Yes, I’m notice a lot of these channels too. Too woke or disliking this or that… Mike gives everything a chance. Even when he doesn’t like something, he will offer alternative titles to read rather than dedicate videos on hating stuff.

Absolute Power was really great. Cant agree more. It feels like it has some weight to this event. Built on the backs of years worth of build up and DC events. Ill continue to have high expectations for Absolute Power
I also found Free Agents all over the place. Had no idea what was going on. Absolute Power on the other hand, was amazing. Some really high stakes and a killer twist. Seems like it's going to be a cool event.
Hey Mike! 100% agree with you that us indie publishers really need to focus on character development first. It’s practically my mantra! It’s like building a house, you gotta build a solid foundation first and foremost. And I’m all for Absolute Power, even though I have a little Waller fatigue.
Spider man reign 2 reigns supreme this week for me. I disagreed with you (which is totally fine) for me the comic was an A- I would’ve gone A+ but like you said the time travel thing kind of put me off. And also the ending of the comic I felt could have built a bit more excitement for the next one? I had no expectations for it so for me it kind of surprised me how good it was. Anyway thanks as always for the reviews!
ASM Annual worthy?? How cool is that?!? Glad to hear it. ASM needs more fun stories with cool action and stuff, so I regard it as a pleasant surprise. "Wolverine: Deep Cut" looks pretty good. I will be checking that out for sure. For me, no one writes Logan or Creed as well as Claremont. Wow... considering Spidey is your favorite and you buy most every book he's in, I'm surprised you didn't read "Spider-man: Reign" already. Cool you enjoyed "Reign 2" even without reading the first part. No events or Waid for me, so I'm not reading "Absolute Power". Thanks for the recommendation, though! Yeah Sebastian when it comes to Spidey I never read the First Spider-Man Reign I think it was a period I was not reading comics or just missed out on it. So yeah if your a fan of Clermont check out the Wolverine book I think you will love it.
I enjoyed Deep Cut, I mean I skipped Sabertooth War and based on what you said I am glad I did. I mean it's Chris Clairmont and Wolverine's Revenge by Jonathan Hickman I am expecting great things from as well. I do agree about Absolute Power #1 best read of the week for me this week.

I felt like Free Agents should have been given the Rook:Exodus treatment where it built up the storyline and then fed us new characters over 3 issues... this felt like we got issue #3 instead of issue #1 . Was the equivalent of an action sequence from a random dream written down.
Rook Exodus is amazing! Free Agents may get better, but I agree the first issue felt overwhelming. I really liked the Psylocke Blood Hunt comic. It barely tied into Blood Hunt and definitely isn't essential reading, but I thought it was just a fun story. Of course, I'm biased, because I really like Japanese history and lore, so seeing her battle the Slit-Mouthed Woman and other yokai was neat.

I wish marvel and DC would leave the time travel and alternate universes alone for a while. Give me a story where the “multiverse” is taken out of play for some reason
Mike, you need to do a follow up video on the cutting pull lists stuff. I’ll post on the FB group, but by cutting my pull list I was able to get some major keys.
Absolute Power was great. Batman 150 was terrible. The first story felt like a throwaway annual or random anthology story. I loved 149. Zdarsky's run has been really inconsistent for me.
That issue #0 of Moon Knight wasn't supposed to be released until next week. For some odd reason, just the Secret variant was to be released this week instead. Cover A comes out next week.
You're kind of right. The secret variant was supposed to be released last week and the regular this week. The plan was to surprise retailers with the secret variant, then have them immediately order copies of the regular for on sale 7/3. However they messed up twice: first most stores didn't get the secret variant last week and only found out about the new series when Marvel put out it's press release. 2nd. they didn't factor in things like store locations, the upcoming holiday, etc, and since the ordering window was so small, a lot of stores aren't getting it until next week. But the original on sale date of 7/3 never changed.
Mike is Absolute Power going to be a stand alone book or in the future you have to buy tie ins like Marvel does to get more money out of our pockets Great video. Can you take the humidity that’s in PA now back with you to Sanford? This is ugly like me playing tennis. Lol
There are Tie Ins to this event however I do not think there are a ton of them like Blood Hunt from Marvel OMG the humidity here right now is like 100%

Werewolf By Night was a total turd. One of the worst comics I’ve read this year. I’m sincerely hoping the upcoming series is absolutely nothing like this stinker.

Annihilation 2099 was actually really good for what it is. Excited to see the other stories as well as the new conquest 2099 event
I was excited for werewolf by night and it was a let down. Totally agree what you said, only two pages of werewolf action is crazy.
Tell me about it. It's like going to a comic shop and they only have 2 comics in the whole shop LOL 🤣

You should totally read Spiderman Reign. It’s fantastic and I feel like it will add to your enjoyment of Reign 2.

At a cover glance I thought Spidey was going against the Green Lanterns.

Not a fan of Amanda Waller, but you can’t deny a great story & art. Absolute Power is worth reading IMO
