Shame you never did any more. People would love it. You have to listen to Tout l'univers by Gjon's Tears for Switzerland. He came third and won the jury vote. His voice will blow you away!
On 9th of July there was a singer from 15 years old that do also the song Voila. Maybe you can see that one. It's Emma Kok ft André Rieu - Voila. The voice from that little girl is very beautyfull.
In short, she's basically singing about her insecurities and her want to seen, heard and loved despite all these. Voila (in this case) literally means "this is me/here I am". 😊😊😊
She's a wonderful singer ! First time I heard her ! So talented and emotional ! I'll follow up with more songs now ! Your comments and analysis were spot on as usual ! You have a talent for understanding vocal techniques and nuances ! It's appreciated and I applaud you ! Thank you for introducing this talented singer to us ! By the way I love your glasses ! They just enhance your beautiful eyes and smile ! Keep posting sweetheart and have a fabulous weekend ! 👍🤗🇨🇦🇨🇦♥️♥️♥️
I'm so glad you took the time to react to my absolute favorite Eurovision performance ever. Your explanation of what's going on in this song vocal-wise really helped me appreciate this performance even more!
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the video. It was really nice! I would reccoment to look at Go_A "Shum" from Ukrain. She uses a ancient slavic singing technique and the song is really cool, too!
She was definitely my favorite, I honestly don't think anything else could ever top this performance. So incredibly beautiful, so emotional, so magical 💕 Please react to some more of Barbara's songs if you ever find the time :)
Barabara reminds me to Edith Piaf, great performance, very nice voice. I love Your reaction to this great song with interesting aspects to have a closer listening to. Thanks Jen.
Not sure if you have heard or reacted to Gjon Tears - Tout l’Univers, but he was the Swizz entry and it is also a beautiful song and incredibly well performed during the live grande final.
excuse me Jennifer, again about the reaction to 'Voilá' de Barbara Pravi... as an exemple, we cannot react to a song from Edith Piaf without including the interpretation... as a voice, nowadays she would be a very common singer... what makes her unique is the interpretation of the text... My apologies for insisting... i am sure that if you study the letter of the song and her interpretation of it, you will love this song a lot more... Kind regards Mário
I'm curious what you think as a MT voice teacher of Barbara's preference for emotion over technique here. There are quite a few moments where she misses notes, her vibrato is unstable, her voice breaks, etc. but it works because of the emotional intensity, and there are other parts where we can clearly tell she's a good singer. But I can't help feeling that if I sacrificed that much technique for emotion in, say, an audition, I'd be ripped to shreds. When do you suggest going all out?
It’s definitely a balance that we’re after! So much of the song is delivery so sometimes cracks and flips happen because we feel the emotion of the song. Technique should always been there though so it’s about training both sides and not leaving one out 😊
This was a very interesting video to follow, I loved France this year! Personal favourite as a singer was definitely Switzerland but a more fun one to look at might be Ukraine, it's a bit unique.
I LOH OH OOVE EUROVISION SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you wanted to know
This was the first video I've seen from you and really like it, so I'm subscribing to you now :D could you also do a reaction to je me Casse from the ESC? I love the input you give to the performances :D keep on the good work👍
🧡 She's an incredible singer! I've seen the movie Eurovision with Will Ferrell but not the actual show. Nice glasses! They do have a little reflection when you turn and face the camera but when you're facing your computer, it doesn't really show that much. Did you started wearing them recently or did you always wore them before.
Your comments are so accurate and to the point. Great work👌👌👌. Could you also react to the greek entry this year?? Its Stefania with Last Dance. ❤❤Thank you!!❤
Hi Jennifer, Firstly let me tell you that i have been following your reactions to Dimash and i find them extremely good, i think i have seen them all and thouroughly enjoy them. Please do another reaction on this song from Barbara Pravi, 'Voilá", but based mostly on interpretation, because this song has an amazing text and she interprects it uniquely, i think it is actually a master piece of interpretation... the diction and the timing of the diction and the difference intensities to express the feeling of the text at each moment... Thank you, i will be looking for your reaction with a different perspective... Mario
Nobody will never sing it better than Barbara Pravi... Emma Kok has a stunning voice but Barbara, really has something. As i think this song is not just about vocals. And Barbara sings it with all her soul...it's a real performance. And as someone who understands and speaks French Fluently. It really has something, Emma's cover will never have. I Can't really explain but that's what i think.
How odd, my comment just disappeared...Oh well, try#2 --> Barbara Pravi also does a very good cover of the Big Flo and Oli hit "Dommage"... If the time comes when you need a bit of French Hip Hop :-)
Thanks for watching my reaction to Barbara Pravi performing Voila at the Eurovision Grand Final! Let me know what your favourite performance was! X

This was the first Eurovision song in like 10 years that I really liked.
In short, she's basically singing about her insecurities and her want to seen, heard and loved despite all these.
Voila (in this case) literally means "this is me/here I am". 😊😊😊
Ah so beautiful!!
I like to say that the message of the song is "Take me as I am, because it's all I have."
Aren't we all😶
She is singing from her heart and soul, and I love the glasses Jenn❤😁
So lovely! Ah thank you!!
The pronunciation of "Pravi" is actually pretty good ahah !
She did an awesome job with her song, so proud of her!
Ah thanks! Yes, she did 😁
I've been watching Eurovision every year since 2003 and this year was my favorite one ever!

Hi Jennifer, Emma Kok is definitely you have to watch, uit Nederland! Met Voila, véél mooier dan Barbara Pravi!
Don't take it otherwise, but it's better to let the song finish and then comment. Completely ruins it for me...
sooooo jealous.......
Bella voce! Il brano è di una noia mortale.. Voilà.. Voilà.. Voilà.... Brutta imitazione di Edith Piaf.
ascolta la stessa canzone cantata da emma kok
