Gosh I keep begging Cody for a puppy 😭😭 so stinkin cute!!! I just love how this home is turning out and the overall style. And we totally understand little bumps in the road. All that matters is you guys are pushing through. The love between you guys is truly inspiring.
Thank you so much, Summer! You and Cody were a big part of the reason we started this whole journey, and we continue to be inspired by your perseverance and determination with your build!
Jenna love @ home editing with pups😅! The sink looks fabulous! Thank you both for praying again.. it is important to show other’s how important prayer is in a family not just in a building! God Bless you both for doing the kitchen correctly despite having to go in reverse! Just Love how Real & Honest you both are! ❤🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
I was easily distracted by all their cuteness!! And you’re exactly right! Prayer is for everywhere, all the time, because we have an omniscient, always present God who cares and is waiting for us to commune with Him. Lol, just one small hiccup that was actually a blessing in disguise! God bless! Have a great week!
Funny, this is the first time i see a floating sauna🙂. Sometime thing go not so you want. then you tomorrow a new day. Stay safe and healthy. Greetings from Netherland.
You two are such a breathe of fresh air. I really like the the antique style sink you chose. Very fitting and despite my skepticism, that kitchen is looking fantastic! Am jealous of your floating steam shed though.
Awe thank you! Ted and I appreciate that. Yes! It looks almost exactly like the double drain board that was there originally! She was spendy, but I love that it just keeps with the 1950’s era cabinets. It’s a vintage kitchen with a modern twist. Lol we both got a laugh out of “floating steam shed!” Love it! That’s what happens when you marry a Finlander, I suppose. You get portable, floatable, wood fired “steam shed!” Haha so great! We do love it!
Ughhh I just can't with those puppies!!!! 😍🥰😍 Great "editing" work, Jenna! 😆 I'd say the cabinet situation was a blessing in disguise! Considering the need for a longer cure time, anyway. 😉
I know. They are so stinking cute and are growing so fast! Our time with them has zipped by! And thank you! 😜😜 “Editing” a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it… but seriously it’s hard to get anything done with their perpetual cuteness, puppy breath and never ending kisses! And I agree. We really should’ve just waited to do the rest of the kitchen- but it was so hard to stop! When we walked in that day i was just looking around and thought. “Ok hold on- we need to back it up for a sec and get these done!” But never would’ve thought they’d need more cure time than 30 days! Makes sense with the heat and humidity, though!
Ahhh that sauna… I almost could feel that sensation of going from the steamy sauna into the cool lake. ❤ Sorry you had some weird setbacks. I guess it’s a good thing you sidestepped the sealing for so long and got the advice to let it cure a bit longer. God bless your project house and family!
Love the sink!!! And I’m glad y’all found out about the proper curing times before sealing! Y’all are still making great progress even if you didn’t get done what you wanted to and sometimes taking a much needed break in the sauna is more important! ❤
Thank you! So glad we went with the original “look” sink! She cost us a pretty penny, but it was worth it! Just hope it holds up! And thank you, we have to remind ourselves of that exact thing sometimes! We’re still getting so much done! And yes- the sauna truly was exactly what we needed to treat what ailed us!
Puppies! I'm gonna miss the puppies. That kitchen sink is awesome and that counter top looks great. When thing don't go as planned I say God's time not mine. What a great ending to the video. I love your floating sauna.
We’re going to miss them, too! Only a few more days with them! 🥺 Thank you! We love how it’s all turning out, too! And you’re so right… always Gods timing. Our humanness always wants to rush! There’s truly nothing like that sauna experience. Try as I might, the video just doesn’t do it justice. ☺️
yay i wake up to a post notification of a new vid from yall, i got a cup of coffee and inspiration to go do something productive today, living in a camp trailer is ok as the view here is fantastic no matter where we are, however the cabin is calling me to go get this started, the wood cookstove we got is absolutely beautiful, at 6:23 I love the sink as it still retains that nostalgic look of the cabinets, the modification of the Allen wrench at 12:21 to make life easier is just one of those cookies in your life jar of actual experience of doing it on your own, and learning, Monday we have a contractor coming in to build a shop/hangar for the heli and other stuff, its odd for us here as it is the first time in our lives that all of our belongings are in 1 place, we did find an old glass jar from 1898 when the foundation was made for the cabin that has coins, a letter that my great great grandfather put in as a time capsule describing life at the time, we are going to add our story to this capsule along with some coins as well, then put it back, we are soo happy to be here, we will share with you our progress if you wish, take care and god bless you
Awe we’re so happy we were able to provide some inspiration while you were enjoying your morning cup of coffee! Yes! We thought about modifying that cabinet to fit a traditional sink, but we’re so glad we went with the “original looking” double drain board instead! Ok that is sooo neat that you found that time capsule and what a good idea to add some items from todays era!
If you have fallow areas in the garden, cover them with thick black plastic and hold it down. It will be weed free for the next crop (mostly) if it stays covered for 6 weeks or more.
We have a friend who rotates his garden every year with a similar method! We might have to try this! Weeding the garden can be rewarding but also overwhelming at times! 😂
Good Morning Guys, Great to see you everything is looking so good, can’t wait to someday having a chance to live out my Dreams, God Bless your Alaskan Brother from another mother ❤️🙏🏻looks so beautiful out on the lake
Thanks so much! Your day will come! Sometimes it’s just looking at your life with a different perspective! To someone- you may be living out their dream! Have a blessed week! ☺️

Great video guys, just a-shame after all the work of installing the cabinets the sealer did not get applied. Nothing like taking 10 steps forward and fifty back, but hey you will get them sealed now for sure. The sink looks awesome after a few modifications. I did notice when Ted was installing the floor piece for separation that the baseboard trim was not installed just wondering if Ted realized that after drilling holes in the floor to fit that piece .Glad you both got some me time out on the lake .
Eh… it’s alright! We’ll remember this for next time!! He installed the transitions, so there will be door frames there, which he plans to put over the transition. He can cut it if he needs to though!
The sink is perfect for the kitchen looks great. I also think you do a great job editing you put a lot of great content in each video. How soon till honey harvest? 😊
Thank you! We’re so glad we went with the vintage style sink that was original to those cabinets! (This one is reinforced cast acrylic!) Awe thank you! I appreciate that so much! Editing always seems like such a big undertaking each week, but the end result is worth it! Honey harvest is in the fall! September or October depending on the weather!
