- Jo visits the Bruno family where parents Denise and John need help with their four daughters: 15-year-old Mariah [who suffers from cerebral palsy], 13-year-old Taylor, 6-year-old Isabella "Bella", and 4-year-old Samantha "Sam." Because of Mariah's cerebral palsy, she gets physical therapy from her mom, but longs for the affection from her dad. Taylor is at odds with John because of her punk goth-like style and as a result, their relationship is strained. Bella has terrible outbursts and fights her mom, leaving Denise feeling physically and emotionally drained. Sam also misbehaves and tends to whine a lot. The girls don't give Denise enough time with Mariah's physical therapy. Can Jo help mend Mariah and Taylor's relationship with their dad and help Denise control their younger daughters' misbehavior?

the fact that the dad insults his daughters appearance is disgusting. Teenagers want to express themselves in their own way and him not letting her do that he is going to loose any bond with her.
He won’t lose the bond. It’s normal to have your parents insult your choices. Teens have always rebelled and parents have always insulted teens choices. Teens like to push the limits. I know I did and my kids did and their kids did. It is what teens do
At the same time it's not good my family doing this to me is why I stuggle alot with self esteem
I agree, teenagers should be able to express themselves in their own way without getting yelled at and having to argue with parents,unless their dressing very inappropriate and that is not acceptable like I get that but you don't to tell at them for dressing like how the girl is or lke dressing goth or emo or anything like that, or just the way they want, should they be dying their hair at thirteen though, just let them express themselves.

Fr! My kiddo has autism and doesnt really express affection how we all do, but my husbans and I make SURE she knows WE LOVE HER, no matter how she manages to express it. We hug her, and kiss her, and draw with her. Anything she needs. She wont talk much, but we hope she knows that we love her with all our hearts.

I have cerebral palsy. I was not supposed to live past my 1 first birthday, but I am very gratefulful to be alive for the last 40 years. My diagnosis is very mild because I had to wear braces on my legs for 3 years. I'm happy for having such nice doctors. I also had physical therapy.

Jo Frost is Amazing. Her techniques should be automatically instilled in parents before they are even allowed to raise children. It amazes me that in every single episode how hard it is for 2 adults to control their children but without these techniques in place it is. Luckily I've watched supernanny for years and my children are angels. Its all about boundaries, consistency and techniques.

My favorite part was seeing the relationship between Mariah and Taylor which really shows how much compassion and love they have for each other. Taylor including Mariah in her activities and doing her makeup was so sweet. Hopefully they still have that good relationship with each other!

Kids are strong and energy you can't quit disciplining your kids bc your just tired or fed up. They will see your not giving up so they will. And you stay consistent it will work.
