As a guy who's taught a lot of tech, martial arts and more I have to say that this is an outstanding video. I didn't actually need to watch to the end but I called my wife over to see the excellent presentation style from start to finish. The alacrity of movement, the clear view of the workspace provided by hand placement, just excellent.
@@infinite_group You deserve it. I wish all of the other RUclips HowTo videos were done like this, obviously some will require more detailed instructions and some will require voice instructions but I will be pointing folks who do other kinds of demos to this as an example. For anyone else reading here these are the things I thought were key: * Great camera position, if it's an in person demo you've got to make sure everyone can easily see, if they strain to see around you or someone they're not able to pay full attention to the "magic" * Great lighting (see above) * Well practiced, there was literally no hesitation in this, it was so well practiced that the demonstrator's hands were literally able to to two things at once, one hand unscrewing one screw while the other hand was removing the previous screw. * No needless pauses. * Just enough words to get the information across, not too many, not too few. * Respect for the value of the viewer's time. The person watching you has a life and they are choosing to spend some of it watching you work your craft, respect that. Yes, if you are doing a demo you are giving the viewer something but a teacher without an class is just some bumping gums. The purpose of a demo is to help our audience become the smartest person in the room, not too prove that we are.
Love this video - so easy to follow along! One thing was different for me - the cover didn’t lift easily, as it’s clipped, so used a flat screwdriver as a lever to help prop it open. And I also found it easier to disconnect the battery once I have lifted it
I removed all the screws, but can't lift off the back cover. I tried lifting it gently from the back as you showed, but it won't move. I tried doing it with a bit more force, but still it won't move. Should I try prying with a flat blade screwdriver? Please advise. Thank you!
Dell comes with software that can run a test and tell you. also if the battery is bulging it's time to replace . A bulging battery in anything means it's time to replace, this includes cars.
You know I think how long a battery lasts is all over the place cuz I have a Dell that I used for only about 2 years and I turned it on every once in awhile and it tells me I need a new battery.
@@infinite_group what I ordered a new battery from Dell I wanted to do it from Amazon but I don't trust lithium batteries from a company that I know nothing about. And I wish Amazon would pull the batteries off their website that have Dell stickers on them they're not from Dell. Dell does not sell batteries third party
That music is really annoying. Also some of the models you list have a dvd player that has to be removed, because there are two more screws to remove beneath it, otherwise you can't separate the halves. This video had it's heart in the right place, but could be improved. Keep at it though.
@@infinite_group my Dell 13-5000Battery lasted for almost 5 years. I am chancing the Battery wright now, because last week a signal pop-up on the screen came on which said: "chance Battery". So you may wait that long, but I suggest as soon as the battery unusually fast runs empty, would be the best time. By the way, what do you mean by 1 hour movie playback time? Normal when you have 1 hour left is no reason to replace a battery.

yeah, its better to use plastic guitar clips or something to not risk scratching/damaging the cover
Thank you 🙏 you just saved my life.
dump the music, and talk through it. Thanks for the video
okok, next time

Nono I wouldn't advise using anything metal to pry it. Try a plastic guitar pick or plastic ruler to work around the edges and undo the clips.
Great video, thanks very much. Very clear instructional video
perfect video, thank you
Thank You 4 help ❤️
No problem, please subscribe :)
Video is good..music is crap..gave me a headache
oops
Great vid… any special screwdriver? It looks
Like a small philips
Thanks! Yes it is a typical Philips head screw driver. Dell devices are generally really easy to work on without special screws.
What are the stickers on the computer(behind the battery)
idk dell originally put those dell
How long should the battery life be? Is there a way to test if I need a new battery? My laptop dies after about 1hr-1.5hr.
After the battery replacement my laptop gets about 5hours now

Does this battery have a warranty and if it does then for how long?
Depends on how you purchased the device.
