I also wanted to pin this since I'm sure some of you are confused by me saying "no more scripted reviews". I've been doing those for so long, you may have noticed I pivoted from straight up "review" content a few years ago.
I will continue to cover music here on ARTV in the form of Rankings, SOS, Tier Lists, Commentaries, and yeah, even some review content with Rock/Pop Gone Wrong! As a Green Day super fan, I’ve gotta say this is their best album in about 15 years (even though Rev Rad was also a master piece). Every song has a different feel to it and makes it more of an experience. From The American Dream Is Killing Me to Bobby Sox to Goodnight Adeline to Corvette Summer to Living In The 20s and then right into Father To A Son, all these songs which are very different in their own way go together and create this masterpiece of an album.

Them playing Dookie and AI in full is what pushed me to buy tickets. But Saviors... THAT is what I'm psyched to hear.
They are clearly so excited about this album, which makes me beyond excited to hear these songs live. I cannot wait to hear Dilemma, Bobby Sox, and, if I'm lucky, Goodnight Adeline.
The last one is so powerful, comparing the struggle with drinking to that of a toxic relationship. It also made me nostalgic because I used to own clothing from Billie's Adeline Street brand (it's what I wore to my first GD show ever :')).

Some of the songs are too repetitive for my taste (like “1981”) and some of the songs I haven’t really found that memorable (like “Living in the 20s” or “Fancy Sauce” that I remember almost nothing about even though I’ve listened to the full album twice so far.)

Besides the singles, my favorites are 1981, Coma City, Father to a Son, Strange Days Are Here to Stay, Corvette Summer, and Livin' in the 20s.

I could make an essay of a comment but we both don’t have time for that. I really like the album, and it’s grown on me as my first listen (at the record store preview) was mixed. I even listen to the songs I’m not a huge fan of (Bobby Sox and Corvette Summer and Fancy Sauce) because they either say something beautiful or make me want to hear it out. There is something in this album for every fan of any era and I really appreciate that. It made me appreciate some of their works that I didn’t like beforehand. Wow, I ended up writing an essay anyway. My fault

Excited to have the boys back to doing what they do best. I like every song on this record, with the exception of One Eyed Bastard. Just can't get into that one, probably because the opening riff is just "So What" by P!nk which uhh, lets say isn't my favorite P!nk song lol. But otherwise, I'm all in. I love how they can put out a POS like Father Of All, and most people would write them off but nope - they can still come back and show the world how it's meant to be done! Saviors is Green Day's best since 21CB for me. Dilemma is far and away their best song in YEARS, honestly in their top 5 of their whole catalogue tbh. I personally love Bobby Sox, can't wait to see it live and hear everyone shouting the chorus - that will go off!

I always knew this album would come out in 2024, since they tend to release new albums in presidential election years. Same as Father of All, Revolution Radio, and the trilogy. I've only listened to it twice so far, but I think it's by far the best album they've made since 21st Century Breakdown. I look forward to seeing them live this summer. Lots of new songs off Saviors, plus all of Dookie and American Idiot. Hard to imagine a better setlist. As for the 13th album curse, they're not the only band that's been subject to it. Around The Sun by R.E.M. comes to mind as another example.

The bar must be in hell if people think this is top tier Green Day lol of course it was going to be better than father of all-because how can you mess up twice-but this was so predictable of them. Sounds like they are going through the motions and the “social commentary” is surface level. Not expecting them to tackle theory or anything but it gives me old man yells at cloud vibes. Definitely better than their last 2 albums but that’s not saying a lot lol idk I’m not hearing anything groundbreaking or refreshing from them. I’ve only listened to it twice so maybe my opinion will change later on.
