Mom’s dismissal of her kid complaining the sweater is itchy drives me crazy. If the kid has sensory issues or just sensitive skin, then of course it will be itchy for her and not mom.
Yep! the dismissal really got me saying “really?”

i don’t think people are realizing this. this doesn’t just sound like perfectionism, this sounds like straight up OCD. making the kids wear the same thing, making them all eat the same frozen dinner, constantly cleaning until early hours of the morning, freaking out when people go through her clothes, ruin her clean vaccume tracts, and they constantly say that her blood was boiling the whole time. this is not normal perfectionism. this is obsessive and compulsive.
It's anxiety. OCD is more like walking back into your house 15 times to make sure the bathroom light is off.
@@chevysmith6723 OCD is an anxiety disorder and this was an opinion straight from my OCD boyfriend. there are many different types of OCD. the one you described is definitely one of them, which is what my boyfriend has. i do agree that OCD isn’t just “the fact that this isn’t clean makes me mad” or “omg this isn’t straight!!!”, her behaviour isn’t either of those. it’s almost as if she believes something horrible will happen if things aren’t the way they are, or she will get very angry
@@alexlepanpan65 I didn't see it that way but I can see your perspective. From mine, it seems like she only cares about "the image", not necessarily that she thinks something bad will happen. It could be OCD or another anxiety disorder but she's definitely high strung.

if mum had just given her child some autonomy and said, "ok Miley, what did you want to wear today?" that would have saved 2 hours.

This! You can give small children an element of autonomy (within reason, e.g. the weather) by engaging them in the activity and offering choices... It's not that hard.
