    I'm a professional residential painter and have used many handheld sprayers, some worked well, most didn't, when it came to spraying un-thinned latex. I've found with this sprayer on high you will get a lot of paint dust in the air, which it will do on lower settings as well but not as bad, so using a mask is important, as well as covering what you don't want dust all over if painting indoors. Also, the tip will spit as you demonstrated at the end if you don't clean it off right away before you set it down for more than about a minute. It does spray well straight up or down as long as the intake tube is in the right position and the can is fairly full, but I wouldn't recommend it for painting ceilings if that's what someone has in mind. All in all for a handheld it's the best one I've used so far of this type for spraying un-thinned material.

    I recommend ProClassic Modified Acrylic or oil (not latex) thinned 5-10% with Fine Finish head for cabinets

    Informative review. Thank you. I bought two kits plus the fine finish head on what I believe is a close of the product line since spare parts and accessories are hard to find. Hope I don't kick myself for not buying a Graco.

    When air spraying semi latex I always use floetrol latex paint additive to help eliminate orange peel finish. The paint flows better and smoother.

    On sale at Home Depot for 99.00. Of course I bought one. Just finished spraying a window box outdoors with a solid stain. I did see an orange peel effect, but I don't actually know what I'm doing yet, so maybe that's me. Easy to hold and fairly easy to clean if I got right to it. I'm hoping this will be a valuable addition to my handyman business.
    I looked at a Titan product after using their awesome heat gun.

    What’s a good setting to use to spray cabinets

    Also spray close only 4" away. That dust may be dryspray

    Would the fine finish head be able to spray automotive 2k paint? Anyone tried this? Thinking about using this to spray bumper cover on car.

    good video on this sprayer. thinking about getting this for spraying semi-gloss latex on doors, jambs, and casings. would you do this with the fine finish head or stick to the standard head?

    • @sprayman4359
      @sprayman4359  8 лет назад +1

      I don't think so. The standard head should work for basic doors and trim. I would get the fine finish head if you're planning on spraying cabinets or furniture.

    I had this unit for 1 year sprayed few times and every time would give you orange peel effect regardless how you adjust and how much you thin the paint , waste of money , went with airless cordless from graco and I’ve mastered a glass finish results with their fine finishing tips , I enjoy painting with the airless

    Spray man, I'm using the Flex Finish head with Proclassic Semi Gloss for my kitchen cabinets and I'm experiencing what I would describe as a 'dusty' look in streaks on my cabinets. Overall, it's got good coverage but if you look at it from the side (and catch the right light) you can see the 'dust'. I am spraying the same direction (left to right) each time and yet am still seeing this on the final coat. It's driving me crazy -- I cant figure out how to fix it. Any ideas for me?

    At the point of demonstration of how to clean the unit, the viewer cannot see what you're showing in the video.

    Just used mine...and Love it....Is it normal to heat up .....Normal?? Thank you

    • @sprayman4359
      @sprayman4359  7 лет назад

      Yes it is normal to heat up, but if you hold the gun gun close 3-4" it shouldn't make a difference in the finish.

    I just bought one. It doesn't spray worth a shit! tried spraying latex enamel, with floetrol added. All it did was spit orange peel. No matter what settings I used. I ordered the fine finish head. Hopefully it works with stain and clear or its going back. I've been a painter for 20 years so I'm not some dumbass homeowner. A friend of mine owns one of these as well. Said his does the same thing. So either it's hit and miss as to whether or not you get a good one, or its just a shitty design.

      Scott Miller you have to clear the tip and attach everything right and tight. That annoyed me too but got the hang of it

    Bought this thing and wasn't impressed. Squirted paint instead of spraying, oozed out and spent more time cleaning this unit than actually painting. Not worth the $440.00

      Sounds like you need to troubleshoot: try increasing air, decreasing material flow, or thinning the material. This sprayer works awesome when used correctly!

      Tried all of that already. Unit was returned and exchanged for another, old sprayer had a missing seal.
