I know this vid is pretty old, but could you possibly consider adding arrows or a highlight or some kind of reference point to the histology slides you show? I think it could help a lot with directly identifying the odd cell types/presentations that you show. I love your content and thank you so much for posting.
why doesn't a carcinoid tumor in the lung affect left side of heart? if the tumor was in the lung, wouldn't serotonin directly go to pulmonary vein and get to left side of heart?

This just don't make any sense. Adenocarcinoma is strongly connected with smoking, a lot of other research says this. The only difference is that a large percentage of non-smokers are associated with this type of cancer, more than any other type of lung cancer.

This is because the toxic serotonin will be destroyed by the MAO in the lungs before it gets a chance to slide to the left side of the heart.
