yeah, this century blows so hard. It's hard to tell where Malcolm ends and Angus starts because when Angus is playing on his own, he seems to have his sound set to play the piercing leads, but Malcolm does seem to have the wall of sound going on, in which case his sound is def huge.
I love playing all the rhythms to their songs. Their so fun to play. It makes you move around and headbang like Angus. It just happens. Even though Malcolm never went crazy like Angus.
My previously favorite under hour show was Queen at live Aid. Angus might quite be the finest guitarist/performer ever! This should have been If You Want Blood's release.

But if you like this era better, knock yourself out.
"I tell you folks, it's harder than it looks" - genius. But I agree, young men these days, they don't know what they're missing. They've been neutered.
We were spoilt growing up watching them in Australia. Always loved them in the Bon Scott era. Watching them 50 odd years later as I grow older, I can’t believe just how good they really were. The more I watch, the more I’m in awe.
blew my mind little American mind seeing them on The Midnight Special about this time and I've been a fan ever since (Bon era) Angus is great however Malcolm was an absolute RIPPER and may he rock in peace ✌️
I saw them on on this tour 24th May at the Plymouth Metro, a relatively small club with a capacity of around 500. I was right at the front six feet from Angus most of the time. It remains to this day the best gig I have ever been to and I've been to a few. They were on top of their game and tight AF. I was 16 then, I'm 60 soon. The opening riff of Riff Raff was LOUD and I remember thinking it's gonna get way louder in a minute. It did. What an opener. Utterly phenomenal. It was so loud my clothes moved around on my body & my ears rang for a week. I'm sure it did some damage, bands just don't play that loud anymore. We got there early and helped the roadies set up - Angus popped in late afternoon for a soundcheck and quick noodle on his guitar then was driven off at speed in a tuned Ford Granada. It seems an age ago.
This sounds like a dream . The perfect era of AC/DC too . They were raging in 77 and 78 . Such a great story man .As a fan who was at this show , how was watching them explode with back in black and their evolution til or ? Have you followed each album after and how do you feel about the evolution?
God, this is just so, so good. Absolutely no holds barred, kicked in the teeth Rock and roll. So pure, so elemental, so direct and so urgent. Truly this band in their live prime. This is the real fucking deal, and simply can't be matched. As good as it gets.
Just watched this again. It has to be one of THE best gigs ever. They were on fire and so f*cking tight. What a lot of folks don’t realise is how hard that is to achieve. It’s not just heavy, it’s musically brilliant. The song arrangements are so clever. RIP Bon and Malcolm.
There have been many ACDC shows from the 77,78,79 Era release in the last 20 years. I love being able to play them and feel like I'm at the concert. Long live rock n roll❤
What people also don't realise is how essential Phil Rudd was. They sucked when he wasn't in the band and back to something like themselves when he returned. It's the drag... he hits ever so slightly behind Malcolm and Angus causing the guitar sound to sound even more driving than it already is. Awesome drummer.
1978/79. Acdc was by a million miles, the best band on the planet. Even now, almost 42 years later, I'm thinking about "what might have been" with Bon at the helm. No disrespect to Brian, he came in and did an amazing job, but to me Bon WAS AC/DC. Ride on Bonny
I saw AC/DC twice - once with Bon, once with Brian. Hated Brian, he doesn't sing - just screams. The Bon show was a Xmas special at Birmingham Odeon, where they had two strippers!
Their live performances had a different type of energy, but during that time frame Van Halen was every bit AC/DC's equal as a live band. The two were without equal as live bands in 78/79.
The reality is that Bon was getting to the stage where AC/DC we’re getting to restrictive when he passed away. Had he lived he would probably have left within a couple of years and gone on to greater things. We should all thank Brian for keeping the band together using a live set that is predominately Bon Scott tunes
@@mifune9634 Totally agreed. Both bands carried the rock flame in the midst of disco and punk. And re-energised it as well. Most of the 80s hard rock bands had a little bit of AC/DC and Van Halen influence in their sound.
When I saw this Aerosmith tour at the Long Beach Arena in 1978, these boys came out without being listed on the billing and no one knew who they were because it was their first big tour as the opening act. I had floor seats and Angus was carried through the floor area crowd on a roadies shoulders, splashing sweat on us. They kicked serious ass and stole the show. When we left, I asked everyone "Who was that band?!" and no one knew. That night I heard a commercial on KMET about a new band from Australia with an album just out called Powerage. I recognized the music from the ad and realized that's who we just saw! Bon and Angus and the boys we're explosive on stage and that night was one my favorite memories to this day.
My brother Jacky who sadly passed away 4 years ago was at this concert he was 18 at the time and at the end of this video you can see him jumping up and down R.I.P. Jack
There will never be another AC/DC. As unapologetically straightforward of a rock band as has ever existed. No frills, no tricks, no gimmicks...what you see is what you get.
@@muzikdude1188 Gimmicks usually are superfluous. But the point is, did he/they get NOTICED MORE because he wore the school uniform? And the answer is undeniably, yes.
@@terri6854 Funny, I didn't see what they looked like until long after Back in Black so how they looked mattered not at all to me. It was their unique and fantastic sound that hooked me.

Ladies and gentlemen.... the best Goddamn Rock N Roll band and lineup to ever exist... We will never feel the power AC/DC brings from any other band. Sorry. And Bon Scott is hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST FRONTMAN OF ALL TIME... I mean how could anyone argue with that voice and charisma... just wow ✌🖤🤘
@My Email lol that's because only pussies wear anything with shoelaces all the time. My mans was mostly a boot guy ;-) they are good yes... actually idk where in the fuck you're getting Axle being even anywhere near the top 10 lol. Hes authentic I'll give you that. Generic as fuck though lol. And he acts like a HUGE pussy on stage too lol! Bon would literally probably woop his ass 😂 His lyrics are pretty elementary too so I guess I could see why "some folks" like him lol. But in terms of originality and influence Bon and Robert are hands down top 5. Axle realistically is more down there next to guys like Dio an the White Snake singer. Which Dio gets a bad rap sometimes but you got to think in a broad perspective. And ACDC in the 70s is by far the best straight up Rock N Roll band there ever was. Their albums and the production of them are light years better than anything Guns N Roses ever did that wasn't mainstream. Most everything they did was somewhat mainstream.. We're talking about super classic albums like Powerage that influenced guys like Axle and Slash lol... No comparison at all bro sorry.. Slash and Axle would probably say the same thing and you know it. You can't change facts.
@My Email what? Lol oh lord only douche bags use that word 😂 and it also doesn't make much sense the way you said it.. lol use the word in a better context next time you decide to be a tool ;-)
Yes, he is like a steam locomotive at full speed in Let there be rock in particular. Absolutely unstoppable and very, very powerful. I love the sound mix in this video. It is intense, club-like and especially the rhythm section comes across as incredibly tight.
The 'If you Want Blood' live LP 1978 was mostly this gig. The best version of Rocker ever - in the Rangers kit. Who knew? I am more than a little jealous of you guys who saw the Bonn Scott ACDC, I saw them first time at Donington '84.
Yes this grand musical band AC/DC...I MUCH PREFER BON. AND LIVED TO LOVE EVEN BRIAN'S VOICE. AND MUST SAY THAT WHEN THEY COME BACK TO THE STATES 1.MADISON SQUARE GARDEN FOR 2 NIGHTS. WHERE ELSE THEY PICK ...INDY WOULD BE NICE WITH DOME OPEN.😮❤😊
This is as good as it will ever get for rock music. There are so many marvelous rock bands that have come and have gone. But for me, no band had this perfect combination of raw power, talent, no-bullshit-song structure and flawless execution as AC/DC in the late 70s. I am not a fan of hyperbole the way it can be found in comment sections around RUclips, but this was the top of the top of the top of rock and roll coming together to form the perfect band: The best lead guitarist of a generation, a man born to be a rock and roll-singer - breathing and living the rock and roll lifestyle to the fullest with all his heart, the best bassist a rockband can wish for, the best rhythm guitarist a rockband can ever wish to have and a drummer that is as tight as it can get - forming the best, most song-serving and tightest rhythm section ever. And all of them come together to grace the world with this performance of a lifetime. AND it was captured on film!
Never got to see Bonn, but I've worked them a few times through the 90s-10s. Always a hell of a show, loud AF, and they always had a professional and cool road crew. I am fortunate to have seen the stuff from the other side of the stage...
Totally agree, fore sure the best rock album if it comes to riffs. The power, energy and rythm in those songs are unmatched by any other band in my opinion.
Was at this gig at the Apollo up in the gods.. 17 at the time and now 62...Memories just listening to and watching this video. AC/DC were pure power. RIP Bon and thanx
For me the Powerage record is probably one of the greatest balls in your face rock n roll records of all time! Never gets old however many times I play it!
One of my favorite all time albums … both Keith Richards and Edward Van Halen named amount the best of all time … best record in they’re catalog. LOVE IT !
In 1978 I was 13 years old and just beginning my rock journey, THIS band was one of the biggest influences on me and where I've gone since then. The first album I ever bought as a kid was Let There Be Rock - I still have it. I now sit here not far from where this was recorded in a venue that sadly no longer exists in my late 50's with fucking tears streaming down my face of pure joy at watching and hearing these gorgeous fucking lunatics once more in their prime.
Bro. I was there and i was only 15yo at the time. This video almost made me cry because of the powerful memory it triggered in me. That was one of about 4 or 5 shows i saw in a 10 day period at the Apollo. All big acts.

I was at this gig, cost me £2 ! in the circle. We also went to Back in Black tour about four years later. We weren't to happy that Brian Johnson got the job, thought the guy from Nazareth Dan MacCafferty should have got it.Sounds much closer to Bon Scott's vocals. But changed our minds after the gig as it was fuckin brilliant. McCafferty should still have got the gig though imho
They got topped when Bon Scott got paralytic blind drunk & off his face on drugs & choked to death on his own vomit in the backseat of someone’s car. That horrific incident led the way for AC⚡️DC to come back bigger & better with the Back in Black album & Brian Johnson as their new front man. AC⚡️DC would never have achieved their worldwide success with Bon Scott. R.I.P. Bon Scott. LONG LIVE AC⚡️DC 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@5Heth Back in Black WAS the path for main stream fans to all prior AC/DC recordings. Thus, opened Bons unique lyrics and Mals catchy riffs to all to enjoy.
There's something about Bon, he had that strut, that charisma, those lyrics and that voice, the way he came across, you can't take your eyes off him besides Angus of course. No disrespect to Brian of course. I would've loved to have seen them at this time but was only a kid. Jesus they were/are a powerhouse here, Powerage my favourite album it's a classic IMO. Fantastic footage.
And to think not long prior to this, he was a bearded, flute playing hippie in a band called Fraternity. There’s footage on RUclips of Bon and Fraternity. In that footage there’s no clue that he would become the bare chested, scream machine ACDC frontman, and become a legend in his own right. A great loss that’s for sure, and still felt today. Many rockers cite Bon as an influence and rightly so!!
I think Bon partied like a Rock Star every day. What you see is what you get. Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll. Authentic. It doesn’t even cross your mind that he is fake. Born to be a Rock Star. That Twinkle in his eye, i bet he had some incredible women. Rest in Peace. You earned it !!!!
When I was a kid, I was working for Triumph as their special effects designer & operator, and it was during ‘78 tour of theirs they opened up for us in St. Louis. There were so many groups/Artists, some of them brought a lot to Rock Music (Hendrix, EVH refreshing the old tapping technique, Dio, without digging deeper in the crates). I've seen lots of shows, many AC/DC concerts with Bon and with Brian (i didn't want to see them with axl) and I appreciated all of them and they all came with their different vibes. I was there that night and it’s only now, 40 years later i can now watch it on catch up . No RUclips in those days, I was even lucky enough to own a black and white telly but that’s was about it . Waited a long time for this .
During their live shows in this era of the band’s history, it didn’t take Bon and Angus very long before they had complete control of the audience…amazing!
The sticky carpets. The red sequined wallpaper. The 12 foot high stage. The bouncing balcony. For the band the Apollo was a return to the lands of their fathers. The band always looked after their Scottish fans well, and this gig was legendary when I was a young fella.
@@mrc2662 My first gig was Split Enz at the QM, then Frank Zappa in the Apollo both in 1977. My dad got the tickets and thought he'd got a good deal on seats down the front! I was fortunate enough to be at this concert in Glasgow. It was actually the third time I'd seen them. The first time was at Glasgow University. That concert was shut down by the police after complaints about noise from the neighbours. I remember Bon Scott saying to the few dozen students "We'll be back." They certainly did come back as this concert proved. The band liked to play in Glasgow as they had close family members there.

I remember watching this in 1987 when RAGE first aired it. I was 13 and with 6 older brothers I'd been raised on this. It came on at about 1am and we cranked the volume to 11. I miss those days so much!
The secret to AC/DC is the open chords that just ring out so much and give the grit that they, and only they can give. They got great mileage from A-D-G-E Love these lads, saw them many times back in the Bonn days, only once with Brian during the Back in Black tour.
I saw them live after the release of "For those about to rock" in N.J. About a month later, I started my gig as a live rock radio DJ on WVRM in Hazlet, N.J. First song I played was For those about to rock! The phone lines lit up like it was Christmas!!

'Powerage' = My absolute favorite AC/DC album, the sounds of the album, the timbre of the guitars are so real, so tasty, warm and crunchy clear (Malcolm) and cutting, piercing, slashing (Angus), if you close you're eye its' like being there in the studio w/ them.... the songs are kick ass Hard Boogie Blues Rock N Roll as good as it gets.
when we look back at acdc 25-30 years from now we are going to begin to understand just how fucking great angus was. the young brothers are 2 of the most talented live guitars there have ever been.

Until recently I never knew any of this footage existed. If You Want Blood is by FAR my favorite AC/DC release. Just my opinion (I don't want to upset anyone), but I truly believe the performance here is superior to any studio release they did with Bon. None of the studio LP's capture the fire and aggression they have in this live show. Bon's voice is BLAZING. Lightning in a bottle, once in a millenium kinda stuff. He shows here why he's the undisputed greatest frontman of his generation.
I just found this footage tonight. It sounds so good. Playing through my Sonos sound bar and it’s got a great punch to it. As a Scot who lived just outside Glasgow for many years it’s so cool to se them with the old Scotland top on. Bon is still a legend!
Angus is simply hypnotic..bloke is literally buzzing...never will there ever be another Angus...so tight on the guitar .his whole body involved in his performance...such a one off..that was one hell of a good gig

Not one of Chuck's Children got it any better than Angus. Please excuse the foul language, but this is just TIGHTER THAN FUCK. Bad Boy is amazing. The way the band comes out of a break, sometimes with no more queue than Angus' arm, is just so perfect. I've been playing almost as long as Angus, and he is still a guitar god to me. Why, oh WHY, has there not been a Grammy special for him? Criminal. Just frikkin criminal. Get your heads out your butts Grammy people. Celebrate this amazing man while you still have a chance.
Exactly right Been listening to this since the age of 15 and still love it and canr get enough of this band. I don't know how a band can write so many kick- ass songs with three or four chords. Never got to see them with Bon Scott, but hearing those energy giving songs that make/ made me go spastic and feel hyped and epically energized in 7th. grade until pretty much today was/is great. Lol. Good times.
Angus is the greatest ROCK guitarist of all time, bar none. Hendrix, Page, Beck, Santana, Blackmore are all absolute legends, but their styles were much more eclectic. Angus is PURE FUCKING ROCK AND ROLL.
I with you. I had never seen the video they made for it until I came across it on RUclips a few years ago. ANd it was already 40 years old then. That was so well done. It became one of my favorite songs all of a sudden. it also made me go find out more about the early forming of the band and all that. I gained a much needed kick in the ass for discounting them with regard to their true talent and musical knowledge learning about Malcolm's rock steady rythym playing wherin Angus fed off that. And I can thank that "Let there be Rock" video with Bon Scott at the pulpit. Oh and Angus with the Halo on his head. Cute. I watch it ever few months now. I have always liked AC/DC. I place themeasily in the top 10 Rock n Roll Bands of All Time.

Thank you for restoring and uploading this absolute masterpiece of a life show. The whole band is on fire here, particularly Bon and Angus! Nothing to say about Malc as he is as rock solid as he was every other gig with AC/DC. Best rhythm player there ever was. As a 25 year old there would be nothing better than going back to this night in 1978, 50 miles from where I grew up, with a few beers spending the night in that sweaty, smoke filled room listening and rocking out to the best version of AC/DC there was live and in the flesh. Very clique but I do wish I grew up in this era, with proper music, before the world became so soft, boring and self obsessed. It seems an age ago.
this comments are pure gold
Thank you for letting us know about that memorable evening!! I am envious.

This sounds like a dream . The perfect era of AC/DC too . They were raging in 77 and 78 . Such a great story man .As a fan who was at this show , how was watching them explode with back in black and their evolution til or ? Have you followed each album after and how do you feel about the evolution?
I also saw them on that tour, May 8th 1978, Free Trade Hall Manchester. They ripped the fucking place up.
Nice story. 👌🏻
God, this is just so, so good. Absolutely no holds barred, kicked in the teeth Rock and roll. So pure, so elemental, so direct and so urgent. Truly this band in their live prime. This is the real fucking deal, and simply can't be matched. As good as it gets.
Its near perfect ROCK n ROLL man
Just watched this again. It has to be one of THE best gigs ever. They were on fire and so f*cking tight. What a lot of folks don’t realise is how hard that is to achieve. It’s not just heavy, it’s musically brilliant. The song arrangements are so clever. RIP Bon and Malcolm.
It's rare to see a concert that sounds exactly like the album... But this is one of those moments
@@mahamanahamana8884
Or a concert that doesn't sound like the album.
Or actually a concert that is better than the album.@@mahamanahamana8884
There have been many ACDC shows from the 77,78,79 Era release in the last 20 years. I love being able to play them and feel like I'm at the concert. Long live rock n roll❤
What people also don't realise is how essential Phil Rudd was. They sucked when he wasn't in the band and back to something like themselves when he returned. It's the drag... he hits ever so slightly behind Malcolm and Angus causing the guitar sound to sound even more driving than it already is. Awesome drummer.
"If You Want Blood You've Got It" is one of the greatest live albums ever made.
Word 🔥
Word is BORN !!!!!!!!!!
Plus it was at the best venue ever - The much missed Apollo
that is true!!!
And the coolest album cover ever !!!!!
They so remind of the good days in high school. I saw AC/DC in SF when 'Back in Black' first came out. Sure wish I would of seen Bon live.
This is exactly how rock should be played. It doesn’t get any better then this here!!
Fuck yeah brother.
Thanx. And: Right

Best days..🎉
This should be archived and preserved forever. And when kids wanna know what rock and roll is, show them this. Fucking perfect.

they have a drummer. not perfect
Never seen Angus brag about his talent. Just did it
When I saw this Aerosmith tour at the Long Beach Arena in 1978, these boys came out without being listed on the billing and no one knew who they were because it was their first big tour as the opening act.
Echt der Wahnsinn das sie dabei waren. Ich würde alles geben um auch in diese Zeit zu kommen. Das wäre ein unvergesslicher Abend.
A great memory to cherish...🎉

There will never be another AC/DC. As unapologetically straightforward of a rock band as has ever existed. No frills, no tricks, no gimmicks...what you see is what you get.
The school uniform is a gimmick
what you see is what you get....again and again.... and again.
@@terri6854 Not really. If Angus didn't wear that would you even notice?
@@muzikdude1188 Gimmicks usually are superfluous. But the point is, did he/they get NOTICED MORE because he wore the school uniform? And the answer is undeniably, yes.
@@terri6854 Funny, I didn't see what they looked like until long after Back in Black so how they looked mattered not at all to me. It was their unique and fantastic sound that hooked me.

Now this, is AC/DC!

And Bon when Angus was riding his shoulders
And as I said in a previous comment, this is the best Bon ever sounded. None of the studio LP's capture his fire like this one
He was just the BEST! No one impressed me like Bon Scott did!
Bon Scott at his best. The best Rock and Roll frontman of all time! Watch him own the stage.

Phil Rudd is the king. His drumming here is just awesome.
Yes, he is like a steam locomotive at full speed in Let there be rock in particular. Absolutely unstoppable and very, very powerful. I love the sound mix in this video. It is intense, club-like and especially the rhythm section comes across as incredibly tight.

Nailed it.

A lot of people say 'Powerage' is their favorite. I believe it is mine too. Or the 'Let There Be Rock' album. Classics. Big time.
Vale Bon.❤
I think Bon partied like a Rock Star every day. What you see is what you get. Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll. Authentic. It doesn’t even cross your mind that he is fake. Born to be a Rock Star. That Twinkle in his eye, i bet he had some incredible women.

If you want blood is the worlds best live album, and it needs to be listened to with 70' speakers :D
I just found this footage tonight. It sounds so good. Playing through my Sonos sound bar and it’s got a great punch to it. As a Scot who lived just outside Glasgow for many years it’s so cool to se them with the old Scotland top on. Bon is still a legend!
The "if you want blood" version of Rosie got as much airplay as the studio, where I live in US. I wore out several copies on cassette.

Malcolm is/was the Man and main songwriter of that band. Never got to see them with Bon Scott, but hearing those energy giving songs that make/ made me go spastic and feel hyped and epically energized in 7th. grade until pretty much today was/is great. Lol. Good times.

💯 percent facts 🥃
Angus is the greatest ROCK guitarist of all time, bar none. Hendrix, Page, Beck, Santana, Blackmore are all absolute legends, but their styles were much more eclectic. Angus is PURE FUCKING ROCK AND ROLL.
Damn- this rocks like a monster. And Phil Rudd/ Cliff Williams keeping the groove like a freight train runnin wild, epic👊
please don't forget the Master of rythm guitar, the conductor of the band, the one and only Malcolm Young.
@@jonizefox Indeed....that rhythm section is locked so tight and makes what is probably the best band to ever exist....amazing!
@@thisisnotforalltosee1875 probably?
@@thisisnotforalltosee1875 no probably..... This line up missed icon status by mere months. ✌️
We were at the Victoria Hall Keighley west Yorkshire gig in 1978. 250 in attendance. Wow. Amazing. Cant find any footage 😔
I’m 58 and didn’t listen to them in school
I started listening to them 5-8 years ago and haven’t stopped
Just straight forward, no nonsense R & R
Greatest rock and roll band ever. And sprinkled with a lot of Bon Scott on top?!?! Sheeeeittt
The best "Bad Boy Boogie" performance !
At their peak. Un-bloody-believably good.
Rock n' roll perfection!
The driving, perfectly timed rhythm guitar of Malcolm Young is what really stands out to me about this performance.
Riff-raff is simply face-melting.
I saw AC/DC on their first album tour. I’m 65 years old with a lot of hearing loss today.
Let there be Rock is really just the perfect live song when they perform it... Unbeatable....
For me the song Let There Be Rock was AC/DC's heaviest tune, at least in my opinion. It was a great show i know as i was there as a 15yo. Now im 60.
Rocker is the best tune they produced. All time greatest song from any rocknroll band.
Best version of Rocker EVER!
Your a mind reader
EVER.........👊
For me Powerage is the greatest AC/DC album of all time.. every track is just killer ..🎸🎸🎸
@@knows-about yeah I love that track....🎸🎸🎸
Iam so bloody jealous of all of those who saw this tour live... OMG they were so young.. the ..Young brothers!!
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! This is the essence of the greatest rock & roll band Australia has/will ever produce.
The best 36 minutes of AC/DC you will ever see, folks.
Not just us Aussies but the world. They n them are just discovering Bon scott ,
I’m 59, when I was 16 I was in a record shop buying albums second hand 😊, when I saw this crazy looking Powerage album,I brought it home and it was and still is one of my greatest albums I ever had. This band is the definition of rockanroll, love the bon days.it really don’t feel that long ago?.
That’s my favourite AC/DC album. Eddie Van Halen loved ‘Downpayment Blues’. Keith Richards has cited the album as a favourite too.
me too he taken from us to young
Let There Be Rock, first single I ever heard by AC/DC in 1978, I was 14, best heavy rock band ever and Glasgow Apollo, best venue ever
Watching this has put me in an amazing mood, great performance!!!🤘😈🤘
Me too brother. - was kinda down. Now I have a big smile.
Greatest ever version of bad boy boogie, absolutely blows your face off every time…. One of the best bands of all time at the very top of their game. Incredible
100%. makes the studio version seem tame.
@@toddinthemiddleYeah and the studio version is just bad
Just remember, the sound is about a third of how good it could be, and it still kicks everything else's ass out the door.
This is pure…this is live…this is music as it has to be🙏🏻🎸🎸
I was in the audience for this gig. Amazing. It was the first time we had ever experienced radio mics, so we were mystified that Angus could crowd surf and keep playing. A defining moment for all us Apollo regulars, many thanks for posting.
I'm forever jealous. If I could have one last concert for the rest of my life, I would love to have seen AC/DC in a theater venue in 78 or 79. Born too late sadly.
Yeah I was watching just now thinking they must have had wireless. Bit risky to use back then, it wasnt solid tech at all.
@@Ukraineaissance2014They had theirs specially designed and built by an engineer. It wasn’t on “off the shelf” product
...Mr.Bon Scott...one and only true street rock and roll singer and leader...pure emotion and raw power...Bon 4 ever💯✨⚡✨💫😎
The best front man ever
Yes Ronnie van zant a close second though bouth men wrote great lyrics that cut through
I was 17 and won 6 tickets to see AC/DC at the Perth Entertainment Centre, Western Australia and it fantastic. Thanks for this video!!!! Brought back memories of a Aussie great band.
One of the few bands that can give me goose bumps just watching a video. Amazing how close this sounds to the album.
What an absolute legendary performance from an amazing band, I wish I could've been there but I don't think my Mum and Dad would've let me, not all the way up tae Glasgae from Ayrshire by myself at nearly 10 years old.
Saw them three times , they are Awesome !
I would pay good money for the video and sound for this to be remastered and released. The energy, attitude and balls is absolutely unrivalled by anything I've seen in real life or on video. At their prime here!
@@ryandoespools *the whole show.
Dynamite performance from the band and great energy from the crowd, must've been a hell of a good night! Hope you guys and girls who went along are still with us and doing all right.
62 years old now, and was in the front stalls that night.
Still got the ticket stub after all these years.
Here’s the lyrics, can’t find where anyone else has posted them
On the day I was born
The rain fell down
There was trouble brewin' in my home town
It was the seventh day
I was the sixth son
And it scared the hell out of everyone
They said stop, I said go
They said fast, I said slow
They said yes, I said no
I do the bad boy boogie
Bein' a bad boy ain't that bad
I had me more dirty women than most men ever had
All you women come along with me
And I'll show you how good a bad boy can be
I said right and they said left
I said east and they said west
I said up and they said down
I do the bad boy boogie
All over town
I wouldn't tell you no story
Tell you no lie
I was born to love till the day I die
I just line 'em up
And I knock 'em down
And they all came a runnin' when the word got around
Just keep a runnin'
I said up
They said down
(Bad boy boogie)
They said straight
I said round
(Bad boy boogie)
They said lost
I said found
(Bad boy boogie)
I said free
And they said bound
Bad boy boogie
Do the bad boy boogie
Bad boy boogie
Bad boy boogie
I have tried to find them believe me but you just don’t get gigs or music like this anymore sadly.
All due respect to AC/DC who inspired me to play guitar and Bon who absolutely rules, EVH is the greatest rhythm guitarist of all time
John lennon was the best rhythm guitarist. People laugh when I say this until I show them isolated rhythm guitar from beatles early and mid period especially.
Who plays the best guitar? Who fcukn cares? Boys were raisin the roof that night.
@@Ukraineaissance2014 Y no te olvides de BOB DIDDLEY saludos!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🤟🏻⚡
Been shown regularly on Rage for the last 3 decades in better quality. Must’ve been an exhaustive restoration process.
Nobody in the history of music has ever gone at it as hard as Angus Young and nobody ever will equal his energy.
Agreed, Pete Townsend and Randy Rhodes were awesome Talents all were worth the price of admission 😎
