I loved this series. Mostly for the Jerry Ordway artwork, but the costume design was really eye-catching. That cover was outstanding.

Such a great book. I wonder if Ordway did a full Trade paperback collection of this first run. 🤔

Jumpstart was meant to be Wildstar's daughter.
Such a pity Ordway bailed from this character after the first series. Apparently Michael Tierney attempted to launch a lawsuit against Image over the name, and while it never went anywhere, Jerry walked from Gordon, refusing to work on the title further.

@@Pork_Hunt didn't know about the lawsuit. That's a shame. But Jumpstart was supposed to be Wildstars daughter??? That's confusing as hell since she sounds like she's hitting on him all the time.

@@Ghost_Girl_Bob Ordway’s original design for Jumpstart was published in Modern Masters Volume 13: Jerry Ordway from TwoMorrow Publishing, and the really interesting things is that there’s a note on it that reads “streak in roots of blonde hair (like father)”.
It would explain why, even though Jumpstart is an enemy, she keeps helping him. If that’s the case, though, the fact that she’s also shown acting sexually aggressive towards him is a huge red flag! I suppose Jumpstart’s backstory is one of the many things Gordon had worked out that he never had the opportunity to explain in the published stories.
