HOLY MOTHER OF BMTH 🔥
Drop your fav track below! Thanks for watching/liking
Kingslayer
I can’t wait to listen to it! Teardrops is on the tippy top of one of my favorite songs of 2020 so far.
torn between Obey, Teardrops and Kingslayer, they're just all SO DAMN GOOD 😍
Was dying to hear what you thought about Teardrops. I liked Parasite Eve, and loved Obey, but holy shit.... Teardrops has been stuck in my head since they dropped it and I don’t want it to leave! Dying to hear the rest of the album now
Dear Diary been waiting a long time for a There Is A Hell type song since it one of my favorite albums.
The song with Babymetal was just ridiculously good
That’s the one I’m most excited for!
It's insanely good, the track has everything really.
Howd u get to listen it early?

Kingslayer is a godsend of a track.
Between this album and the newest Movements, I feel like bands are really showing their Linkin Park influence this year.
somebody needs to take the mantle and take rock music back to the mainstream.
That movements album might just be one of my favourites this year
As Finn McKenty from the Punk Rock MBA said in many of his videos, for some reason nu metal was always loathed, but recently it's been extremely common for modern metalcore bands to embrace their nu metal influences.
@@EthanRom I dont think this has enough mainstream appeal unfortunately. That's The Spirit did succeed at that role pretty well tho.
@@FairyCRat ironically Finn McKenty almost NEVER praises Linkin Park and even said he doesn’t consider them Nu-Metal(he’s flat out wrong) he’s probably the wrong person to bring up in response to this comment lmao
Sounds like the top 10 bmth songs list needs an update
I had to update my own lmfao.
The fact that BMTH's "EP" is longer than Green Day's "album" just seems kinda funny to me.
"oli cant scream anymore"
oli: "give me a BREAK"
“okay”
Have you heard dear diary?
@@ashstuart7498 dude its a joke
The band carried Linkin Park's Legacy here in such a masterful way while also mantainig their originality. I'm not someone who belives on things like that, but when I listened to this, I just felt like Chester was there, singing with Oli at the top of his lungs and I just couldn't hold my tears. It's definitely not my fav bmth album, but respect it a lot for what it does (from the LP tribute to the amazing experimentations on the band's sound) and I can't deny that it rocks hard asf. So yeah, I'm really happy that they're doing what they love and expanding their horizons yet honoring their heroes' legacy.
Kingslayer ft BABYMETAL 🔥🔥🔥
Ludens still sounds so fresh to me, definitely pushing the genre toward, more bands should take note.
The pre-chorus of Teardrops is an instant earworm.
Sounds like the pre-chorus of Break my Heart by Dua Lipa (not that it's a bad thing)
@@omegazx7236 trueeeeeeeee
Straight up one of the best releases these guys have ever done, holy crap. Not a single song short of SOLID.
I didn’t expect to like the song they had baby metal feat. on as much as I did. It’s definitely on repeat for me
"Dear Diary,", "Kingslayer" & "1x1" were my favorite three tracks that weren't singles. Stupdily good release.
New BMTH and the return of The Mandalorian in the same day, hell yes, I will make sure to take an afternoon nap and drink a big thing of Coffee on Thursday, in order to make sure that I have enough energy to enjoy both to the fullest by the time midnight on Friday hits
I love that this band does whatever they want and do it pretty well. Can’t wait to hear this full ep for myself
Oh boy I can’t wait for nu metal’s second wave
same
Code Orange, Loathe and Vein are doing great.
Nu-metalcore is absolutely popping off - Northlane, Currents, Alpha Wolf, and Thornhill are crushing it right now
@@miserirken Tallah, Dropout Kings, Discrepancies, Fire From The Gods, Hacktivist etc. The Nu wave of Nu Metal is just 🔥🔥🔥
I honestly loved Amo. It just hit differently. Sempiternal is my all time favorite, it brings me back to being a teenager. But everything they have been dropping this year has made me feel alive in such a shit time.
I'm a metalcore fan but Amo is my favorite honestly, it's their most creative and it's banger after banger
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Yeah lately I've been quite active here 😂😂
@@omegazx7236 I don’t blame you, it’s just so different. And when it came out it just kinda fit in that stage of life for me.
@@omegazx7236 Completely agree.
I'm someone who loves BMTHs new material more than their roots, but I am beyond excited for this thing. Obey is one of the best fucking singles of 2020.
Edit: Oh my god this is insane. Kingslayer is incredible, the closer is amazing too
Where can I find this ep . I can't find it on Spotify
@@adaptive_taste I have the same problem
@@adaptive_taste make sense since it’s out on the 30/10
@@swann7006 oh! Thanks
woah dude, you're here as well? I never thought someone aside from me could be a fan of both porter robinson and bmth at once
I have been stuck in "Obey" for actual months at this point.
As much as I am a late blooming scene kid I never really got into BMTH that much aside from a few singles, but I fucking LOOOOOOOVE this EP.
I've been so deathly bored of heavy music lately that this is exactly what I needed, every song is just phenomenal (well, still not 100% sold on Parasite Eve.) My fav's gotta be Kingslayer, + the interlude that ramps up to it, it's just pure heavy bliss.
See thats wild because parasite eve is the only song i like from the ep
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 i havent been the biggest fan of bmth since sempiternal, but something about parasite sits nice for me idk. Ill let bmth fans battle this out
@@insertname8999 I mean I guess it is the most popular of all the songs I think as a single so I can understand that
I had the widest grin on my face when Dear Diary ended... man, what an awesome EP. At this rate, BMTH are climbing the ranks to become on my top 5 bands.
I can't stress this enough how I can't wait to see the reactions to Itch for the Cure into Kingslayer (they need to be listened together as Itch serves as the intro of course).
Never in my life I expected perfected chaos but Bring Me really did that with Babymetal no less.
Absolutely pushing it into my choice of song of the year.
Where did you find it and how are you listening to it early
Shoutout to BMTH for saving 2020 with this masterpiece
I'm so glad Bring Me The Horizon are doing what they are doing. They are the future of Rock music. They are holding the torch. And if people have a problem with that they are just wrong. This is probably my favorite album from them now tbh
I mean i guess but theres plenty of other bands "holding the torch" for rock and metal, not just bmth
@@insertname8999 Any you'd recommend?
@@MusicJunkie37 for rock definently royal blood, osees, violent soho, deftones, idles, highly suspect, Dz Deathrays and definently King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard For metal, Northlane, Thornhill, Gojira, Alien Weaponary, Architects, Bury Tomorrow, Periphery, Polaris, Chelsea Grin, Alpha Wolf and Monuments.
What defines the future of Rock? There are a lot of newer Rockbands out there.
@@dachstheangry9735 Listen to I Prevail there album Trauma is my favorite album of all time seriously next to Thats The Spirit by BMTH, A Thousand Suns by Linkin Park and The Division Bell by Pink Floyd those are my favorite albums there the highest in my list
First Deftones Ohms, Linkin Park 20th anniversary, now BMTH. This year has been amazing for rock!
Kingslayer is my new favorite one. The chorus parts with Suzuka is eargasm. 💖
So is br00talsw4g living in your closet now?
Thanks for being the go to guy for music news and reviews. ☺
Me being in the uk having to Waite 12 more hours till it’s out 😂
With this EP, it feels like they’ve perfectly nailed blending the riff-based heaviness of their early days, with the pop & electronic elements they’ve been playing around with since Sempiternal. This, is easily a 5/5 in my ears! Plus, it might be I’ve only been a BMTH fan for about 6 months, but really it feels like there’s no better time to become one! Hell I can easily admit they’re one of my new favorite bands 🎸😎
Wait so Post Human: Survival Horror is just 1 of other 3 EPs???? HOLY SHIT!!
I’m actually really excited about this EP. I mean Babymetal, Amy Lee? But I’m not a YUNGBLUD fan so “Obey” is the only song I’m not thrilled about. But Parasite Eve and Teardrops are phenomenal. Can’t wait to hear the full EP
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 the song sounds fantastic, and I love the BMTH parts. But I just can’t get on board with YUNGBLUD’s style
The thing with yungblud is, he really shines on this collab and I also love a good amount of covers he did. But for some reason his original work doesn't click with me. I think the guy really does have talent, he just needs to put all of that into his work, instead of forcing this rebellious teenage grunge latebloomer persona he puts up
@@maroeska5321 I’m the same way. I’m not a fan of his image or whatever. But he’s not talentless. I actually think Obey is a perfect song, I just could do without the feature that’s all. It’s not less perfect bc of it, I’m just not a fan.
Ok, you sold it to me. I am stoked to hear this now! Loved the cameo by XXBR00TALSWAG69XX too!
Australian here, and it’s been released on Spotify for my Timezone. It’s genuinely great! I wholeheartedly agree with the statement of it being almost “on-par” or alongside sempiternal. Usually with Albums and EP’s there’s a few songs that don’t really do it for me, but this is an exception, every song is just awesome! Loved how in depth your review is, keep it up :)
This is the first time I saw him this excited
It's been too long since I've watched your videos, Jon I can't tell you how much your videos mean to me, I'm glad to be back, :)
Aw, well happy to have you back!
Whoa! I can’t wait to hear this album: 5/5 gonna be amazing!!
Finally got to listen it myself and damn, you weren't kidding. And "all of them tbh" in best tracks makes a lot of sense, caise this record is all killer no filler. Love every track, Kingslayer especially, absolute bop. I always been a fan of BMTH and even their poppier stuff I mostly enjoyed (I liked amo overall), but this is probably the best thing they released since Sempiternal. Need to listen to it more, but so far to me it's 9/10 at least.
Good review Jon, you really articulated yourself well.
My mind was blown when I first heard Dear Diary, Kingslayer.
Really good EP, it's gonna be interesting to hear how the next one is gonna sound in terms of style.
This was fun to watch, but regarding the Mick Gordon co-production thing, apparently Mick just made the band a sample pack and sent it their way, I.E. he did not actually contribute to producing the songs themselves, he just sent samples... still super cool though
He played a bigger part in producing Parasite Eve though
Amazing reviews
Wow. What an incredible review! Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it!
This is awesome. Just the thing I need to get me out this mood I have been in! Good to know it's up there with Sempiternal :D
Well I'm sold (not that I needed to be). If you liked it this much I'm gonna lose my mind over it.
I can’t wait to listen to this whole album!! Not all the songs are available to me so I have to wait. :(
I had pretty much given up on BMTH but when I heard Obey it quickly became one of my favorites of the year and since you gave this ep a 5/5, I'll be sure to check it out
Edit: I realized how this comment sounded so let me clarify. I didn't stop listening because they changed their sound, I just got into other music and I started outgrowing their stuff
I've been listening to this EP all damn week. Its so ridiculously amazing I can't even put it into words. As someone that only liked half of amo, im happy to be hyped about BMTH again
Every song that Mick Gordon touches turns into solid metal.
And that’s why we love him 😁.
This EP is so amazing. It definitely suprised me and I'm so glad they're heavier again. Every song is amazing. Overall: 5/5
Favourites: Dear diary, 1x1, kingslayer, ludens
i love this review so much. Thank you.
Just listened to this In full for the first time. As a long time BMTH, I can honestly say I am blown away 😂😂😂
this is the most refreshing EP of 2020 for me
been waiting for this!!
1x1 is one of their best songs EVER imo 😳
Ludens (still) has to be my favorite rock track in a while...
This is the best review you’ve written in a while I’m back to this channel again lol no offense this is meant as praise only 🤘🏼
Anybody who STILL thinks the band has sold out needs to give this a listen. Dear diary legit has the power to being back those old fans back.
This album is a 10/10 EASY. Honestly might be their new Magnum Opus which is insane to say out loud
Kingslayer is literally the epitome of a DOOM soundtrack
Hi ARTV my name is Evan I'm 29 and I think you and I have the same taste in music 🎶
obey was suuuch a good collab. i was really happy to see yungblud tap into that genre. i hope we see more of that style from him in the future. him & oli sound great together!!
I feel like I’m nowhere into BMTH as much as I was about a year ago but I’ll still check this out when it drops tomorrow
I feel you didn't worship "Kingslayer" enough
I bow at its feet
1x1 is probably my favorite on this EP. It just gives me an amazing feeling. The EP as a whole does as well
i adore this EP. my mouth was on the floor for the whole ride. there were so many jaw-dropping moments.
It is pretty much a perfect record imo, though I must admit, the difference in heaviness between the first two singles and the remaining heavier songs makes me wish they brought PE and Ludens to the same level as the others. Of course, doesn't mean I dislike those songs, just that I prefer Obey, Kingslayer etc because they're that damn good. So glad to see the boys on this hot streak of excellent new material.
I feel like the last song works kind of as an intro/interlude/build up to next EP Post Human 2, which will probably have more slow and experimental songs, kinda like in amo. They've said they'll released 4 EPs, all part of the Post Human series but each having a distinct sound.
So surprised by this release :0 I kinda forgot about them after That's The Spirit and wow this EP is soooo good and im excited for more! Kingslayer and 1x1 is top tier
Not a big Bring Me The Horizon fan but this album/ep is practically flawless
I totally agree, it was phenomenal!
One of my favourite songs of the year so far, Earth Is A Blackhole by Teenage Wrist was also released this week. Will you review it in any of your videos?
This thing is SO good. I’m hooked.
Bro this album is 10/10
I just listened for the first time and found myself laughing hysterically and smiling as soon as I hit play. This made me so happy. My fav defo dear diary. Mind, blown.
I finally got around to listen to it and it’s a 5 out 5 for me too. If this was an album it would be easily album of the year. But since it’s an EP, it’s my EP of the year haha. Tied with No Pressure (Parker Cannon). I love this EP so much and I’m really glad they released it!
1x1 is top tier. It’s as if the band plucked it straight from That’s The Spirit, and polished it with their new electronic sound. Kind of reminds me of Don’t Look Down.
I listened to this all day at work, at first I only liked the last three songs and tho they’re my favourites, all the other songs grew on me and now I like everyone. Amazing album
Binging ARTV videos since I missed a lot when I got busy before the current chaos outside happened... Very happy this got a 5/5. Love lots of artists but some tend to do the same shit repeatedly so it gets boring and I lose interest for a bit, i think its great that bmth likes experimenting even if it's not always perfect etc... i'm excited to see each of their releases bc it kinda keeps me on my toes and I never really know what to expect from them anymore
they could've easily released something like suicide season, there is a hell, or sempiternal so that they can be sure the fans love it and they could milk the record for all its worth.... but thats not just them.... alex gaskarth mentioned in a recent interview that he'd like to collab with bmth esp since theyre all good friends and i kinda want to see that happen just bc im wondering what it'll be like
Man I would love for their next POST HUMAN EP to be a 5 song ballad pieces. I would love more “Follow you” or “Blessed with a Curse”
I'm not even usually a rock fan and I agree with everything said in this video. Absolutely astonishing record.
Teardrops is by far my favourite, one of my favourite songs of the year. 1x1 is also pretty good
6:54 kills me everytime. Killed it John!! 😁
Such a good album! Love it!
Video reccomendation: Top 10-20 Deathcab for Cutie songs
oh God, the day has arrived
i love that linkin park reference (itch for the cure, cure for the itch, also interlude...)
ok
This was their best album since senpiternal
This EP was so good that xXBr00talsw4gXx made a return
I’d love to see you rank the record. Considering your lack of negativity towards it, I’m presuming it would be tough.
THIS EP BLEW MY MIND OMG! I COULDN'T STOP HEADBANGING!!!
I thought i couldn't look forward to it more, but i was wrong
So, is this an EP or an album? I'm seeing mixed answers 😂
The band considers it to be an EP, but it's too long to be an EP so it's generally considered an album. Wikipedia just calls it a recording.

@@ARTV- Ah, so I guess it's not eligible for the end of the year list.
Sadly it looks that way
I think because off the blending with 'softer' genres they really make me appreciate the heavier stuff more. It's the contrasts that make the album in this case
Their best album yet

i admit it's not my favorite release from BMTH but it is a good ep to put on to just zone out and vibe to.
I am beyond speechless. HOLY SHIT
This album, Sempiternal, Suicide Season, and This is a Hell, are why they are my 2nd favorite band
Damn, this is a long EP! I'll call it a mini album :D
yes ofc
Just praying that the song from the guttural episode of their bmth08 series isn't an outtake 🙏🙏🙏
It’s not on the ep and I’m sad about it but the other songs are amazing what’s weird is the lyrics in the guttural video is the title of the last song so that confsued me
