!!) That means so much to Ted and me! YES! We are so excited to have some extra cabinets! Lots of room in that kitchen! The seeder works great! See ya on the next one! 🌲
When painting or priming cab it’s it is best to do them all at once. You may paint heavier or lighter the second or third day and when they dry you could see the difference. Inside verses outside can be dun separate days as you don’t see them together.
Great job priming the cabinets y’all!!! And I just loved how adorable Ted and Finley were at the vet together waiting to here about how your sweet mama was doing 🥰🥰🥰 congratulations on the cute puppies!!!
@@TheLiFeInPines the nervous foot shake was definitely adorable 🥰 and I’ve loved seeing glimpses of the puppies in the other videos! Especially with Finley and Ladley!!!
My uncle had all metal cabinets in his kitchen…his house was built in 1889. When he updated he purchased the kitchen cabinet set from the Sears catalog and he saved everything including the catalog he had purchased from which was in one of the drawers still. When he passed the house was demolished. The walls were extremely thin with cracks in the plaster and the upstairs bedroom had a hole in the roof that you could see the sky. I miss his stories that he would tell; he would tell them in a way that gave such visuality… Seeing all your metal cabinets brought back memories and I did try to remove them but was unsuccessful due to the adhesive used and the counter tops were grouted tiles that were pale yellow with light blue edges. I ended up breaking part of the tiles trying to get them out. I did get my sons to help get the farmhouse sink out which I think is white enameled cast iron and I think it weighed 300 pounds!…huge and deep. Been sitting in my backyard for 7 years now..but planning on putting it in a greenhouse/potting shed combo. We have most of the supplies but doing the foundation is the most important step. Waiting on my sons as 1 of them does concrete for a living and the other is a roofer. Mostly schedules lining up and new grand babies❤ are priority 😊
These metal cabinets are such a nice product! We wonder why they ever went “out of style”. Such fun memories you have connected to them. Those farm house sinks are sooo heavy! We actually couldn’t find one to replace the original one (it was it pretty rough shape) so we had to go with a lightweight acrylic. It does look really nice, but just not the same as the good ol cast iron ones! We know all about being busy with kids! It’s always go go go! Hopefully soon you can get everyone together and get a couple projects done! Would love to see that sink reused somehow! We appreciate you commenting on our video and we hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!🌲❤️😊
They WOULD love Alaska! Both of our Goldens love the cold and snow. Where in Alaska are you? Ted and I have been wanting to visit for years! We're hoping this year is our year... for our 15 year anniversary!
