- Better late than never! The stellar folks over at Monstrosities tagged me and a few other kaiju RUclipsrs with 5 questions, which I answered while playing the kaiju classic Earth Defense Force. This is a highlight from that stream.

Godzilla's Revenge holds a special place in my heart. It was the only Godzilla movie I ever owned on physical media (DVD) because of my childhood memories of watching this film over and over on TV. As I grew older, I realized what a steaming pile it is as a movie, but I think it still excels as the perfect movie to introduce kids to the world of Kaiju films.
Couldn't agree more! I'm definitely going to use this film to introduce kids to Godzilla, it's the best choice (right up there with Son Of Godzilla)
I´m never really able to make it to your streams, because of the different timezones, i also have a few questions.
1. What do you hope/expect of future Monsterverse movies?
2. Same question but with TOHO movies?
3. Which Dinosaur movies do you like? I´m a huge fan of "The last Dinosaur" for example.

1 - The English dub of many films. I grew up watching Jackie Chan dubs, and the fun is there.
2 - Matango is a genuinely fine film. The atmosphere is great.
3 - Talos from Jason and the Argonauts. Not a "monster"? Go live it!

Talos!!! Good answer! in part, because I hadn't even thought of it!
1- Godzilla ‘98. Yes it’s a terrible Godzilla movie, but since the Zilla rebrand I’ve found it works as a kind of Godzilla spin-off. Like how Mothra and Rodan had solo movies.
2- Only seen the Kaiju films so no opinion
3- The giant spiders from Eight Legged Freaks, especially the tarantula. It’s one of the first giant monster movies I ever saw, so it holds a special place for me.
4- Not the biggest fan of some of the redesigns, but overall yes.
5- Yes, but I’m a bit concerned by the lack of any trailer.

You should try godzilla defense force, its a mobile game but i like it anyways
I dunno, i got it like 2 weeks ago and i still like it, but mobile games arent for everyone
Same regarding 2 & 3. Not sure about #1 but it's definitely not All Monsters Attack because having themes doesn't make the execution any better (and we've been always aware that there's more going on we just didn't have the full context) so maybe some more experimental movies like GMK not that I ever hated it.

@Nikolas Lounies Granted... But not the coolest non-Japanese giant monster of all time.
My favorite Non-Japanese monster is Yongary. Probably because it's similar to it's Japanese cousins. lol.
Ah! I remember this stream!!! And there's me in the chat!!! This was a lot of fun to answer these questions, and I hope you do more of these at some point!!
Edit: Since everyone else is doing it, here's my list (copied straight from the chat):
1. Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla. Yeah I know everyone hates it, but SpaceGodzilla is really cool, the characters are funnier than most other movies, and of course M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is just awesome
2. Honestly I don't know many non-kaiju movies
3. I like the Behemoth
4. He didn't show my response for this one, soooooooo....HECK YEAH DUDE WOOOO SINGULAR POINT
5. Always gonna be hyped for it, it's the rematch of the century

To answer these questions:
1. GMK, i use to hate that movie when I was a kid, but now i appreciate it alot more and is even my favorite Millennium era godzilla movie and one of my favorite kaiju/Godzilla movies of all time.
2. I haven't seen enough non kaiju films, so no answer.
3. Not counting King kong, probably the Beast from 20k fathoms or Cloverfield
4. Yes, but also cautious about it, since the last anime Godzilla series was utterly wasted potential. This new anime already looks very different from what we've seen before but also embraces it's changes and hopefully it understands the spirit of the franchise.
5. Yes I'm looking forward to seeing GvK, but my excitement isn't what it used to be. After how disappointing kotm was, the countless delays, and most of all, lack of any promotional material and the warner bros v legendary situation going on after ccxp has me concerned but still hopeful that GvK will turn out pretty good.
