All of this stuff BMTH are saying making me really curious as to how the hell "Post Human" will turn out 🤔
Another example of "killing the hype" would be the metal band Beastmaker. At the beginning of 2018, they put out an EP every week (or sometimes daily) on Bandcamp. At first, I thought it was cool, but then it turned into a routine of "OHHHH, HERE'S THAT BAND WITH ANOTHER RELEASE THAT I'LL PROBABLY NEVER COME BACK TO IN 6 MONTHS TIME BECAUSE THERE'S SOOOO MUCH OF IT."
"...Hayley Williams for example......but I don't want to beat a dead horse." Lmao I really hope that pun was intentional.
@@TECfan1 I wasn't a fan of the release strategy for her album and felt like she should have released it as a normal album not 3 eps turned into a album. No more than 5 songs should have been released before the album came out.
@@sethmishne Okay? Why are you telling me this
Oli's said in interviews from when Ludens came out that they spent a whole year working on amo and were completely burnt out by the time they finished it. And I guess that instead of doing that again they'd rather do shorter ep's that take less time to make and can be more experimental.
I think that’s fair enough. Also more recently I think he said he wouldn’t wanna make another album until they get to touring.
They've already said they're doing shorter EPs right now
Bring me the Horizon will be looked at as pioneers when all is said and done. The transition this band has gone through is some of the most versatile and creative transitions I've ever seen. Oli is easily in my top 5 for metal front men. The whole band is fantastic. Can't wait for the next album.
Well-said! Got into them right when Sempiternal dropped, and while their style has evolved, quality has been consistent.
Good day to you good sir
I keep seeing you everywhere with the same copy and paste comment
@@juanvillegas8455 ok?
"I don't wanna beat the dead horse."
I SAW WHAT YOU DID
:p
I beat it like a dead horse beat it like a drumm
This was a FAST review, holy
i'm hours late fym lol
@@BeyondARTV 3 hours is pretty fast in my standards
@@BeyondARTV 3 hours is pretty fast to listen over a few times, review, record, edit, and post bro
Why can’t I find it on Apple Music?
This song felt like it was supposed to be a quarantine anthem.
That's actually what they were going for when making it!
They were together recording before the official lockdown in the uk. After that they did it all over Skype. They filmed the process for a RUclips series.
This band is so ridiculously creative, like it or not, they KNOW how to make music.
Honestly, I really like the song. It's got a nice mix of older and newer BMTH, and once liveshows kick off again, this is gonna be an AMAZING song live. Well done, BMTH, and holy hell, this review came out quick!
I loved this track so much
This song is already Song of the Year Material.
This song's sick
"Some others did it like Hayley W but I wont beat the dead horse"
Lol
Great review :D
The more I listen the more I like it
Let’s go nothing but thieves ‘real love song’ track review
What do you mean though, the mix was perfect imo, it was dark and every element was clear, if you're talking about how the guitar tone isnt really super natural sounding and more industrial that's Mick Gordon's work and I'd suggest looking into his work on doom and doom eternal.
I freaking love this!
This review was so quick!😁 great video
So happy to see you still breathing! Stay safe out there brother: stay strong 💪🏼
The song is really good when you don't look at the band name and think of something else. i miss their old styles but i guess evolve or die ennit. 4/5
I'm glad they're releasing so much music. They understand that music is consumed at such a rapid rate these days, and whilst technology allows for so many tools to be at musicians disposal, why wouldn't they constantly be churning it out? So refreshing to have a band making music thats clearly a blend of their passions and an ambitious go at making heavier music more popular in the mainstream again. Incredible creatives.
damn this track hits HARD, literally! so looking forward to Post Human! 🔥👊
I was super worried because while I did like their last record (music to...) I found it hard to listen to, and there’s only one song on it that I actually go back to. But I think this is really great and I unlike a lot of the quarantine songs that are coming out (twenty pilots I’m looking at you) this one will actually be listenable once it’s all over
I thoroughly enjoyed this song. I was skeptical on it at first after that weird project from last year, but this song truly feels like a follow up track from amo. I feel like this is just a taste of what to expect on their new project. I hope it turns out decent
Idk...I was pleasantly surprised. To me the mudiness and chaos is fitting for the purpose of the song being meant to fit for the current climate of the world. And I am grateful for some heavier stuff again and the great guitar work in it.
listen to that EP they put out, “Music To Listen To“, it’s a front to back experience, not one where you’d typically go back for specific songs imo. not really any rock in it, but I really dug it and I don’t listen to anything in the electronic realm
The more I listen the more I love it tbh
Thought this was a pretty solid song! Not my favourite by them but I enjoyed it a fair amount.
the fact you didn't mention the third chorus (with the enormously heavy screams) more than just "oli skyes' screams rae good here" kinda got me mad because damn ain't it one hell of an eargasm
You should review grey daze, it was definitely a tough listen for me but I really liked it
Fair review
Song is an Absolute Banger
How did I know you would give it a 3.5
The Reverse -Flash way too low of a rating imo
Love how you said beat the dead horse after mentioning Hayley Williams 😅
THE SONG IS AMAZING
Fun fact this song was written about a virus in Japan that became heat resistant and wouldn’t die.
Check out Mick Gordon's soundtrack to first DOOM. It's sick.
I waited 3 months for this and watched all the vlogs but when they switched out the scream that they used in this record I was so disappointed to the point of being crushed because I would love this song otherwise xc
Dear Jon,
could you do a Starset album review.
Pls!!!!!
He has stated before that he can't get into Starset, sorry
I loved this song
Well it seems like best metal album of 2020 is between Code Orange and BMTH the track is really cool hope there are some heavier cuts on the full album
My first listen I didn't really like it,
But on a second and 3rd I do appriciate it, "not a perfect song" really hits the nail on the head. Not bad at all, but not bring me at their best.
This song is awesome.
I liked GO TO it was mostly Amo B sides
Asking to hear the bass in a BMTH song is like asking to hear the turntables in a Slipknot song in the mid-00's 😂😂😂
I honestly thought this was the best rock song since Welcome to the Black Parade lol but.. I don’t listen to much new rock at all so idk
I think it's... weird? really weird, but kinda good. I gotta hear it some more cuz i'm still kinda mixed
I have to hand it to them I was disappointed with the last album it just wasn't for me the full of pop rock approach I thought Thats The Spirit was the perfect modern day Linkin Park record and this new one is brilliant maybe one of the best ones they have ever done.
Do you listen Enter Shikari new album???
I really dig this song. I tried to listen to their last EP but I couldn't finish it. It has too much electronica in it for me and there weren't really any melodies for me to cling to. The EP just does not work for me, which was disapointing because I seriously love the sound they crafted on amo. Parasite Eve vibes similar to Ludens to me, which I love. Just wanted to put out there that if you listen to Parasite Eve back to back with Nihilist Blues, the transition is really smooth. Also, Jon, I'm so sorry that you bought Death Stranding. From what I hear, it is pretty bad.
Beat a dead horse lol, Hayley Williams, I see what you did there
Day 5 of requesting a review of the band “NIGHT TRAVELER”
I want the metalcore again
amo is their best imo
You listen here! This song is a 10 out of 5 all day and on weekends and holidays!
Well..Mick Gordon did a good job.
How isn't this inspired by the coronavirus... I don't understand this
as much as i love this band, i feel like this song felt incomplete, inconsistent and not as enjoyable as the rest of their music. i didn’t enjoy the references to quarantine and to washing your hands, i find that it dates the music.. that is, if you can hear the lyrics. it sounds almost like noise. that’s my opinion on the song at least, and i’m sure it will grow on me. but the first few listens didn’t make me enjoy it
Honestly this track kinda disappointed me.
Why?
honestly I liked it on first
but on relisten oh boy I love it now
Yeah Ludens just seems to work better in a production perspective, which is kinda weird considering how fast it was written. Parasite Eve is a pretty good track though
Jake does music fair enough there both really good and some of there best recent songs
But I really enjoy the grunge nu metal style that parasite eve is going for
Kinder meh but hey thrasher's Heathen are back and it's better than this.
