Hi I have replace my battery recently. It seems like there is no communication between my laptop to the new battery. I cannot turn on without AC charger. After turn on with AC, the battery can only hold for 3-5mins and it suddenly shut down completely itself. is there anyway to let my laptop communicate with the battery?
Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: 1st of all upgrade the bios to new version, from Dell official website. then if that didn't work then downgrade the BIOS to a version older. Lets me know
Im glad it helped you and regarding the screw yes they are sometime some base models change the screws and placement. thank you for the feedback and your support to the channel. :)
Great instruction. I am glad that it is fairly easy. But I will keep it plugged into my charger. Because the new battery would dead again within 3 years or so.
I am not able to remove the screws from the battery. I don't have the electric one you used but have tried every type of head and nothing fits. They are not stripped either. Very frustrating.

thank you! for the feedback and your support to the channel by SUB :P Regarding your question: you will need a opening tool or anything as thin as guitar pick .2mm you could use a super flat screw driver but then you could mark the sides of the case with it. guitar pick its the cheapest and safest
After I replaced the battery, the computer refused to recognize the new one. I turned it off, took off the new battery, held the power button for 25 secs, waited for 2 minutes and then tried again. Still no luck. The laptop simply won't recognize the new battery. any idea why?
Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both! Regarding your question, this happens when the battery is a generic and or is defective, you may have updated the bios to the new firmware and it can detect none original battery, i recommend you to purchase a better quality or from a different vendor. this does happen and we simply replace with a different battery from different vendors.
thank you for the feedback the guide is on how to open, the form and shape may be a bit different but they all open with the same guide :P , i appreciate your support my friend :)
@@uFixTek thanks for the reply... but no they don't all open the same.. the shell on mine wraps all the way from bottom and up the sides.. you HAVE TO START at the back (hinge side) to open it or you will scratch the crap out of the top side ..... just saiyan...
Thanks man, I really appreciate.

Thanks, this helped me replace my battery! Only difference was my battery has 4 screws, 1 in each corner, not just 2.

I just opened up my Dell Inspiron 13 7000 (7370) and found a model F62G0 (38 wh, 11.4 volts). Do you think the GK5KY would work?
F62G0 and GK5KY are totally different shape and connector they are not compatible
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 13 7000 (7373) just wondering if you managed to change your laptop battery if so where did you buy the battery from?
