      @@arielcardozo6907It seems you have fans who are strictly Bon Scott, those who are strictly Brian Johnson and those who fall somewhere in between. It's a hot button debate for AC/DC fans. I'm a Bon Scott fan. Six powerhouse rock albums in just five years with Bon Scott. He cemented the sound of AC/DC for a lot of fans. Original lead singers of a popular band can never really be replicated. Kind of like Van Halen. As great of a rock singer as Brian Johnson is, I always felt his voice was kind of strained to replicate the original sound of AC/DC with Bon Scott. The "Back in Black" album is undeniable and set a new path for more great rock, by a great rock band. But for some of us purists, it'll always be Bon Scott.

      Phil Rudd is possibly the most underrated drummer.
      His craft is essential for AC/DC to be AC/DC.
      Also; AC/DC is so clean it isn't funny.
      But; in the 80's with everyone having high power car stereos in clapped out Camaros, etc with shitty 6x9s...AC/DC was blown out over distortion 'crap' that we all fell in love with.
      Fast forward to today - loud as hell and clean as whistle is how it is meant to be.

    I saw them in 1979 in San Antonio 5 months before Bon Died. A friend called me about two hours before the show, said he had a ticket for me but the seats sucked. When we got in the arena I found out we were sitting first row center section. As in this video the barricade was very close to the stage. Bon walked out with a cowboy hat on and had a big grin on his face. Angus had blood on his knees from sliding across the stage. Out of all the bands of that era I saw that show sticks with me the most.

It's been so long I think I we've forgotten what AC/DC was before 1980 when he was replaced by Brian Johnson follwing his untimely death. This was full throttle hard rocking raw AC/DC that was the foundation for the legendary explosion of fame & fortune that happened after he died.

    The combination of Angus and Bon is unmatched, so striking and captivating. Bon with those animated expressions on his face, looking right into the camera, the charisma, you can almost read his mind, he really knew how to connect with the audience. Then you have Angus strutting around frenetically without missing a note or beat, seemingly deranged or possessed by the music. Then add the rock solid foundation holding it all down- Malcolm, such a great rhythm player with great tone. The calm, steady foil to Angus and the tight team of Cliff WIlliams on bass and Phil Rudd on drums, pounding it out so solidly. So raw, no in ear monitors or fish tanks around the drums, old school all the way, how I wish more bands would play today. This is pure gold!!!🤘

    Watching this in May 2024. Absolutely stunning performance from Angus Young. The Legend is born. Wow. AC/DC is killing it and the audience, with a just a few exceptions, doesn't have a clue to what they are witnessing. In less than 2 years, Back in Black will be released and the world of hard rock is changed.

      They were the opening act at the Monsters of Rock Day on the Green in Oakland back in 1978. Opened for Van Halen, Foreigner, Pat Travers, and the headliner Aerosmith. How about waking up to AC/DC- they blew everyone else away. Aerosmith, sad to say, was outclassed and outplayed by all the other bands, but AC/DC, Van Halen, and Pat Travers played like they were hungry and ready to take over the world.

    High Voltage, T.N.T., Touch too much, Dirty Deeds, Riff Raff, Sin City, Bad Boy Boogie .... never has a band suited their song titles and lyrics better than Bon, Angus, Mal, Phil and Cliff. This is 100% PURE energy that just goes straight into every fibre of your body to fully absorb you in Rock'n'roll!
    Every one of Mal's riffs, no, every single chord played reall is just exploding in your face. Listening to this and watching the guys perform in their prime is quite literally a phyiscal experience more than anything.
    There absolutely cannot be any debate that AC/DC 1974-1980 was and still is the best rock band in the world.
    I adore the Stones, love The Who, admire Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple or Black Sabbath, love Status Quo, Van Halen, Metallica, Maiden, Priest and whathaveyou all the same... I dig Britpop (which IMHO was mainly rock, too, just with a couple of more pop-like or danceable underlying beats, admire the rawness of Punk and the sophistication and athmosphere of NewWave, Indie and Alternative. Hell, I even dig quite a bit of Rap, HipHop and Electronic stuff to go on - but the world has yet to show me a band that carries more energy and involvement in both their songs and their performances than the mighty 1970s Accadacca!

      @ralfhenke8148 3 месяца назад

      @@vincentmv898 Sure, Queen also clearly are one of the best groups ever BUT a completely different flavour. Queen ist not purely about power, energy and roughness. They sometimes played hard rock, but they never were a hardrock band. Loud, brash rock'n'roll is neither the majority nor the center of their work. There's far too much other styles and influences in their catalogue, IMHO: You have pop, funk, electronic, operatic and symphonic stuff, folk, ballads ... you name it...
      And towards rhe end of their career (I consider them finished since Freddie passed away) I am sorry for having to say that I could really barely stand them anymore (far too much pathos AND no more innovation).

    It’s funny my cousins once told me that they were at a concert here in Houston. The first opening act nobody ever really pays attention to, so you go get your beer. They were standing in line and was listening to the band playing and they were kicking ass and he was like man who the hell is that. They literally got out of the line went to sit down and it was AC/DC opening up and they were kicking so much ass that people were literally leaving the lines going back to their seats to watch the band. And he said, during one of the songs that Bon Scott put Angus on his shoulders, and started walking through the crowd, while Angus was still playing. After that, they were huge fans, and they turned me onto him. I was probably 11 years old. And I’ve seen them quite a few times. Rest in peace Bon as well as Malcolm and if I’m blessed, maybe I’ll get to meet y’all guys on the other side. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

    This was my very first time I ever seen AC/DC when I was 15 years old in 1979. I tuned into the show because Journey, who I was a big fan of, was going to be on it. AC/DC comes on and I almost turned it off because I thought they were a crappy punk band. Thankfully, I kept it on because by the end of the song, I forgot all about Journey and AC/DC was the band I have become a fan of right there and then and have been ever since. What a timeless performance.
