34 here and I can attest to how true this is. When that song came out almost EVERYONE I knew, even people who definitely didn't listen to heavy music before, was listening to that shit and knew every word by heart.
@@SuperCezo Both were on NFG's Easycore tour in 08. My wife and I walked down the aisle to have faith in me played on an acoustic guitar. Been following them since the first full album and they always hit!!!
Common Courtesy is in my opinion peak ADTR. everything that was great about Homesick and WSMFY jammed together in one epic album. i truly believe it was made for the fans as well as for themselves.
Yeah I agree. Doesn't get the love it deserves iMO. Probably because it's not as heavy but it's got some of my favourite adtr tracks and can be listened to from start to finish even after all these years
I'm with ya, now that I think of it after watching this, Common Courtesty was clearly them going that extra mile to say "go fuck yourselves" to Victory. The album is perfect.
I was a sophomore when For Those That Have Heart released. I still remember when my friend showed me The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle and I was hooked. That album is still my personal favorite, but I do think Homesick is objectively their best.
I think it is objectively FTWHH. It's the album they actually managed to nail the balance of metalcore and pop punk without having to split them into separate songs. I still mostly enjoy everything after (only liked half of Common Courtesy, and the less said about the last album, the better), but they peaked way too early, for me.
A Day to Remember's music was the soundtrack for my turning point from being a depressed angsty 7th-10th grader with a couple of friends to a much happier and more positive high school senior with a big group of friends who I still see on a regular basis over a decade later. We even chipped in to put a page in our yearbook dedicated to our friendship with "My Friends Come First, That's The Bottom Line" written in big Varsity font which is simultaneously very cheesy and a really nice memento of a bunch of dorky teenagers finding each other and feeling a lot less alone knowing we had each other to spend time with and support one another.
I started listening to them as a teenager, freshman in HS, with And Their Name Was Treason. I’ve listened to every single album up until today, and their music, like me going through HS, College, to early adulthood, has matured and resonated with me every step of the way. Each album, through those periods of life, have really symbolized those milestones in growing up. They are, and always will be, a band that has etched themselves in stone in their own unique way.
I clearly remember the first time I ever heard ADTR. I was on our 8th grade class trip from Wisconsin to Washington DC and my friend I sat next to on the bus had a Microsoft Zune. He told me about this great new band he had come across on his Zune Music Pass. We proceeded to share his set of headphones and cue the "da da da dadadadda LETS GO" from A Downfall of Us All and we listened to Homesick and For Those Who Have Heart on repeat for many hours. This was a huge pivotal moment in my music listening experience as it led me to learn about so much new "heavier" to me type of metalcore. Still to this day, Homesick takes me back to a special time in my life. Thank you Finn for providing the flawless content as always.
A different band, but I had an almost identical experience on an 8th grade trip to Washington DC from Kentucky, lol. From First to Last had just released "Dear Diary" and angsty young me listened to it the entire bus trip there and back. Crazy how we remember those moments all these years later!
in my case, 15 years ago my highschool crush showed me "the danger is starting a fire" during a class and i loved it, in the next day we skipped class and listened to the illegally downloaded for those who have a heart for hours on repeat, since then they're still one of my favorite bands ever
I have a very similar story, I was a freshman in 2007 and my good buddy played "fastforward to 2012" and the song and breakdown blew my mind. I currently had a band I wanted to be them. I still rock ADTR "PICK UP YOUR FEET"
I agree about all of what you said, but calling it metalcore.... And heavier at that, is unfair. They included sounds and styles from metalcore, but the straight metalcore bands of the day that preceded them were much heavier. Think Lamb of God. Classic example of metalcore, these are very heavy bands either being metal and stealing hardcore style vocals OR the other way around- bands like KsE, the first two albums of A7X, etc. they (ADTR) borrowed and has metalcore sections. This is just a super important clarification to make in the history of music from what I'm assuming is the scene we both belonged to. ADTR also used Pop song structure, and it did them a huge amount of justice! edit: you got my like btw, I feel like the wording was likely not even purposeful and wanted to state that I'm not gatekeeping or anything of the like! These guys had many bands featured in the All I Want video- like Trivium to Pete Wentz which I think proves how unique they were with blurring genre lines at the times! Edit No. 2: I just reread it in larger context and understand it now that you thank them for listening to new ground like metalcore, not saying they were. Sorry, and I agree that it caused me to look at other styles of music!
They’ve remained my favorite band along side BMTH & ETF since I was literally 13 & I’m now 30. They’ve also spawned an incredible protege in I Prevail. Have been waiting years for you to make this video Finn. Much love bro. Great work sir!
ADTR was my gateway to metal. Now, 12 years after hearing them for the first time, I realise they are the reason became a metal singer. I will always be thankful 🤘
Dude these guys shows in the mid 00s were FUCKING WILD! They’ll always hold a special place in my heart even if I don’t consider them one of my top bands.
They probably do but seeing them in a little club in Des Moines, IA with maybe 50-100 people was special. Also my body didn’t miss a beat the next day back then. 🤣
Dude I saw them at Warped Tour in 2010 and there were like 6 mosh pits all going on simultaneously. They played on one of the main stages at the same time Black Veil Brides did. It was probably a 100:1 comparison in terms of audiences present in ADTR's favor. Absolutely incredible show.
2004-2013 was such a fun time for this brand of music. I’ll never grow out of it. ADTR reminds me of being 16 and scream singing all over the roads of Kentucky with my best friends.
Homesick came out my sophomore year of college so a lot of really great memories are tied to that album. To this day I can play it and just get hit with a wave of nostalgia.
Common Courtesy is my personal favorite by them. Fuck, that album is so good from front to back. Sometimes You're the Hammer, Sometimes You're the Nail may be their best song, in my opinion. Everything they do best seemed to click perfectly on that record. I absolutely love Homesick, but CC is the band at their peak and is a very underrated album.
As far as completely underrated by fans, bad vibrations doesn't get the credit it deserves. For me, I think it's their best, or possibly tied with homesick. 1a and 1b I guess.
@@mathisalexander2446 i personally wouldn’t say it’s up there with CC or Homesick for me, but I agree with you that it is criminally underrated by the fans. I never understood the hate BV got. It’s not a bad album at all. The only misses I could point out are Naivety and We Got This. The rest of that album is solid. Shit, they better appreciate it now after getting You’re Welcome lol
@@kct412 naivety, yes. We got this is good, not their best slow song, but pretty good. But yeah, you're welcome has like 2 good songs to me, I've only listened all the way through 1 time
i saw them at wwwy for the first time and Dude when they sang If It Means A Lot To You the whole crowd sang along with them. its a core memory that i will never forget in my life. And i can wait to hear them again next month when they are opening for BMTH!
They had a nice acoustic tour at the end of 2022 that was a success. Even watching the live stream every seat was packed. They reimagined a lot of their songs and even did this country blend to their songs. I’m definitely excited to see where they go next.
The reassembled tour was fucking phenomenal. Hearing them and Wage war play acoustic sets in the smaller venues that they did was life changing for music lovers and fans of the bands. Hearing some of their deeper cuts that they rarely play live in that setting invoked emotion I have never felt at a concert. It is and will always be the greatest live performance I’ve ever been to and that includes the shows I’ve played in my old band. This band has gotten me through so much of my life, good and bad.
I really love how you broke down their discography. ADTR has been my favorite band since 2011 and I've seen them live at least 10 times since 2015. A lot of people dislike the direction they took with You're Welcome but I like how the songs seem more personal and they tried to go more towards radio hits, only for them to flip 180 and put out Miracle. I'm excited to see what they put out with their next album.
The reason I got into the genre of music. I heard For Those Who Have Heart and instantly was addicted. Homesick still arguably my favorite album of all time. Great video Finn 🤘🏼🔥
There is me before Homesick, and me after Homesick. I listened to that album while playing Halo 3, WaW zombies, and Wrath of the Lich King every day from 08 to 2010. That album is literally the sound track of my golden middle school years.
I've held this opinion since the very first time that I heard Homesick, but that album is an easy 10/10 perfect album. Every single song slaps. There are VERY few albums in history where I can say "yeah, I love every song" - Homesick is one of them. Almost certainly my favourite album ever.
It’s such a bummer to read so many comments about homesick being their introduction to ADTR and never went back to listen to FTWHH, their greatest work
their live performances are a big reason why they've made it this far too. they put on some of the greatest shows. ive seen them at warped, small venues, big venues etc. its always amazing
Hey Finn, I was wondering if you could make a Video on *Rise Against* perhaps? There's literally no one who talks about them here. They're pretty fricking big for a Melodic "Hardcore" band. A lot of their songwriting is top notch and relevant even today.
Victory Records had some great bands on their roster back in the mid 2000s....ADTR, Atreyu, Taking Back Sunday, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Bayside. Good Times.
Yeah I think it was silverstein or bayside have a promotional dvd with like 8 music videos on it from most of those bands. One from spitalfield and aiden too. They might have been dirtbags, but I guess they could get away with it having their promotional material be so good. Most fans wont even think about bts-type drama if theyre being fed quality content.
Man I've been watching a lot of your twitch clips and haven't watch a main video in so long. I forgot how freaking good they are will for sure be watching more often again
I know I'm SUPPOSED to like Homesick more, but the sheer amount of hype around Common Courtesy was just so insanely overpowering and it was such an unique time in my life and it tugged at all the right heartstrings and it was just so much that when it FINALLY came out and was SO good, it's an automatic #1 favorite album tbh.
I agree with that. I have a hard time with ranking one or the other as my #1 album due to what ADTR went through when making Common Courtesy. There was a lot of hype, they went through a lot of struggle, and in the end they delivered and they were able to release it. Homesick delivered too, but the story behind CC with the amazing songs makes them compete for my favorite lol
New Found Glory started easycore which ADTR started on in 1999. An unknown band called Drivethrujedi was trying this genre in 2002-2003. We never went anywhere as we just played a few living room shows and I went to become a promoter.
I was just listening to For Those Who Have Heart and Homesick the other day and those albums will forever live in my heart and bring me back to high school. I don't care how many missteps they might take with new albums, ADTR for life
These guys have basically been with me through my life, high school was homesick and what seperates me from you, common courtesy in uni.. bad vibrations and you're welcome while working. Man such a big part of my life. Love em
Been listening since their first album. I still listen and sing along to these guys. Top of their genre. The plot to bomb the panhandle was my first song, never gave up on them after that.
Story Time: The first time I heard A Day To Remember I was in 8th grade. I went to Knotts Berry Farm for my field trip and I was waiting in line for Silver Bullet. I was wearing a Slayer shirt and the a girl in front of me said ‘Hey I like your shirt. Have you heard of A Day To Remember?’ She told me to listen to Homesick. Sadly by the time I asked for her myspace she hoped on the ride and I never saw her again. No name or nothing. Little does she know that she changed my life forever since A Day To Remember is my favorite band and even have a Homesick tattoo now lol. Middle school was a wild time haha
My favorite band ever. Common Courtesy is the best album I've ever heard and Violence is the best song I've ever heard, I wish I were younger in 2003 and I could have grown up with their music.
Dude you might want to expand your tastes if you consider that the best album you’ve ever heard…. There’s a lot of great music out there. I enjoy ADTR but c’mon.
I'll never forget receiving the issue of Alternative Press that had them on the cover promoting Homesick back in '09 in the mail. Knowing nothing about them at the time, I immediately went to FYE and bought the record after reading their cover story, and I've been a massive fan of the band ever since that day. 🤘
For those Who Have Heart is so fucking good man. I love Homesick and What Separates Me From You, but FTWHH is pure gold. ADTR is Still my favorite band to this day.
I was working at guitar center in Wichita Kansas Fall of 2008. A member of a band touring with ADTR stopped by needing some heads and invited me to their show at the Oz Cafe on Douglas Ave. I didn't know who ADTR was, but when they came onto the stage the venue came alive unlike any show I'd experienced and when they played "A Plot to Bomb The Panhandle" everyone rushed the stage and sang with them: "I'll make my stand, right here with my friends!" then jumped back out and went crazy for the breakdown/ending. I have been a fan ever since and was so thankful for being invited to that show!
Wow Finn this was so well done and a pleasure to watch. I was the drummer for Jeremy’s first band in high school “All For Nothing” before he started ADTR. We always mixed genres and even had ska songs with trumpet & saxophone that had breakdowns in them. This video brings back a lot of memories! Thanks for the work that you do man, keep rockin!
Wow, you put them up there with BMTH? Even if just in marketability and trying-new-things-ness, that's high praise. They were the first two bands to pull me back into heavier music, so I guess it makes sense. HEY FINN, I love these history lessons - I want to know as much as possible about the whoooole scene, and it's so nice to not have to do all the research myself. I appreciate you.
dude your descriptions of bands is always spot on. i didnt give these guys a shot too at first cause i was too much of a hardcore kid. then i listened and fell in love. called them my happy hardcore band and went to see them on the homesick tour. great vid as always
I've been waiting til the weekend to sit down and watch this video. ADTR has been my favorite band forever so I am SO GLAD to see someone doing a docu on them. Thank you! Looking forward to watching more of your content. ❤️😊
I discovered them right as FTWHH came out and they were my favorite band for so long after that. My first band covered like 5 of their songs and we’d make the joke that we were just an ADTR cover band. We used to hang out and watch the Homesick Sessions on repeat (which I’m sure if I were to watch today it would only be a fraction as funny as it was back then). They’ll also have a huge place in my heart, even though I don’t really listen to them much these days.
I had heard a song of theirs and was just meh. Listened to that album starting on number 1 by the last song that album had blown me away, they're amazing
That album gave 14 year old me some confidence I never knew I had, which is so weird lol. But I’d walk the halls of my school with my head held high, thinking of their breakdowns 🤣
I wish they still played stuff other than panhandle live from that album. My all time favorite. Discovered them through homesick, but FTWHH has stuck with me since 09
My first taste of ADTR was when I got the victory records 2008 sampler from my local skate shop. It featured so many other artists such as funeral for a friend, drive side impact & hawthorne heights. Every time I listen ADTR now it unlocks core memories from middle school & my freshmen year of high school. My taste in music has changed since then but the nostalgia I get from a ADTR song is unreal.
ADTR reminds me of skating as a kid in the late 00s, they were the one band everyone at the park could get down with, no matter what they mainly listened to, good melodies and good times back then
I have so many core memories that relate to these guys. Especially homesick coming out. What me and my friends were doing. What was cool. What life was like. The styles and attitudes of everyone at the time. Girls we were dating. It was a simpler time. People were less angry and technology wasn't as pervasive in everyones lives. Good times. Definitely a bedrock band in shaping who I am today in some small way. For 2022 Spotify wrapped I was top 0.5% for ADTR and I think for me that says alot about how much they mean to me
I was in the middle of a 4 year stretch of touring when Common Courtesy came out, and right away I just connected with it; I struggle to imagine another album resonating with me the way that one did at that time
Great video Finn! My only gripe is I wish you would have touched a little more on WHY did they go to Fueled by Ramen after releasing two (successful) independent albums? Especially after their hellish experience with Victory it just seemed way too out of left field to not only go with another record label, but one that literally never produced a metal core band before...and I believe "You're Welcome" clearly showed that. Thankfully with the release of "Miracle" I have faith that their next album will try to go back to their homesick sound but for now we can only hope
@MyBeautifulDarkTwistedSilentPlanet I agree it wasn't nearly as good as anything put out during the Homesick era, but compared to the entire last album? It's the best thing since Bad Vibrations IMO
ADTR was such trip to hear about. In high school I tried to make my modest pop punk band get some heavier suitar tones and my singer could scream and I thought it would be nifty to incluide. Literally no one else in the band wanted to. They were the whole "if it's cool, I'm against it" type so they refused to scream because of the popularity of metalcore and screamo. A couple years after that we no longer played together and I was watching TV when ADTR's cover of Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone came on and I was sold. That was EXACTLY what I wanted to do, but at a much higher skill level than I could ever hope to have achieved with that old band. You always come with banger videos 👊
First song I ever heard was “I Heard it’s the Softest Thing Ever” on the album before Homesick and it had me hooked on these guys instantly, I love this band
What Separates me from You is probably my second favourite album to this day, right behind Three Cheers from Mcr. If I Leave is my favourite song, All I Want, It's Complicated and Lauderdale are No-Brainers, The House that Doubt Built and You'll be Tails are personal favourites and 2nd Sucks was the first ever song I knew from them. Aka 7 out of 10 songs are amazing to me, the remaining three aren't bad either, this band has just a very special place in my heart, as it has in so many other's And also: Miracle gave justified hopes of them making heavier music again. That single slaps hard
What a great video man, my all time favorite band. Definitely agree that Homesick, WSMFY, and Common Courtesy are such a strong trio of consecutive releases.
Common Courtesy will always be my favorite ADTR album. It came out my freshman year of college, the same day I left my long time boyfriend who had cheated. I was alone and upset and had to restart in a new place and meet new people. I've seen them live more times than I can count and I will always cry when they play songs from CC, because it's one of the biggest reasons I made it to where I am. I owe ADTR more than they will ever know.
As a big ADTR fan, without a doubt my favorite band since discovering them via iTunes in late 2000s. For those who have heart is my favorite album ever (live and recorded parts). Homesick and What Separates are classics! No skips on these 3 albums. The best 3 albums by any band in my life.! The last 3 albums aren’t my favorites. I talk to fans at the shows and anything with common courtesy and after, people seem to be unhappy.
I was at that show where a few hours before they got the OK to release Common Courtesy. I've seen the band 8 times now and that one is still the best time I've seen them. The energy was absolutely insane, the stage was incredible (it was during their House Party Tour), and the setlist was perfection. I've been a ride or die for this band for 10 plus years now. And I cannot wait for the next album.
Thank you Finn for doing another ADTR video. It’s great to get your updated takes on the band as we get further into their career. Great video! Really enjoyed watching it!
i love this band so much. 😭😭seven watching this i went down memory lane and got a little choked up. their music has gotten me through some of my hardest days. ADTR FOREVER
One of my friends was at an Emo Night and his Ex was there at the same time. His ex hates A Day To Remember, so he asked the DJ to play a bunch of their songs. The DJ played them and I laughed when he told the story.
I've actually only ever listened to Homesick and knew nothing about the band, quite an interesting story. Side note, I know you did a video on Epitaph Records awhile back, but have you done one on Victory? Sounds like a wild story to tell on it's own.
Being from Florida and a day to remember being my favorite band you nailed it. I think bad vibrations was just full of fear and hostility because of the victory record situation and to be honest it resonates in my soul. But then again I have always found them relatable they’ve been the soundtrack to my life.
Been listening to them since high school many years ago and finally got to see them last year! One of the best bands imo of the last 20 or so years. Great video Finn!
Wow, you're latest videos have really improved. Much more focused, personal, and insightful. If you're putting in extra work, it shows. I hope you keep it up!
ADTR has basically been my entire life growing up. They were (still are) my favorite band ever, repping overing 20 shirts to the point where if i didnt wear a ADTR shirt at school then kids would assume i was sad, going to so many concerts alone bc no one was listening to this type of music with me during the time. They got me through a lot and I will always support them! Sucks what happened with Josh but it is what it is.
Man some of the best memories of my life are tied to these guys. I remember hearing Downfall for the first time and listening to Homesick on loop during my late middle school days. I remember literally shaking with excitement when I spun Common Courtesy for the first time at like 3am on a school night in high school. I remember losing my mind over the whole ADTR 21 tonight back then too. CC will always be one of my favorite records of all time and the most excited I’ve ever been for a record and my music taste would be drastically different without FTWHH and Homesick. Really hope they bounce back next record, cause You’re Welcome was probably the most disappointing record I’ve ever heard. They sounded the best they’ve ever sounded during their recent acoustic tour, and honestly, I’d be cool if they started embracing that kind of sound moving forward. Obviously they’re a pop punk/metalcore band, but as they get older I’d like to see them move on a bit from that. Bands in those genres usually don’t age well. They are country boys after all.
I was disappointed with their You're Welcome album as well. However, a few songs have grown on me as time as gone by since the release. I would still rank it as my least favorite album. But, I have high hopes for them too. I am hoping You're Welcome was needed in the creative process, a way to bridge the gap between their old stuff, and for them to find their new sound.
In 2007, a friend let me borrow For Those Who Have Heart and I was instantly hooked -- I swear that I listened to that album on my iPod at least thousand times. In 2010, I saw them in at the Soma in San Diego during the Homesick tour for probably $15-20 in a less than packed house. I remember them asking "who has been listening to us since 2007?" only a few of us in the front cheered and Jeremy looked at us and said "bullshit." In 2019, I got to see them again at the Fillmore in Denver, this time tickets were closer to $100 and it was absolutely packed wall-to-wall. Regardless, right there in the front row getting kicked in the head, loving every minute of it. I've stuck with this band for years and have just been floored by everything they put out -- except You're Welcome, that felt like their version of St. Anger -- and look forward to their future as they continue to grow. If there has been one constant in my life the past 15 year, it has been A Day To Remember.
I had only heard the odd song from this band and never really paid attention. Then, in 2016, I finally gave Homesick a full listen and was cursing myself for robbing me of 7 years of ADTR.
My story is incredibly similar with diving into their music. I had seen Paranoia when it was premiered on RUclips back in 2016 and the rest was history. Like you said, I should've gotten into them waaaay earlier.
Sick video! Just getting back into ADTR and I haven't listened to them sick homesick. Really cool to catch up on the bands history! Thank you for this video! 🙏🏽🤘

My wife and I walked down the aisle to have faith in me played on an acoustic guitar. Been following them since the first full album and they always hit!!!
The music Playlist that me and the wife made to play before our wedding had that song on it as well 🙂
@@GIC2023 that’s awesome dude! One of my favorites from them for sure!
Downfall of us all was the processional song at my wedding and my wife and I's first dance was you had me at hello
@@casualzachgaming5801 literally such amazing picks for the wedding day!!!
Homesick my dude! But CC still 2nd best imo
For Those Who Have Heart was their BEST album. That album is perfect for anyone who likes punk or heavy music
I thought that was their only album :p
@@dlrsnate5100they have 8 albums
Common Courtesy is in my opinion peak ADTR. everything that was great about Homesick and WSMFY jammed together in one epic album. i truly believe it was made for the fans as well as for themselves.
I 100% agree, "Right back at it again" always makes me headbang along, doesn't matter in what mood I'm in, it always lights a fire
Absolutely. Not my favorite, but for sure their best album. The first 6 tracks on that album might be their best run of songs on any album.
The album is perfect.
hard agree
Homesick was hands down the ultimate gateway album for me. That completely shifted my musical tastes from that point onward.
this album and nightmare by a7x did exactly this to me lol ! no way back after that !
exactly. i have never listened to metal, then there was Homesick. i fell in love.
SAME HERE i was just thinking about that last night at their concert
I've seen them 17 times in 15 years. Still my all time favorite band
Damn I saw them 10 times in 15 years and thought that was a lot.
I was a sophomore when For Those That Have Heart released. I still remember when my friend showed me The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle and I was hooked. That album is still my personal favorite, but I do think Homesick is objectively their best.
This is exactly my adtr story
@@seth131 - Tell me... How did YOU feel when it was actually 2012, and you realized you couldn't fast forward to it anymore?
Still throw fucking sick shows
They probably do but seeing them in a little club in Des Moines, IA with maybe 50-100 people was special. Also my body didn’t miss a beat the next day back then. 🤣
Their shows are still kickass! I can’t wait to go to another one 🤘
Brooo they played in my shitty home town in Connecticut and fucking rocked the roof off our armory hahaha
Their first album still is my favorite to this day. It sounds like a local band trying to make it, which it was.
2004-2013 was such a fun time for this brand of music. I’ll never grow out of it. ADTR reminds me of being 16 and scream singing all over the roads of Kentucky with my best friends.
Me in Virginia and North Carolina too
This was also me and my friends all over the roads of Kentucky!
Homesick came out my sophomore year of college so a lot of really great memories are tied to that album. To this day I can play it and just get hit with a wave of nostalgia.
Same for me, brings back some good times.
Homesick is legit one of the absolute best albums of the entire decade.
I personally don’t like Homesick as much as And Their Name Was Treason and Common Courtesy
That early break down gives me the stankiest of faces, and concussions from headbanging
@@mathisalexander2446 full agree. So many bangers and so underrated
I found adtr with the marshmellow song and I’m so happy I did. Right after my first heartbreak and got me into this genre as a whole
They had a nice acoustic tour at the end of 2022 that was a success. Even watching the live stream every seat was packed. They reimagined a lot of their songs and even did this country blend to their songs. I’m definitely excited to see where they go next.
I totally missed that!! I'll have to check it out. Thanks man.
We went to the stop in Cinci and it was really cool to see them perform differently. It was our fourth time seeing them
That was quite literally one of my favorite concerts. It ticked for an acoustic show.
I'm hoping the acoustic tour songs hits Spotify!
Solid gateway band. Strive to be relevant and different... And can't beat the nostalgia that comes from the band. Appreciate the history lesson Finn 🤘
"You're Welcome" is such a disappointment, I'm hopeful "Miracle" is a preview of what's to come!

It’s such a bummer to read so many comments about homesick being their introduction to ADTR and never went back to listen to FTWHH, their greatest work
Hey you should learn to let go. 😂
Is And Their Name Was Treason a joke to you? Jeremy's vocals were perfect 😭
Bro if I could hug you for this comment I would
Love this channel I find new music that I wouldn’t have found otherwise
their live performances are a big reason why they've made it this far too. they put on some of the greatest shows. ive seen them at warped, small venues, big venues etc. its always amazing
Good Times.
Yeah. Killer line up.
Too bad they treat their artist like shit if they aren't one of the Big ones so artists seemed to start avoiding them
Man I've been watching a lot of your twitch clips and haven't watch a main video in so long.
Yes.
Honestly WSMFY is my favorite ADTR album.. 2nd Sucks, All I Want, and This is the House that Doubt Built still hold up
Story Time: The first time I heard A Day To Remember I was in 8th grade.
I remember discovering them on Fuse when I was in high school. Since then they have been one of my favorite bands
dude your descriptions of bands is always spot on. i didnt give these guys a shot too at first cause i was too much of a hardcore kid. then i listened and fell in love. called them my happy hardcore band and went to see them on the homesick tour. great vid as always
Yes Finn! Another video in the style that got me into your vids 3 years ago. 2 in a row now! Hoping this continues!
I love this band. I got into them in 2010 and I've been a fan ever since.
This is incredible timing. I read about Joshua Woodard today and am now excited to watch the video to see if you talk about it.
For those who have heart is still my favorite record hands down. Literally from start to finish all bangers
Literally don’t have to hit skip
I've been waiting til the weekend to sit down and watch this video. ADTR has been my favorite band forever so I am SO GLAD to see someone doing a docu on them. Thank you! Looking forward to watching more of your content. ❤️😊
My brother Scott-Anthony said to me once "I'm gonna make a band! We'll be called A Night to Forget and tour with a day to remember "
For those who have heart is STILL the best thing they’ve done so far musically. I love that album so much. Top 10 of all time for me
Same... every single song on there is basically a no.1 single for me..
Discovered them through homesick, but FTWHH has stuck with me since 09
Shinedowns first 3 albums and three days grace first 3, disturbed gobsmack etc?
My first taste of ADTR was when I got the victory records 2008 sampler from my local skate shop. It featured so many other artists such as funeral for a friend, drive side impact & hawthorne heights. Every time I listen ADTR now it unlocks core memories from middle school & my freshmen year of high school. My taste in music has changed since then but the nostalgia I get from a ADTR song is unreal.
Ffaf where on victory!?!
That homesick album art is second to none.
Aka 7 out of 10 songs are amazing to me, the remaining three aren't bad either, this band has just a very special place in my heart, as it has in so many other's
And also: Miracle gave justified hopes of them making heavier music again. That single slaps hard
"This Is The House That Doubt Built" is underrated af. That song is incredible.
My all time favorite band! Their music helped me through so many bad times in my life
Should do a rise and fall or history of Blessthefall 🤘
What a great video man, my all time favorite band. Definitely agree that Homesick, WSMFY, and Common Courtesy are such a strong trio of consecutive releases.
I found this band due to this channel, so thanks Finn, and bands should embrace social media if they want new fans.
Their shows are absolutely amazing, never seen a more energizing concert.
Great video as always. Like their music or not, it’s undeniable how influential they were to the scene and how talented they are.
They were on a free song of the week at some point, right?
Frickin love these guys. Their merch aesthetic was massive back in the day
I've actually only ever listened to Homesick and knew nothing about the band, quite an interesting story.
Love it, a dedicated video to my favourite band of all time, amazing work fin
Wow, you're latest videos have really improved. Much more focused, personal, and insightful. If you're putting in extra work, it shows. I hope you keep it up!
ADTR has basically been my entire life growing up. They were (still are) my favorite band ever, repping overing 20 shirts to the point where if i didnt wear a ADTR shirt at school then kids would assume i was sad, going to so many concerts alone bc no one was listening to this type of music with me during the time. They got me through a lot and I will always support them! Sucks what happened with Josh but it is what it is.
Sound lonely mate 😊
i still remember my friend played in a band in high school and his myspace quote was "we got a show with a day to remember" for like 3 years
I still remember Kevin Skaff’s high school band. I might even a burned CD around somewhere.

I'm amazed Common Courtesy was recorded in living rooms. It slaps so hard and probably my favorite album from them.
Great video! It always gives me goosebumps hearing Ocala since I grew up there
Man some of the best memories of my life are tied to these guys.
Great stuff, always fun learning the behind the scenes info (well not always but ya know)
Pop goes Crunk honorable mention: Devil Wears Prada “still fly” cover 🔊
Great tune
Then, in 2016, I finally gave Homesick a full listen and was cursing myself for robbing me of 7 years of ADTR.
i think we've all been there with different bands or albums... better late than never!
@@stoph224 That's how I am with Parkway Drive. Its pretty cool when a band has years of kick ass music to listen to
My story is incredibly similar with diving into their music.
Never forget when I first heard them instantly loved it. For those who have heart will always be a favorite for me
