3:09 Dimebag shredding so hard he lays a sound concussion on the fvcking camera
Yeah that shit was badass! Surprised the same thing didn't happen at 9:21
23 yrs old and Dimes already the best metal guitarist on Earth!
Amen
I used to go with my uncle and watch him win guitar competitions all over the Dallas/Ft Worth area when he was just in his mid teens.
@@mikerobertson2402 Holy shit, really? Were you there when he won the dean from hell?
Jeff loomis at 17 was insane. Look up Wisconsin guitar wars. Also Jason becket writing altitudes at 15 is insanity. I love dime and he's the reason I play guitar but he was by no means the pinnacle of young guitarists.
Yes sir he was !!!
Last day of the 80's... thats heavy man...
It’s 2024, and I still choked up watching this. The boys are really coming into their own. Pantera will totally domination the metal scene in a few months. It’s so hard to fathom that Dime and Vinny aren’t here. Miss you boys, with love and totally respect.
Seen them 7 times, the first time in a small club in Nashville,Club 1000, just before Vulgar was released. The last time at Starwood in Antioch,TN with White Zombie, supporting Far Beyond Driven. There will never be anything like a Pantera show with Vinnie, Rex, Dime and Phil. Pure Muscle and all out fun.
Phil's voice was amazing
Last day of the 80’s when this was filmed!
2021 still listening to pantera... Always in my heart
Me too. 2022
2023-forever
Sept 6th 2024🥁🥁
Holy Crap !!! How Great they were .... Fuck !!!!!
imagine hearing this in 1989
Just thinking the same. NYE 1989…the 90’s were destined to be awesome
Or 1988
I wish I was born many years sooner just to see them live
same man
This!!!...brings that straight up mosh pit survival to the memory surface!!! Never ever again will this type of monster exist.
HOLY FUCK! What an intro! Such a tight, chug chucking, musical behemoth Pantera was.
PANTERA RULES dimebag ,vinnie Paul rest n peace brothers!
Sept 6th 2024!! Still the Kings
I was 11 years old and i listening my first Metallica LP, which was 'Ride The Lightning' and 'Powerslave' by Iron Maiden
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Search Pantera performances from 1988. The difference sonically and stylistically in just one year is remarkable. It's like watching two different bands.
Uffffffffff…..perfect DIME…….solid AF. Amazing how always this knocks you down and inspiring. Definetely the kings of them all. When everyone thought metallica or gnr where ruling the beginning of the 90…. Abott brothers had another thing coming
Absolutely blew the roof off that place!
Awesome!
Thank you for posting. I always wanted to hear a live version of Shattered. Incredible guitar solo.
CLASSIC YIKES!!!! DURING THAT AWESOME NOTE DIME HITS!!!!!
They were born to do it. And thank god they did. No one has created anything like it to date.
Studio quality performance...
Maybe microphone presets for Phil was bad
Maaan I was in 10th grade. What a time to b a metalhead!
what a sweet recording and set. legends
Holy fuck 34 years ago
Aghh... That legendary shattered intro!!! \m/
It's just like the album.
Great performance. Still trying to phase out some of that glam swagger stage presence at the time. ,😁
i love that shit lol Dime's march and little footwiggles are endearing in a way haha
PanterA is Life \m/ 333 \m/
I was at this show….Saw this set 50xs during this period 88-89
And this is why they are the kings of metal! Thx for this
Nothing in this world brought me more joy than these motherfuckers. Miss them bad.
Amazing footage!
Getcha pull!
Totally awesome! and the end of Domination is sick! Thanks for the upload!
it looks like they were ahead of their time. like the 90s were the next day but they were already there
Thx 4 everything pantera!!!
they really made it sound like the cd live
This is wonderful. Loved every second
Wow! This is rare and awesome. Thanks for posting this!! Getcha Pull!
to think that 2 years later they were playing in one of the biggest shows to ever be played
CFH: The Demos Intro (0:00)
Psycho Holiday (1:36)
Shattered (7:00)
Domination (11:12)
That is one of the best intros ever. Shame they’re not using it now.

Wow! This is definitely a true metal masterpiece. You can definitely see the progression to the ultimate groove metal. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Force of nature

F**k yeah \m/
Just think. Just a few months away “Cowboys From Hell” would be released and the metal landscape would be changed forever. The transition from glam to groove was such a welcome treat. I’m very fortunate to see the boys every time they came to the Philly area, and got to meet and hang with them numerous times. I really miss Dime and Vinny. I know they’re looking down and smiling at the numerous fans who got left behind.
Seeing the old pantera lettering in the background! They hadn't even updated that yet, the change was so new. I wonder if it was an over-night thing for fans of the old pantera?
@@drizel462 evolution my friend is what it was
Those drums are loud as fuck lol
the basement
Sadly, the Basement is a parking lot now. So many great memories there!
I feel like there should be like 100x more people here. By this time in 89, they were already super popular in Texas and I assume that's where this is. Why is there so few people there?
the basement in Dallas
Спасибо, чувак
Incredible footage! Amazing performance! However, I wonder if fans of the glam rock/heavy metal Pantera felt alienated with this performance. I'm curious about this. My best guess is that the majority of the fans accepted Pantera's new sound and loved it. However, I'm quite sure there were a few detractors who absolutely loathed the new sound and even stopped supporting them. Heck, I'm sure there had to be a little amount of fans who stopped supporting Pantera after Terry Glaze left the band. I'm quite sure there were ex-fans. Anyone know for sure? I'm genuinely interested.
So fucking tight!!!
Did Phil already shave the sides of his head here? It's hard to tell :p
YES!!
That's awesome, great footage man! thanks for the upload!
He looks like Jason newsted from metallica lol
7:03 Shattered
11:14 Domination
2022
Pantera for goddamn life!!🤘🤘🤘
💪🏿
Dime is such a god …
Idolatry is a grave sin that must be avoided as it places your soul on the wide path to eternal damnation in Hell, if you don’t repent/receive forgiveness for your sins prior to death.
15:09 🤘🤘🤘
This sound comes all from ONE camera..?! Damn, what camera was that..? I need that!! 😁😁
Probably an old RCA that recorded on full size vhs. The mics on those cameras were phenomenal, I actually still have my dad's.
Shattered 7:00
When God's walk the planet
What's the name of this intro!?
😳
Wdy✝️444
Thank you for this
My parents went to high school with pantera . This was when my parents and all the dorks were leaving the show bc it was to heavy ! Boo fucking Hoo! They could have been a part of history 😂
does anyone know the name of that tune playing thru the PA at the beginning??
Just some chords they used for an intro.
Hi bubby lol
They used it as their intro for years, 88 through to the late 90s. There was never an official release until they put out the Cowboys From Hell demos with the remaster and there it was, first track as an intro. It was cut from the final album
